I was just listening to Queen and Freddie Mercury today. My favorite song by Freddie when he was solo is In My Defence. I always enjoyed Queen growing up in the 80s and 90s but I really started to love them the last 10 years or so. I wish I could’ve met Freddie. I would be beyond ecstatic to meet Brian, Roger or John.

This is one of the greatest songs they ever made. I listen to it and I'm 46 now,my oldest daughter is turning 17 and I'm looking back on life remembering. It all goes by so fast. It's precious and sad. It makes me sad for Freddie and for how fast life goes by.

This beautiful song has 3 meanings to it 1. Roger talking about his family and how he felt about life 2. Freddie talking about the journey he and the band have been on,thanking the fans, signing off with a goodbye and saying " I still love you." Which brings you a smile and tears at the same time 3. (To me) where queen started and are at now 50+ years later. It's a beautiful song one of my favorites really. Queen is my favorite band of all time with how 4 different musicians came together writing and creating lovely music. Combining different styles into one of there many songs such as bohemian rhapsody and innuendo. This November I will finally be able to see Adam Brian and Roger perform in LA. I'm ready to sing along, laugh and cry.

I remember seeing this video for the first time years ago and thinking the exact same thing. Like so many others, I could feel the real emotion Freddie was experiencing and sooooo much admired him for sharing his feelings with all of us to forever see. Regardless,,, he will forever be GREAT to me.

The only musician/actor I've cried over the loss of. Such a talented writer and performer..such a tragedy not just to Queen but to Freddies family, fans and all those who valued him as a person and artist. Sadly missed..the performer, the artist, the man but we will always have the music.
