Ok I didn't expect this to reach so many people. I just wanna say I love the tv mode too, it's the only thing that made ZZZ....well, ZZZ. I hope they don't go through with this too, but it will be up to hoyo in the end.
I hope they keep it. I had expressed during the survey that I love the mode and they should keep the tv mode while also moving forward with the interactive map. Just split them up with different missions.
It does break up the formula, adding more variety, and less staleness, which is perfect for a Persona type game. Because for Persona for example when you do a lot of the turned based combat all in one go it gets repetitive and boring quicker than you'd imagine, because of this I personally end up preferring the social aspect of the game over the dungeon crawling turned based gameplay. Maybe because character growth, development, and story development occurs in those social days and it never gets boring, if anything it gets more interesting and fun as you progress, but the story/social aspect isn't enough for Persona. The difference is that this game is an Action game, so maybe people don't get bored as fast from it as they do with a turned based game, who knows.
Removing TV mode seems like such a waste of the dev time that went into implementing the feature in the first place, but if that many people hate it what can they do
I heard people have been b**ching about it since the first CBT but they still kept till release day tho. So I doubt they'll remove it. We'll see more stages with interaction implemented and probably less TV time.
It's game development, wasting A LOT of time on developing something just so it would be removed later for a BETTER game is expected. As well as developing and designing anything. Something just sounds good on the paper but not in the real product. I'm sure they removed a lot more you don't see behind the scene and you would love some of them.
@@arthitsv349the problem is this DOES work. Since battles aren't lengthened artificially, they end pretty quickly which is the actual problem to deal with. If the times you battled were more dynamic and longer, TV mode would absoluty be fine.
So odd that so many people dislike the TV maps, I actually think they're an amazing stylistic choice. I hope more people come arouns to the idea of keeping the TV maps, it would be better to find a way to upgrade the TV maps to be more interactive instead of replacing a unique system.
It's the length of them and the being locked in place while npcs drone on. If they were shorter or the text was real time people wouldn't have as much of an issue
I think they're okay, but I got bored of them really quickly because they're unoptimized for prolonged use. Sitting around clicking on where I want to go, speeding up, not noticing any difference, playing HSR while I wait for my bangboo to move, thinking for a half second on a puzzle, then clicking through it. Not very interesting at all. I'd rather more content be inhabiting characters and doing stuff. For example, Gold City, one of the most involved TV missions, was really fun in concept. Explore a huge map and try to make money solving puzzles and navigating. It got boring super quickly because of how bad it feels to move in TV. The Maze area is a terrible culprit, where you're waiting for bangboo to move like 30 spaces to unlock the next gate. You find out it's ideal to leave certain tiles behind for later, then you end up waiting like minutes on end for bangboo to move move move to the portal then move move move to the destination, then all the way back, then the same for the next one.
They never explicitly said they will remove it and I highly doubt it. The TV section what makes the game unique and not just another anime arena battle.
It sure beats running through generic empty city scapes, I like that it streamlines what would be large empty corridors and focuses on the fights. People are mostly butthurt they can't use their characters outside of combat.
@@zacziggarotExactly. As someone who hates exploration, tv mode is a godsend as a style for story progression. Makes things short, quick, and straightforward. Honestly, the only QoL i would really like them to add for tv mode is to have the option to skip special tv events animations, just so you can blitz through the whole thing and move on to the next fight even quicker.
@@Ah-wz6nn the big one that I've found annoying is the 777 room. Even turning up the speed it still saps two minutes of my life 😑 idk if that shows up anywhere other than the first hollow zero zone though
I hope the Hollow Zones adopt the new system and the main story and commissions stay the same. The primary appeal of the Hollow investigation missions under Ray is running around the Hollow.
@@ligmasphere901gacha players when they need to use their brains for problem solving and not just mindlessly fight every mob they see just to level up and fight stronger mobs:
That's a shame. I really like the TV minigame moments. It works really well for Zenless and it helps me relax for the next fight. EDIT: Fine. It's not a minigame, but if the fights were longer, I'd still love to keep it.
as if i need to rest from the combat when it literally takes 1-2 minutes tops while TVs take up to 15. If anything we need rest from Puzzles and TVs and enjoy more meaningful combat.
