"it's not how I was raised" ..usually means, the person does something that matches their personality type, yet think it comes from how he was raised. People too often think things come from nurture, while the're often nature.
Every self-respecting ISTP is self-made, self-tested, self-proven and every breaking point had is self-understood. ISTPs don't fight the truth, they bear it. Untrue accusations are another thing entirely and made publicly with the intention of insulting the source of self-respect, they become fighting words. Plain and simple. Discovering the breaking points of person that said it, becomes ISTP project #1.
@@mjfanta1915 Yeah I remember you from the Fb group. CPSB was it? to be fair I'm an audio ESTP and I've been in like 0 fights lol Sometimes environment is the biggest factor at play Or maybe guy in the vid is a #1 on top of the rest
When i was in first grade my mom went to my class teacher and suggested a "fighting with rules" activity for the children. It was a little bit like fighting sports/wrestling minus punching. Essentially wrestling on a mat with the gym or class teacher supervising it. The idea behind that was exactly what you refer to in this video: people (often young boys) have a lot of energy, tension and sometimes even negativity and to provide a safe, accepted space to let this out and to "shake hands" afterwards was in her eyes the perfect solution. This "fighting with rules" was extremely popular through all classes in the school and even though this was like 20 years ago is still going on i think :D. My mom is a music teacher (and i think an INFJ)
Ive watched plenty congress testimonies and hearings. Mutual combat seems more effective than whatever circus they have now. Atleast when two people start swinging you can infer that they stand by what they say atleast a little.
The savage beating of Charles Sumner. He gave a derogatory speech against slave lovers and the southern pork white and bbq'ed bellies of America....Of course Sumner never recovered from Brook's cane. OMG! From the upper house!
And we should. A whole lot better than long term resentment and passive aggression. You're going to take that aggression one day and let it out at a time when it can cause way more damage than if you address your issues directly. I some made friends in school after we just fought it out because we gained mutual respect. The world isn't tender, diplomacy isn't always the best solution.
If you fight it out in a civilized way, it's all good. I mean, one challenged, the other accepted, and they'll shake hands after, so no problem. This is not to encourage bullying the defenceless or those who aren't interested in a fight, but some do need it. We can, of course, eschange it for some sports game, but face it, many sports games involve beating each other.
@@SpookyGhost11Tender diplomacy isn't the solution to us because we refuse to level up from our animal level. Dave's logic of "has been this way" for thousands of years is so flawed. There were many things that were in the world for thousands of years but we got rid of them cuz they no longer serve and we are smarter, that's exactly why violence is being frowned upon more and more, cuz humanity is moving away from this animalistic behavior. Back in the day humans had more wars and violence then we have today and noone was better off, because it wasn't releasing energy in a healthy manner, it was just giving into it and letting it grow more and more that way.
I imagine a fist fight in the middle of congress would be just like everything else congress does. A scripted WWE match. Please provide evidence that the Earth is 100,000+ years old.
Avoiding fights isn't moving forward, it is just avoidance. This was meditated by Sean, who also accepted the "duel" when he had the chance to turn it down. I see no issue with Sean's behavior, at worst we'd have a dead senator needing replacement but that's how it goes. It's nature, and nature knows better than Man.
Everyone gets triggered into Fight energy. Thats what boxing and american football is for. Set up some tag football outside on the lawn for the halftime break. If you dont get out aggression using civil methods then it eventually leads to war.
Never overestimate an ISTP. Just because you see "they're the best type" everywhere doesn't mean shit. They're probably not as great as society makes them out to be.
