Cody ko is lame now. He's sold out and become corporate. The only time I actually enjoyed his videos was like four years ago. When he'd have Noel over and watch videos in a janky room. Now he takes betterhelp sponsorships. And all his content seems SOULLESS. I also feel his ego is a tad inflated.
now that you reming me of that thing, i think it might have truth to it. (nowdays everybody comes out with such allegations with grooming after the imallexx thing happened and its so sus.) but literally accepting promotion from that SCAM? red flag
I like Cody Ko's videos, but I am not a huge fan. At first, I was in denial. It's HARD to believe that Cody, when he was 25, would do it with a 17 year old girl. Tana is problematic, but what happened to her was unacceptable.
people keep saying “what if she’s lying!” if she was, Cody would have made a statement clearing his name. instead, he’s staying silent until it goes away. she’s not lying.
@@ibot2157 No it isn't. That ended with Johnny Depp. Cody could absolutely deny it if it was untrue. He isn't denying it. This is the same as Lebron refusing to sue people for saying he's on steroids. If it weren't true, he could just deny it and sue them for defamation. But it is true, and he knows he can't prove that it's false, so he stays silent and ignores it even when other athletes are directly calling him out for it. It's the same situation with Cody. His silence speaks volumes, and not in a good way.
@@thareelhelloagain Literally the only reason why Johnny Depp won is because he's super big. Cody Ko is not as big as Johnny Depp. So, while i agree with the sentiment of needing to say something, he's literally not going to be believed by anyone.
Considering Gabbie Hannah told this story like 6 years ago, there is absolutely no way he could defend himself from these allegations. This is something people in their sphere have obviously known about for a long time
Her behavior resonates with me. When I was 16 I was groomed by a man a decade older than me but at the time I didn’t really feel how bad the situation was. It wasn’t until I hit my 20s that I really understood how bad things were because when I was 26 I wouldn’t even look at a 22 year old the way this 26 year old looked at 16 year old me
The problem is that someone in your position had either abuse before that, that opened you at 16 to it. Or you had no one watching out for you. Itb doesn't come out of nowhere and it's not your fault, either way. Adults fail us either as kids or teens, and the damage done affects us in later years. I remember stumbling on an old account of Tana's, before she started youtube, on Twitter, of her with a group of boys in the shower, barely covered up. Twitter, being supportive of CP at that time, answered my report with no action. She was about 15 or 16. This and the old slur videos show she had no adults looking out for her for a long time.
@@nachgeben in my case I had no one watching out for me. My mom literally tried to set me up with my brother’s 20 year old football coach around the same time I was groomed by the guy in my original comment
@@nachgeben sadly, this is the truth. Maybe not always, but most of the time it really is due to prior abuse, trauma, or neglect. This is why I hate when people shame those who have had a promiscuous phase because I don't think most people realize that hypersexuality is often a result of CSA or other kinds of trauma. It's actually sickening how common this abuse is amongst girls AND boys.
@@brose-bg3ks the loudest ones to croak tend to be the easiest to fall. It’s just the way it’s been. I guarantee you, you have some nasty shit on your computer
I appreciate her honesty about how she feels about it, while saying some girls might be traumatized, but that doesn't diminish the fact she was taken advantage of. It doesn't say anything about her character cuz she thought that was normal and okay since she was still a teen and surrounded by those people. But it does say a lot about Cody's character
you ever considered she's just lying? taking people at their word with not a shred of evidence (podcasts/appearances do not count) is pretty dumb and dangerous. my guess is he will hit her with a defamation lawsuit.
@eddienicx nah he can't or won't do anything because of he reacts it just will make it worse. Also it hasn't ruined anything for him. No one seems to care. You can only sue if it's hurt your earnings. It hasn't. I don't think she's lying. It's not like she's being like Katybugs or anything.
@@eddienicx ahahahhahahaha x to doubt. The fact that he has NOT responded speaks volumes about if he's guilty or not. Let's be realistic here, if someone accuses you of something and you know you're not guilty, you do your best to defend yourself, not go radio silent :))))
@@Alae_ffxiv not in this generation. have you watched how that has worked out for anyone in this age? no matter what, she has stained his reputation when if she was truly a victim the way she says and wanted to make a difference for them the way she says, she'd have him prosecuted. but going on a press run makes me think she knows exactly what she is doing: maintaining relevance.
