Hello, I just wanted to thank you for putting out this 4.0 version of material for the ISTQB Foundation certification. It has been a big help getting to review and listen to things here to help me memorize and review all the many little facts and details needed to maximize your chances at getting a passing grade. I just did my cert test and got a 31/40, once again thanks a lot!

Hello, did you get questions like IEEE standards for what or any ISO or IEC standard questions for what? ." I just want to know do I need to byheart this standard".

@@sahiram4190 Hi there! No the questions where 90% stuff that was in the syllabus text, you will occasionally get questions that test how well you understand or can apply certain techniques like the 3 point estimation method, Ratio technique, 3- and 2-point boundary value testing or equivalence partitioning or even state transition diagrams that can get a little creative. The sample tests available on the same page where you can download the syllabus has some good examples of what I mean in some of their questions and I'd say you could potentially benefit in finding some info, tutorials or more examples outside of the syllabus to help you practice those kinds of questions. But you should not need to go outside of the syllabus for text and concepts that you need to memorize. The things in the ISO or IEC standards referred to are just there to show where you can find more information on particular things if you are inclined to, but probably best to save those for after you are done with the certification.