@@MuddyAxolotl Fr tho 💀 many gacha players just sit on their ass expecting in game rewards to be served on a silver platter but then start throwing a tantrum when they don't, as if said rewards are in the game already, they just actually have to start playing.
doesnt sound like they plan on removing the tv thing, is a nice puzzle vibe and has so many minigames within it, i imagine it being more like a mix, making some areas more open and able to explore while also keeping some parts of tv gameplay with puzzles, trashing out the mode completely would be a bad idea and choice for them, so i guess might be something like that, mix with rally modes
the puzzle stuff is one of the biggest unique things about HSR and you can absolutely tell a lot of what they added in HSR was prototypes for stuff they wanted to do in ZZZ they're not gonna throw away all that r&d
They better not remove it or i might actually stop playing lol. I can play genshin if i just want to fight people all the time. The puzzle aspect is really entertaining and unique. I honestly look forward to those missions. I get bored of always having to fight. Especially since if your grinding at HIA you have to fight everytime you want materials and that gets boring fast
I like the mode. Beats fetch quests or just running around hitting dialogue options. The only people that hate these things are the whales that can't speed run through them with money. I view the TV mode as like the comically oversized 80s 'hackerman' room with the Proxy viewing the progress of the party through the old TVs, lol.
im not whale but still hated the tv gameplay, im fine if they make another mode within tv but exploring using tv is tedious and stupid this game was advertised as fast paced combat not dungeon crawler and all the stage look the same there no new and unique feel to it, u jump to this tv “ohh look another same generic stage like previous mission” u maybe like it but sadly that just minority
@@kaycex1too bad that, according to the video, the new tv mode is going to be even MORE tedious since you have to run around the map with your characters. What I like about the current tv mode is that it keeps the exploration short, so gameplay is reduced to either just reading or fighting.
I don't think the TV will go away, cuz it's part of the story. The TV mode is the point of view of the MC (Proxy) on their HDD Screen Computer, since they can't fight. I think the point they want to convey with the TV mode is to give us like Hacker coding on the computer vibes, but in an interesting way. I also think the TV is a bit tedious to do, so it'll probly better if they just keep it in the Storymode.
Story mode and hollow zero. Only time I disliked TVs was early hollow zero when there were only Two short stages and they told me to grind for the weekly rewards. It's so much better after unlocking more stages. Hoping the final stage is a rouge like that's procedurally generated
I personally like the explore missions. Especally with how creative they get with it. Plus it feels like a much needed break from the fights. If they make the explore function just for the main story i feel like that would be boring
but it makes the game less combat focused.. which is what most players actually want.. right now zzz is literally 40% yapping, 40% TVs, 20% combat... whats the purpose of collecting characters at this point.. the visuals alone already make it unique... the npcs are full of life... its the most unique hoyo game so far.. so lets forget about the got damn tvs

Fuck man the thing that made me love the game is the TV mode. I might drop the game if they stop doing that. Also people who hate tv mode are mostly people that are not playing the game that much anyway, most of them are complainjng from the beginner levels, and complains it was "too easy" yeah no shit Edit : i use the term "mostly" from a regular people stand point, not statistical. I do not have access to data of all the comments of people in the world that talk about this topics. I believe some of you could disagree with them, it's just that in my experience of exploring the internet about this topic in particular it was rarely the case.
nah, I hate TV mode and I'm hardcore. I want to see the characters I'm playing and be able to watch them move. If I'm going to spend a cent I want to see my characters as much as possible. The animations are so fucking good I want to eat that shit for breakfest daily, you shouldn't skip out on that.