I don’t see Cody making any type of statement, I know he doesn’t plan on making online content forever. Doesn’t want his kid online for a long as possible too
Everyone’s gonna move on 😕 it’s what happened 2 years ago. There are comments discussing this exact same situation on his own channel, the video of him and Tana, from TWO YEARS back…
I like cody and I truly dgaf if he slept with tana when she was 17 and he was 25. I can't even pretend to care. She's waited til he got married and had a baby to blow up his life, I feel bad for kelsey who I genuinely like.
The sad thing is genuinely liked Cody Ko as a content creator and as a person, and this completely shatters my image and perception of him if all this is true.
Even if you don’t believe it, shouldn’t he say something if it isn’t true? I mean he’s accused of doing it with a child you’d think he’s at least say “no I didnt”
@GraceHope-77 why the hell would he? 😂 You guys are so chronically online that it is hilarious. If you are accused of committing a crime, wrongdoing, whatever KEEP YOUR FUCKING MOUTH SHUT. That is rule #1,2,3,4, and 5. I'm not d riding Cody, but that is just what you do if you want to defend yourself.
If you look further into Colby Leachman and find out this is who Cody had as one of his groomsmen, that might have you second guessing this take. Dudes a freaking monster.
I haven't seen the entire podcast, or even that full segment, but it kinda seemed to me like the other girl was trying to talk Tana into feeling like a victim. If anyone has seen it with full context, I'm curious to know if that's accurate, but not curious enough to search it out. So, if anyone has seen it and can let me know, I would greatly appreciate it.
She wasn’t doing that as much as just letting her (and I think more importantly viewers) know that just because you’ve experienced more traumatic things, doesn’t mean this situation itself is ok. It’s still totally unacceptable and in this case, if true, illegal. Strongly encourage checking out the CodyKoUnfiltered subreddit if you’re interested in learning more about it because this video didn’t go into the same depth that those posts have, and Cody is pretty heavily filtering his RU-vid comments and having fluff articles published to bury any news articles talking about it on google
Assuming Cody was 25 when this took place, this would've happened in 2016. She said they hooked up at Playlist Live. Playlist Live 2016 took place in September 2016. Tana's birthday is in June. Tana would've been 18 for almost 3 months by the time Playlist Live took place.
That's what I'm saying. This girl got famous for telling grandiose lies for attention. Who is to say she's actually telling the truth now?! If this happened this is so wrong. But we can't just outright blindly believe a girl who's whole schtick is telling lies. Also Im not a Cody ko fan, even before this, dude is just not funny
I know there isn’t really any evidence but I think that if he didn’t actually do it, he’d say something. With Tana’s podcast, H3H3, and a bunch of commentary/ drama channels talking about this, there’s literally millions of people that know about this story. He could at least do a Reddit post or tweet saying “it didn’t happen”
Tana W I used to really dislike tana. But these certain things make me like her more. I can kinda relate to her as I've also had a shitty life full of trauma. So it's hard to actually understand how bad a situation actually is. Due to experiencing so much worse sometimes a thing will FEEL less traumatic when it kinda is a big deal thing to most people.
Tbh Cody Ko stopped being funny after he stopped featuring Noel and having That’s Cringe on the channel. Not saying that means anything but I’m shocked people are defending him cause “he’s funny” when he hasn’t been funny for years
This is a sign of her being so beyond traumatized that she has compartmentalized all of her traumas by what’s worse than what rather than it’s all wrong and I survived it. Which she may be there. But I can tell when I woman has gone through something SO CRAZY that this is her deflecting saying basically she just doesn’t wanna start this shit or else she already would’ve started it. She didn’t wanna start the “drama” of all of this. And why’s that? Because women are still victim blamed and told they’re clout chasing or just a jilted, jealous ex. 🙄😒
Seriously. Just look at these comments on this video. Not an ounce of research done and so many ready to say they just know they can’t trust her without looking up a damn thing. It’s abhorrent.
Men are victim blamed too. Victims in general are victim blamed. No need to make it a sex thing, it happens to basically all victims. Look at Johnny Depp.
