ISSUES With My Main Gaming Mice (Viper v3 Pro, Finalmouse ULX)

Razers bad QC is legendary at this point. All scroll wheels fail on viper v2 pro, and we are talking about a 150€ mouse!!!

My white viper v3 pro coating did wear out after like 3 weeks

Anyone else have super scratchy feet on the Viper v3 Pro? I had the Viper v2 Pro and right now also the DA v3 Hyperspeed and those skates feel normal...

used to slam tf out of my GPX1. haven’t slammed my vv3pro and it’s been some months but good to know i should never start lol

I'm not too sure about Finalmouse QC but my ULX has been having issues for the past couple months - specifically the scroll wheel. I've been using it as my daily since I got my preorder in December, and for the past couple months my scroll wheel encoder has been jumping/chattering to the point where I'm currently talking to Finalmouse support to see if I can get it fixed/a replacement unit.

Crazy how people still recommend mice from a company that rarely has their product in stock. Does it matter how they improve the next batch if the general public can't even get their hands on a unit without paying scalper prices from a third party?

I decided to get a viper v3 pro and got a white version that had side popping the 2nd day of using it and the clicks felt slightly off (dont know if it was because i was adjusting or a qc issue) i returned it and got a black one and it has been fine fir a couple of days now. Hopefully it holds up

You fucked up the coating on your ulx with grip tape? How on earth is that your fault lmao, if a $200 mouse can't handle grip tape adhesive and yellows/blackens over time then it's just a bad product. For that price I'm expecting more than just a simple ultra lightweight mouse, when these kinds of corners are cut in the quality it just really ruins the product for most people especially when theres products for significantly cheaper that don't have those kinds of corners cut.

the coating on the ULX special editions suck, in my experience the (tarik) one, you'd think the white sides would yellow stain first, but the blue on the triggers do, and this seems to be inevitable over use, unless u just put grip tape on it.

The "black smudge" on the Aceu is the paint. Because the base is black and it takes so many white coats to give it the white color, on elevated pieces of the mouse like the engravings its going to be uneven and the base color is going to show through.

hey Boardzy, curious to know your view on the Zowie U2 after all the time you have had to use it. is it even worth getting if you can use the V3 Pro?

Im in love with my ULX Aceu tbh. I play Apex and a small, light weight mouse is perfect for that 1-3-1 trident grip.

my v3 pro stopped working and i 100% did not slam or drop it. just doesn’t work wirelessly anymore so that’s cool

I also had this issue that u had with the viper v3 pro in white, I had been slamming my mouse same as you and my deathadder v3 pro stopped working wirlesss, and my sensor is fked up, like it freezes from time to time, just ordered viper v3 pro

Still using my ULX Medium Batch 3 and I have zero issues. I am truly hoping for the new series they are doing we get something like the Tenz coating. The staining issue kinda kept me away from both the Aceu and Tarik editions

@boardzy or anyone who actually familiar with ulx series, what is the newer version and what would be better to get, tarik or aceu edition, or maybe standard ulx is better? Thank you for answers

finalmouse has poor build quality, there are creaks and flex in the sides of the mouse (where you hold it), and my scroll wheel likes to act up every once in a while. Also I personally do not like the coating at all. Btw, im a batch one M guardian

Having sensor issues with my Viper V3 Pro. Out of nowhere it will stop tracking for a split second and then kick back on. I've messed with the LOD as much as possible with no fix yet

I see qc razer didn’t improve since my last two mice from them, deathadder 2013 and deathadder elite. Both of them had sensor issues and double click after 2 years of use

im personally thinking of going back to wired after my lamzu thorn bites the dust, I already have to have a giant wire tethered to my desk for the 4k receiver. Why not just have the cable for 8k HZ built in already? the only thing I lose is the ability to play from my bed on the TV. But that is limited to casual games like Uno/Monopoly/Party Animals/you get the gist.

You should review the attack shark r1 it’s a razer death adder v3 clone and it has been really great for me and I’d like to get your opinion on it.

My Razer Deathadder V2 died just out of warranty...would simply disconnect itself for no apparent reason....it was a wired one but the wire was never damaged, twisted or kinked.. got a Logitech G502X+ as a replacement.

Waiting for my Razer Deathadder v3 Pro. I've seen many bad reviews, but also, I've heard that they fixed issues in newer batches. I'll give it 1.5 weeks of testing, and if it'll be fine, I'll keep it. If not, then I won't buy any Razer product ever again

Funny enough the viper v2 pro had lots of issues with people's dongles stop working. As for the paint on the finalmouse thats nothing new look at the used market for the cherry blossom ninja air 58... All the used blue ones have dark stains on m1/2.

Have the same issue with the Tarik ULX didn’t get the Aceu thinking it would be worse but ho idea why it would be black on the Aceu. Maybe they need a better finishing coat

Is arbitar akitsu any good? Where does that land in the conversation. It's a Chinese company and similar to final. How is the quality compared and shape.

I got my Viper v3 Pro in black and 1 month later back of the shell is creaking like crazy and the side pops.

my personal mouse that i use for gaming, an HSK pro 4k in wine red ive had for over a year and a half and besides swapping out the battery to a smaller one when i first got it. ive had no issues at all

Mine fell 7 different times slamming on the floor, and it works perfectly.

I did the same slam with my superlight V2, and it broke too..

This must be a bigger issue for Razer, same thing happened to my DAv3 pro. Wireless bricked only can use it wired.

I dropped my DAV3 and never was right. Meanwhile, my GPX superlite is basically indestructible

I actually had a couple of problems with my VV3, I had a deadzone that sometimes did not track small movements, I also got some side popping on the left. Really sucks because its such a good mouse

Lol, I had a steelseries aerox 3, and it just randomly died on me. I've also had a lot of issues with that brand when it comes to the software and the main buttons. I used to love the company but short after they released the Rival 600 which was considered one of the best mice on the market at the time, the company went on a straight decline quality-wise.

Honestly, this is something that i want to see a bit more. How do these mices really hold up in the future when you have thousand of hours of use. My experience with a lot of my stuff was it started to fail in some random and very annoying ways like scroll wheel start to die and not function properly. Same for IEMS, like i can't find someone who just use one pair for years and say, "This is good, it works the same as day 1". i would love to buy some IEMS but they randomly die for no reasons. They are so fragile even if im using them very carefully, they just tend to break. Right now im using a GPX 1 and a beyerdynamic DT900 pro X for 2+ years and it is still working the same as day 1 in term of fonction. In term of quality though, my battery on my GPX fell down so i had to change skates and retape my battery in place and the band on my headset just had to be replaced because it is badly designed. We need more long term review, not just 1 month or 2. Because today everything is comparable in term of performances but in term of longevity, this is where you know something is good.

Hand sweat will cause it to degrade the coating over time. ULX has always had this issue more so than other brands. Something to do with a combination of the salt, acidity and ph levels. Some people have it worse than others and their sweat composition will degrade their coatings in a matter of weeks.
