Regulations change quite often in Turkey but some good news is that from September 2020 all estate agents have to be registered at the deed office making it much safer to buy for locals and foreigners. Also I believe the title deed fee is now 1.5% for both the buyer and seller. Make sure you get a good lawyer which is something you should do for any country you buy in.

Thanks for sharing all this great information Loukas. I wish you will make a video with general recommendations when investing in rental properties overseas. Mainly, I am thinking of how you manage the property. Do you use a local management company - and if so, do you have any suggestions for how to find a good company for this? My largest concern is the risk that it is going to take more of my time than what I may have expected in the first place.

Great job Giorgio! I am an Istanbulian real-estate investor, and I would say that you explained all quite well. I would like to add one more thing. Even the turkish lira value drops in against to us-dollar, the real-estates will not in means of us dollar currency. This argument is true in most cases such as the newly-built apartments and some attractive-densed neighbourhoods. Following your other contents, well done Giorgio! I am more interested in the rules and auctions in UK and Italy. I appreciate if you make one of those.

Greetings of the day Mr. Giorgio Loukas! I have just subscribed to your channel. I have seen many many many videos and find yours to be by far the best. I have a question.? I am looking to invest in real estate which will help me get residency status. After a lot of research I came up with Turkey and Serbia for having no minimum cost criteria regarding real estate investment to get residency. No doubt part of the reason why the minimum threshold for Citizenship via investment was brought down so low is because of the instability in the currency and the lack of hard currency in the Turkish reserves. Do you think the Turkish government will clampdown on currency exports for investors who will be taking their money overseas? - You know much like Lebanese banks has back stabbed the people and will not let them withdraw their OWN money?

Great videos, love them. But Turkey is a ticking time bomb. Running out of USDs and making enemies with the EU. Lira will hyper inflate.

Yes, there are some good arguments to invest into the Turkish market but your last statement considering the political situation in Turkey ruins all positive aspects mentioned before. To my mind, Turkey is out of control. The government is not able to stabilize their currency (Inflation up to 15%) and the political system is heavily corrupt and led by a dictator. I don’t need 8 positive points to invest into a market when there are just two major problems (unstable currency, corrupt political system including dictatorship) that needs to be solved first. This market is anything else than mature!

I am in Istanbul... Trust me...The lira will drop more and more....I wouldn't invest here anymore.. Lol