I doubt Cody ko is “done”. His audience doesn’t care. Also when are you guys going to get mad the age of consent is 16 in 31 US states? That means right now tons of high schoolers are losing their virginity to old men! Your silence has been noted.
the age of consent is 16 for 16 year olds to get with other 16 year olds. you're fucking weird and creepy if you're trying to get with teenagers as a fully grown adult. stop what-abouting.
My Good God! I feel sorry for lads between 18 to 25.. men and women out here branding them all pedos or any sexual encounters is them taking advantage of an ADULT!
I can’t stand when RU-vidrs with smaller channels have to specify “oh this million subscriber RU-vidr whatever whatever.” It makes whatever you say after that sound like just saltiness and jealousness.
cody's the one who's friends with a r*pist. maybe he shouldn't be friends with people who drug and r*pe women, if he doesn't want people second guessing his morality.
Hes creeepy asffffff now for this. But she clearly needed some spotlight why is this being made a thing now and not for the last however many years dude this isn't by mistake lol.
I mean…. She didn’t bring it up out of nowhere… She was asked! This is the thing… ppl always say “why did no one say anything” then they do & its “oh she wanted something” Tana may be a lot… she’s made some choices, but she was also SUPER young & I feel she’s made a point to change… she’s ALWAYS been pretty upfront when it comes to personal shit. Tana LACKS filter.. I mean.. her response was immediate. She later even clarified she wasn’t trying to make him out to be a monster… it’s just what happened. Honestly, that’s precisely why guys like Cody get away with it… then know EXACTLY who to go for… IF it ever comes out they can play it one of 2 ways “bro… are u crazy?!?” Or “I mean… cmon bro… u saw what she was like” Guys like that know PRECISELY who to go after & they bank on ur confusion/shame about the situation to justify it. He always struck me as the type of guy that would rag on the ‘easy target’ infront of everyone w/his boys… and then when no one is around or everyone’s busy he’d come up & say “u know I’m just playin right?!? I think ur actually pretty cool” Also… was she suppose to dance around the subject? I mean… what he did was ILLEGAL..full stop. And he wasn’t a 18-19 yr old guy… he was in his 20s!
also why isn't tana getting shit for this why have we blinded our self's and all this comes out when he invited a friend that wasn't charged isn't this just to convenient of a time to bring this up its not been an issue until know didn't we shit on imallex for doing this come on man
I think it's ridiculous. I slept with older men when I was 17 and I would never turn around and expose one of them for it. I knew what I was doing. She did too. She's even said she's not a victim, and people are telling her she is. It's dumb.
you ever considered she's just lying? taking people at their word with not a shred of evidence (podcasts/appearances do not count) is pretty dumb and dangerous. my guess is he will hit her with a defamation lawsuit.
Bro no. He hasn't lost any money. He can't sue. Personally I think tanas telling the truth. As someone who has been a underaged girl the amount of adult men who didn't gaf is shocking. Like I was shocked when somebody actually said they weren't interested anymore and they felt disgusted about themselves.
@@FukaiKokoro hasn't lost any money? this has definitely affected his viewership, which is how he primarily makes money. so you're wrong there. he could sue even if he hadn't lost money, do you understand how a lawsuit works? It's not that men don't give a fuck, its that we live in an age where plenty women scream victim online but avoid every avenue of law enforcement and authority, yet proceed to cope online. No one cares what you personally think. We care what the truth is and nothing has been presented but statements and no proof.
@@FukaiKokoro i have a problem trusting her cause shes always been lying her whole career. thats why im doubting it. i dont like her, but dude at least should ADDRESS this thing its driving me insane like say something lo.
@@cigarettediet1185 I think that’s the thing. He knows the people want him to say something. if he didn’t do it, and it’s not true, it is smart him to not address it as to not give it the attention it doesn’t deserve. You feed the fire it continues to burn.
@@zaharakhan1370 crazy the person immediately jumping on the hate train i calling someone else a sheep. Their first in-person interaction was in may of 2016. She turned 18 in june 2016. And lets be honest, you wouldn't have cared if she was 18 (which she might've been) so idk what you're talking about with morality
this whole pearl clutching thing is dumb tana agreed to do so so far she hasn't came out and said her forced her so what's the big deal your feelings don't matter over facts just more drama farming and no its not a crime what he did