I play it every day and I hate the TV mode. In the story I found myself closing the app when it comes to the TVs because I dont want to deal with that boring stuff. Its not even a challenging puzzle either. Very sad, because the fighting is fun
I don't know where you're getting that metric from. Most of the people complaining about the TV mode play this game wayyy too much because it's only an issue if you're binging the content. If you're not binging, you do a few comissions and your dailies/energy spending, which means your TV to combat content will be way more balanced. If you're speedrunning the story to get lvl 30, you complete every commission one after another, which means multiple straight hours of basically just TVs and dialogue. And people got tired.
Hate to be "that" guy but you know that the TV system in ZZZ is the only thing keeping it apart from HSR and it makes the game unique and appear like a board game with all the paths revealed to you, with the tv system gone it's just like any other hoyoverse game
@version1.27 do you realize people have complaining about the TV system for 3 CBT and Hoyo still did not listen to their players and ignored their feedback
What we want is to have the TV sequence turned into fully interactive stage with the roguelike elements scattered throughout the map instead.. I hope this comment age well. Okay I might have judged it too early, but i think I'm starting to see where they're going with the TV sequences, the little minigames are actually fun
Right but that sounds like 1 game mode. Not game mode + story. I would love the game mode but the story over plays the mechanics in my opinion (and they are forced to make the story mode easy). they definitely need to make it more challenging with choses (maybe harder puzzle challenges)
@@jesonlaurent9946 The combat gameplay has more depth than any gacha game I know. You just have to read, but also lab, because characters do a lot more than even the descriptions say, and they say a lot...
Because there's too much of it. Hollow Zero missions be feeling long af and 90% is just monitor array. I like the feature, I'm just tired of it. And it's not difficult, so it gets boring easily. If it was at least some kind of challenging puzzle, then it would be entertaining. But it's just easy and still time consuming as hell. They shouldn't remove it, obviously. Just needs needs more balance to be just right.
@@JROCK50054 you said 80% in another comment lmao. Your argument is filled with fallacy. I don't know how you guys don't get bored of good ol' combat farming of Genshin and such.
I personally like the shift from combat focused to light puzzles from time to time, it's a nice change of pace but not when it over blown them into tedious mini-game that force ppl to stuck there longer than it needs to. For example there's a quest that basically have you play pokemon but partially rely on RNG which dragging the quest longer then it's needs to be, it just a simple light tone side quest. Made them into Godfinger's mini game or something... Another would be what I call a 500k maze where you need to mess around the stage and gather a total of 500k gear coins to finish the stage, too dragging. Last but not least, a detective story. This one feels like it needs an entirely new category on its own. It has its charm when you need to pay attention to the story so you can make a deduction, you're basically playing a waterdowned version of Ace Attorney but when you forced it into side quest where ppl are unlikely to spend time with it that much, it become more of a nuisance then enjoyable side track. Make them extra side content on a video shelf or something. Apart from that I don't really mind a quick mini game like laying pipe or beach head that much. Those three dragging quest is what ruined this TV setting for me.
while I agree, the 500k has a nice puzzle touch where you should strategize when to use the double money, and the magic cat. I got over 1 mil with it, and it feels satisfying. though the detective is kinda underwhelming, should've make it more engaging or use more brain, but people hate it with the current condition so I guess not. If the tv is more puzzle with dodging or getting chased by ethereals, then maybe it could be fun. If you get caught and fight well you'll get boosted or immune or something. Therefore people can puzzle, or, they can fight the sidequests.
Omg yes. I loved the tv modes, they are all diferent and fun, but the bangaboo pokemon fight was unfair with the rng. I kept failing the part where you made 1 dmg to the other team until you defeated first the one with that buff who was in the middle, but my bangaboos were only targeting the other two, i had to reset so many times i lost count. It was a good idea but ruined only for that specific part. And the detective one wasnt bad, but it was a little long
I hope they don't remove the displays gameplay. It's time-consuming, but it has its charm, and it's something that made ZZZ unique I thought the Rally missions were like the middle ground between exploring a map without the TV display and combat gameplay
"I don't want TVs" "Too much dialogue" "Why is the story so long?" Well, sheesh. People just want to press a button in the main menu and be sent to a series of fights with no context, aye? Now I understand why Fortnite is so popular. Folks are alergic to standing still and reading something for more than 10 seconds.
