People will not remember your décor, but food and entertainment/fun will be what people remember. We put a bunch of money into the photographer as well, and have gorgeous photos to remember the day. Our venue wasn't particularly attractive but people still tell us what a fun wedding we had (13 years later).
I agree. Don't ever try and save on a photographer and videographer. Get the best, because if they're not the best, it will show in the photos and video. People also remember the food. I know people who were wedding guests 20 years ago who will say "remember how big those shrimp were? Do you remember the midnight buffet?"
As a young adult in a wheelchair, I plan to zip line down the aisle at my wedding. I want my dress to be flowing behind me as I zoom down and my husband to catch me at the alter!
I just got married in July! We had an outdoor wedding and the rain stopped 5 minutes before the ceremony. It was a magical day 💜 but definitely a stressful lead up. I hope you enjoy yours!
My mom did my hair and makeup, my dress was $300 off the David's bridal discount rack, and got married for free in the rose garden at Pointe Defiance in WA. It was beautiful and I loved it!
I've definitely shared your videos (the ones that are age-appropriate) with the youth from our Yo! Disabled and Proud group. Every Friday we have Be About It meetings (Don't just talk about it! Be About It!), and the first 20 minutes has evolved into "What's the latest Squirmy & Grubs video?" discussion.
I would DEFINITELY do pictures with Chloe . Our dog has lots of anxiety so we did pictures with her right off the bat and in a private session not near people

We eloped when we were 17 and 18, got married by a justice officer the peace with a juvenile delinquent and his mother as witnesses. We remember that day 50 years ago just as fondly as if we’d had a big wedding.

It's a strong attraction and a sense of personal connection that drives her to forget everything and go with her.
If I can suggest one thing if no one else has already. Get a bunch of disposable cameras and put them around for people to take random pictures for you to add to your memories. Also you can get someone to get people to record personal messages to you two and any suggestion on marriage trust me they can be awesome for a good laugh. However make sure you know how many cameras you put out and you collect them at the end of the night. Blessings! Sherry
I did the camera thing when i married my late husband. They are some of the best and some of the worst photos of the day. Top of advice, cameras with auto flash, very few people used flash and it made the photos dark and grainy

Sorry. Remember there are people who are looking for friends too. The best tip I’ve heard about talking to others is to ask questions about them. I heard the suggestion that the next time you are in a social situation to make it a goal to not talk about yourself at all and see how it goes.

You "fit" together like El Daunte spaghetti and a killer marinara sauce. Like Vanille ice cream and designer hot fudge. Like tee shirts and blue jeans. You are perfect just the two you are.
This sounds wonderful. In keeping with "our style" we also opted to not have videographer but we did decide what would be fun (and 💯 was) is buy a go-pro with backup batteries. We had hats, masks and tiaras all with strong Velcro to pass around to affix the go-pro to. Best wedding choice for us. 💚 Congratulations.

Invite people to record videos on their phone and then email you all the video clips. A friend did this recently for her covid wedding. And the video they were able to make from all the random clips and from what they recorded as well was adorable and so fun. It felt like we were actually at the wedding. They created an email account just for this and made cute cards for each place setting saying to record all they want and send it to the email address.

I feel for you guys. I married my husband on 8/22/20 legally because we had to move our wedding to this year on July 30th. We just had our wedding day and it turned out amazing but was so stressful to plan (twice)! We did a ceremony but modified it since we were already legally married. Best of luck guys! Xx 💕

the subtitles always come a few moments (idk how long?) later, they always comment that subtitles should be up soon. So they are not on when it uploads, but if you come back a day or a few days later they always have subtitles (you have to turn them on on youtube)

If a video is more than about 5 minutes long I rarely watch the whole thing, but I love Shane and Hannah's videos so I almost always watch the whole thing, including this video!

Hannah, you don't need a make-up artist. Your makeup you do yourself is always impeccable. Someone you've never met before could think shiny blue eye shadow and red lips would be a good look for you! As you would say: "Nope". And I'm with Shane on mashed potatoes being the best dessert ever. 😋

Thanks Hannah for normalizing clothes changing fit over time. This happens to lots of us but it feels like no one talks about it, or if they do, it's comes off like a shameful secret. This is a normal part of life and I'm so glad to hear that you found a dress that feels good on your body!!

One regret we had was not hiring a wedding planner so glad you both decided to go with one especially last minute. Planning is extremely stressful, but our wedding was so absolutely amazing it was worth it. Everyone still talks about our food and music. Also we totally had a fall themed wedding but not anything crazy. Fall colors and mini pumpkins were our place cards for tables. White pumpkins was chicken, orange was beef, and spray painted vegetarian ones silver. I wish you both the best of luck with the rest of your planning and enjoy every moment of the day. It flies by in the blink of an eye! I look forward to the follow up video.

18:11 - Actually, no. "Off the rack" means some item of clothing you purchase and wear "as is," with no alteration. You could literally take it directly off the rack, put it on, and wear it for the event. A "sample," "demo," "floor model," or "store use" item (different terms in different places and for different types of things) is one which has been used in the store, and is later sold at a discounted price. (My years in retail management FINALLY come in handy.)

I’m in a very similar situation.. had an intimate ceremony a few months ago & literally JUST had our wedding reception “love party” with 100 loved ones last weekend. We wrote on the invite “we kindly ask that all adults who attend are vaccinated”. We had an outdoor event, but wanted to be extra cautious with the vaccines so we thought we were good. 2 days ago, we got a call from our vaccinated friend who attended the party informing us that he just tested positive for Covid. We’re now in the process of informing all our guests of their potential exposure & waiting for test results. We thought we were doing the right thing by having an outdoor event with vaccinated guests, but are quickly realizing that this virus is something that needs to be taken very seriously. My point of this story is that I highly recommend masks & good ventilation as I now personally know 3 people who tested positive for Covid despite having a vaccine. Just sharing my experience hoping you may take extra precautions. P.S. I re-wore my wedding dress too & I’m so glad I did! Good choice!
