From the 14th Century Tuscan manuscript in the British Library Add MS 29987, here is the medieval istanpitta "Belicha" (probably means battle or conflict but the meanings of the titles of the istanpitta are often a mystery). Another long work with complex repetitive structure, this istanpitta has five sections or puncta that are repeated with an open (aperto) and then a closed (chiuso) ending. Section Quinta jumps back midway back into Quarta so it's quite a labyrinthine task to follow the manuscript.