@@Chibi_Nagisa lmao. here's the funny thing, though, in fortnite it is optional, the story I mean, but people crave for it. LOL. They make lore and shit and try to piece out different things to make a story. People really just can't stop complaining either way.
I simply do not care about the story, what any of these characters are going through and what the story mode is about is none of my concern, I want to play the game for the gameplay and not for a visual novel.
@@AsterMiracle. That is a completely valid take. It's your taste in videogames and there's nothing wrong with that. Nevertheless, you must take into consideration that just because a game doesn't align with your taste it doesn't mean that the game is bad. Story heavy/visual novel games have nothing wrong about them.
I thought the TV system was horrible at first but I’m slowly starting to grow fond of it as I see the creative ways the devs use them during some quests. I honestly think that the game will get very boring if it turns into a fight/walk/fight/walk simulator. To be honest, the combat system is starting to feel repetitive a lot faster than I expected and commissions that fully realize the potential of the TV system (like the pokemon battling one) are some of the most fun part of the game
WHAT???!! NOOOO!! its literally one of the best part cause i get so tired from work and i just wanna sit down and take my time with the game! i honestly LOVE the feature!
TV stages are like the most stylish and visually distinct part of the game. All they need to do is make it playable without being obnoxious pointless dialogue ripping control away from you every time you move more than 3 spaces.
What I hate most about this the amount of people who complained about TV people are already people who quit the game by the time that change even happens.
Yeah, and even if they change it and those people are still around, most of the ones who hated the TVs also hated other parts like the fights or the story (I loved all aspects of it honestly) so even if they like the new TV mode it's not gonna make them continue with the game
It seems most here actually enjoy the tv's thats a nice change for once. i like the tv's but if they make the game more interactive with moving a bangboo around a procedural map with fight sequences i wont be upset about that. Very interesting ideas there. Im sure they will find a way to find a middleground people like. PLEASE ZZZ team talk to your community and actually put effort in.
They never said they will remove it altogether. Onestly if they keep the tvs but make fight sections longer it would be PEAK, so far it ends after 5 sec.
This! I loved this so much when there were certain interactions that were portrayed through the story like meeting a legendary Ethereal, and the train heist mission. It was all really well done and stylish.
people who want it to be open world are boring asf and don't have artistic taste. Go play genshin impact or wuwa, leave this game alone, the people complaining probably don't even like the game to begin with and won't play it
Honest they should do more with the Bangboo and maybe interact more with the TV thing rather than getting rid of it entirely. This would be a good design choice and ultimately give the proxy feeling like they are doing more than just guiding the party. Otherwise don't touch it.
They might go with a map and label special events on the map but honestly changing the gameplay up like that suddenly will be pretty unprecedented for day one players that have adjusted to the grid gameplay.
It is preferable though, they could make it so that theres a button to switch between modes, so you can see where you have to go in tv mode, then move in 3d
The tv mode gameplay is really unique because we as the protagonist guide the characters into the hollow its not like Genshin or HSR Mcs in which they are part of the adventure so it kinda sucks that they are removing the MAIN CORE FEATURE and Uniqueness of the game
I don't think it needs to be gone completely, but just reworked. Like, if the idea was suppose to be a roguelike puzzle map. They shouldn't add confusing background with lots of TVs in it, it's giving headache
The TV dungeon crawler mode is gone?, so what unique about this game after it gone?. gameplay wise, like genshin and their mega world, or HSR turn base style
Aww man, I really loved the TV mode. I had a ton of fun figuring out the puzzles, especially the ones where you have to avoid the ethereals and the ones where you have to create a track and figure out how to save people as well as how to get to the end. They’re really not that difficult either, I struggled more with the bloody Time Ticker puzzles in HSR then I did with anything in ZZZ.
