With what shows this lute, and the music knowlege of 5 thousand years around the world, wil be possible a acoustic without electronics instrument who resembles a electric guitar with distorsion..?
@rainerbernhardt6193
@rainerbernhardt6193 7 месяцев назад
@@ardibeltz541 The Distortion was made popular by Eric Clapton, if I recall correctly. The fresh band (Cream) did not have money for big Amplifiers, and they were not loud enough in the clean area of amplification. So Eric decided to simply make them louder, entering the area were tube amplifiers start clipping - the distorted guitar sound was made popular. Why I am telling You this? Well clipping just means the a sinus wave cannot reach its peak and is cut, this way becoming more a rectangular like shape. You can achieve that by String buzz or limiting the swinging amplitude of the top of an acoustic instrument. Most likely these are the least ask for features at luthiers for a reason...

The double strings are basically chords right? Can you set the distance of semitones between the two strings? Isn't possible to make an electric instrumento that allow the user to set them on the fly, allowing such instrument to sound like a piano, having all the pholyponic possibility of it?

This Lute is an absolute masterpiece and Don José should consider himself a legendary builder . The sound is so ridiculously fast and perfectly developing/emanating and of such enormity that it never will need any environmental or artificially added reverb, this instrument is monstruously impressive ... especially the strenght and clarity of the bass course . I got a 12 string guitar almost 3 years ago now and I can tell you, I noticed the difference in sound when I heard it in recordings as well as when I began taking lessons (my instructor played a 6 string). It’s a wonderfully fun and diverse instrument and everyone thought I was nuts because I never played before and I wanted to start with something so difficult. Only my instructor had faith in me. I played piano most of my life, which he said would make it easy for me to learn. I also play instruments by ear, so I can learn most anything. I was teaching myself before my first lesson. @Brandon Acker : Gorgeous ! As my archilute is single stringed this effect is not as strong as you show, but still: this sympathetic effect is so strong that I actually use it for fine tuning : when the whole set of bass and medium strings is well tuned and you tune the D or G, it is amazing : when you're out of tune by say 1/20 tone (according to electronic device) the string plays OK but not with what you're demonstrating. And suddenly when you reach the exact tension the string starts singing like -as you say- in a cathedral. The second issue you reach with this demonstration is the "temperament" issue : I personally use to tune my archilute with Werckmeister III (G root) and I noticed that the D must be a "chouia" (arabic term meaning a very little) up, and the G a "half chouia" (very very little) up... Anyway, certainly NEVER equal temperament !!! Please tell and tell again your guitar students : NEVER USE A PIANO TO TUNE YOUR GUITAR (or lute of course) !!! The third point your reach is that such a resonance obliges the player to mute the open string according to the duration of the note... and this can be tricky to do (Bach...)! Thanks again !

YT's subtitles have determined that this is "loot", and it can therefore be concluded that you lifted this from the bard you mugged... But seriously, the instrument sounds beautiful and your playing complements it

Totally love your demonstration that sympathetic resonance...reverb natural. When you muted the bass strings it dampened the reverb natural but still was there. This volume increase is FANTASTIC.

I don't know much about the lute but I love and know a lot of music. I'm a big fan of guitar and I can tell that this lute is a beautiful instrument with a lovely sound. And the reason I want to comment is because I appreciate your passion. The love is pouring out of you as you play.

The resonance is indeed astounding, at first in your intro I thought you added reverb only when were playing but then you talk over the vibrating strings and I was amazed !

Iv been looking at the tenpura instrument. Yours look alike into that tradition...My beloved son was into music and guitar. The tenpura thought will be nice for me to bring to his cemetery on special occasion. Simple and harmony beautiful...