I like the tv mode specifically because you don’t need to run around during down time like in simulated universe and illusive realm. It adds to the ZZZ flavor too
Awww,, honestly I find that really fun, and as many say, it helps keep it unique I suppose full fledged environments could be good too,, kind of like those generated rooms in Enter the Gungeon
I don't think fully fledged environments would be more fun, games shouldn't be forced to cater to people who are intolerant to other kinds of gameplay. And these creatures should be ashamed of what they did
@@bloody4558 yeah no, I’m in complete agreement,, like they say, a game made for everyone is a game for no one,, I’m trying to be positive about it there but I can’t really see it working in Mihoyo’s style, I’d still prefer the tv system even if it turns out ok, really
@@stellathefoxgirl3648yeah, that reminds me of those people saying from software should add easy mode in their games, I mostly heard about this during Sekiro's release, because they just can't comprehend the idea of a game not being made for them
TV mode is fine in small portions for me but stopping between fights to do that damn thing and in between story moments is just too infuriating, less engaging, and bothersome to really make me view it as anything other than a nuisance
Damn it, i genuinely like it, because it just strip the entire ZZZ personality, if people really dont like it, they should have just do it during the cbt/beta not after launch. I hope they make it an option instead completely opt it out, just like you can play Story mode difficulty and Challenge mode difficulty
I like the version u said since it would be a little more fun to see the hollow from the agents pov instead of just the screen, hopefully they won’t be completely removed. screens were still pretty fun and will be missed if they are completely removed
Man, I really like the TV mode though. The design aesthetic make it more unique! The only thing that make me struggles probably the speed (well, you can always accelerate but the dialogue timing will kinda off) and then where they put the dialogue on right top. It's hard for me to see the dialogue, maybe if they put it on bottom mid that will be great!
NO, I REFUSE FOR THE TV MINIGAME TO GET REMOVED. One of the reasons why I quit Genshin Impact is due to tiresome openworld travel. Sure fast travel exists but at least in a way oue brain gets engaged with the puzzles.
I do like the TV maps but only in cases like Hollow Zero since with that there's something on every TV so it doesn't feel like a chore to get through. If it's something like story mode tho, I'd be fine with it getting removed or modified to be closer to what Hollow Zero is like
I hope they preserve it in some way, even if only in godfinger as a mini game. An interesting idea could be preserving it as the mini map while still having the tile effects active but not always represented on the battlefield, so if the tile is a wall even though the way forward looks open it wouldn't be, a treadmill tile would forcefully move you in it's direction, so on so forth. After all, the hollows are supposed to be chaotic and twisted space, so they're supposed to be confusing to navigate.
the thing i hate about zzz is the proxy quests stuff. I played for the combat and they add proxy quests like eh. Like what play soccer or drink a cup of coffee. yeah thats the thing i hate though the tv board is kinda okay for me, now that they're replacing it with "3D" it transitions much more smoother for being a breaktime for combat.
@@Ralseionthedarkworldcomputer and that's why you don't understand how hypocritical the people who complain about the TV mode really are, games like Genshin has a fast transition to combat yes, but the world is so big, collecting any materials becomes a chore. Any collection that could take only a few minutes suddenly become hours of moving around, but you don't see many people complain about that. The reality is that people hate the TV mode because they are so used to open worlds being in most games they like, that they cannot accept that games may not have it.
@@bloody4558 thank god someone has a brain ! People hate change or anything that’s not normal the amount hate that ZZZ is getting is crazy I personally think the game is a fresh brand knew vibe ive been enjoying the game thinking bout making it a main game of my top 3 that I play
I hope they don't just rip it out. It's part of the game's identity. Perhaps they could make the TV mode the default when starting a new mission but when a mission is replayed, you can manually select either proxy POV hollow raider POV. Or maybe add a function that allows you to swap between POVs on the fly?
TV is very unique and well made. It brings a new feel and experience to our usual action games, If you can't figure out a simple puzzle, don't play the game.
Don't listen to a small minority, the rogue system with tv mode is amazing! It's super refreshing and very unique enjoyable! Why does every game need to be dummed down until there's nothing left?
I think that in future explore mode commissions, we would be controlling eous itself and have the agents we brought follow eous. The events can be like the pickable resonia and the gear coin events would be like the gear coin collection part of some story commissions. Ofc the puzzles will be there, lol
some of the challenges and puzzles are really fun like the ghosts or the duels, but others get boring and super tedious like some of the investigation ones, and you cant skip it or go very fast so it feels like you are stuck. if they can translate this into the 3rd person game it might make it more interesting
I love the TV Maps and hope they won't get replaced by full maps. Pressing a direction on the DPad to move a room is just so much faster than running up a f*ck ton of slopes and waiting for train cars to slowly extend their ramps so I can get to the next area (looking at you, Rally Missions!)
It’s wild to think that many people dislike the TV system.. I can see its annoyance at times with animation times or movement connected to ping, but I thought the concept as a whole was very unique and themed beautifully. It’ll be a shame if it actually leaves.
What my main gripe with TV is that you spend way more time navigating it and solving puzzle than actual 3D combat and that's a shame. Also there is no real way to explore the Hollows because you are urged to finish the combat ASAP. So I welcome any changes that shift the focus from TV to actual combat and exploration
Okay. After finishing the whole available msq (all chapters). I'd have to say the TV sections are pretty fun. The only time it was a drag is in the beginning when they introduced it and you were asked to walk forward with a slow animations and constant stops for talking and explaining every single pickup. Which were boring but i know it was done for way more of a slow people than me. In the end the bangboo fight club and golden rush were fun as hell. And the "balette (twin) tower" 😆 sections of chapter 3.
Its less likelly to be scratched off the game, i guess they will just focus more on Rally modes for now on, which is great, i love how you need to interact with the scenario there
it probably won't be gone. but upgraded, or changed. i mean the game mostly consist of tv exploration for the main story. if they change it, they need to remake most of the game itself. might as well call it another game. they probably will made few tvs stage on later stages. i mean the battle subhollow doesn't need to include tv exploration. or changing the visual, but the gameplay still the same.
when i hear fleshed out i think like instead of no more tv sections just longer and more complex battle stages instead of move to the next aria and beat up enemies there will also be puzzles inside the holo
I like the tv system, I think it’s pretty cool and it’s always interesting how they add different events in it like the dead end butcher passing by for example. But I do think this transition could also make for some good/cooler cutscenes of these occurrences happening while on the battlefield.
I’m still pretty new to ZZZ but I like the TV maps as a part of the core gameplay. I kinda doubt they’ll get rid of it completely, but maybe they’ll make it less prominent or something. More combat could be nice, but I like the “puzzles” too, even if most of them aren’t very difficult to figure out.
Wasn't expecting that, I had no idea people didn't like it, I like it myself, maybe leaving an option to explore or to tv travel is best? I can't imagine exploring vast nothing ness when you can tv travel quickly, not to mention there's some strategy in moving and puzzles. on the other hand it'll be interesting to see if it'll transition well like with pushing weights on buttons might be a single room instead, idk
bruh i love the tv system it's kinda unique and its convenient no need to fully explore the area just to see if you missed any loot also i like the little puzzles that they put in i dont see any reason why this is going away
I don't mind the system, I just hated how much it was used. I would've much preferred either a) Back and forth between combat and Proxy TV mode opening passageways, or b) Majority combat with some TV puzzles here and there.
The things that really drew me to the game were both the tv exploration system and the classic fighting game style combat in the 3d space. Some of the most fun I’ve had in the game has been with the tv system. I always like to try and explore all of it, even if I do pick up the debuffs. I especially like when the puzzles are added into it for more of a challenge, something to solve within a stage. I thought it had been really well designed and thought out. Weird to say that I prefer it to the more open map combat of rally challenges. I didn’t get as much fun out of those as I did with a good mix of both combat and tv exploration. I’m interested to see what they do with it instead in the future, but it was one of the main selling points for me. Hopefully I’ll be pleasantly surprised with the outcome of their choices, but it honestly may be a deal breaker since I didn’t enjoy rally that much at all.
I played up to level 12 so far and am at the "Demolition Train" part of the story for reference without any spoilers. The TV mode hasn't had a big impact so far but it is something a bit unique compared to others. Where Genshin or Tower of Fantasy are more world exploration and open combat, ZZZ is more of a grid puzzle solving with arena combat. It's just a different style, like fps vs rts, or turn based RPG vs open world adventure.
Aww.. I like the tv mode, I hope they make it a choice for us in-game like, do you want to battle or do you want the tv mode cuz to me it's really fun and unique
I like the tv and the puzzles it implements. Some of the puzzles are genuinely interesting. I like the rouge like elements too. I feel to improve this isn’t to completely remove tvs but to add more verity by having more levels with out a tv and use the tv sparingly. It’s kind of like the AC1-30 missions in the COD MW games, some people love them but some people hate them, but they were used once in each game and MW3 even had you switching from the plane to a guy on the ground. The tvs I feel should take a similar approach with less reliance on them and when they do appear be used in interesting ways.
It may seem slow paced, but in my opinion the tv game mode fits really well. I hope they don’t fully remove it from the gameplay, and instead try to integrate it better with the actual 3d combat
Tbh I think TV mode is what made Zenless Zone Zero so unique, it's a shame that they're going to get rid of it just because some people complained about it.
So I can see how it can be fun with the chasing levels and explosions(Trying to avoid a monster chasing you/or an explosion coming for you in real time while the map shows the danger) But I'm kinda curious how they'll implement it in the game. And although I wasn't a huge fan of the tvs I hope they don't just simply remove it and plan to not replace it with a updated mechanic of it.
The tv system is fine but i can see where the devs and the playerbase is coming from. The system feels a little "slow" in that you have to wait for dialogue or events to play put before playing leading to a kind of waiting around feeling before getting to move on through the stage/puzzle. The system has interesting puzzles, but in a game about combat and fast pace, the system does feel like the polar opposite of the main gameplay, adding to a sense of clashing of styles. I think if the doalogue and events were a little less intrusive and didnt force the player to stop so much and explain the puzzle to every detail it would be better but i can understand the devs trying to shift to the rally mode as well
The TV visuals are a great way to simplify quest actions like team members leaving, NPCs being escorted, objects moving, and enemies acting. It definitely works well when it's during the main story quests, but I do understand how it becomes tedious during side quests when the story elements are muted.
There were some memorable moments with TV mode like either Hollow Zero, those exploration Commission, or even story mode to rescue belle or play with Soldier 11
If theres anything ive learned about playing Hoyoverse games, a lot of the fanbase loves to complain A LOT. I hope they dont take it away, because it truly sets it apart from other franchises.
IMO, a good option would be to retain tv mode on exploration or any other content that fits it. Removing tv mode would make all levels become rally levels and to me their kinda bland. In any case, i am pretty sure tv mode won't be removed especially that hollow makes use of it.
I honestly rather enjoy the tv puzzles really so removing that will be a lil sad. But if we get somethin neat in return like your suggestion then i can be okay with it leaving
ive grown into the tv system and honestly its pretty fun, especially its aesthetic. it fits the theme of a proxy traversing through a hollow virtually, it even already has fleshed out animations. the puzzle aspect of the game keeps things fresh without making the combat aspect repetitive. I don't think it should be removed, and i imagine implementing an interactive open map system would be very taxing as well. but if they manage to do so then even better, just keep the tv aesthetic its a core appeal in ZZZ.
Damn, the tv system is so relaxing after a day of work. Not much exploration, less stress, more time to play. But don't get me wrong, I like both worlds
I like the TV mode, but I just wanted more combat since it was based around it. I expected to find combat in maps like I would in Genshin/HSR but I don't have as many opportunities to do the infinitely better combat mode in my combat game. In comparison terms, I'd compare its ideal version to Pokemon where there isn't a lot of combat in the main story, but you can go into the grass to do some fighting. (Unless that IS how ZZZ is ending up and I haven't got there yet) Plus combat ends in 5- minutes even with hard mode. (I am still Level 20 though I've played almost daily and will be continuing the part of the story AFTER the level lock)
