As a survival main, it’s nice to see a class like unholy get some love in the S tier and frost in the A tier. But it’s so painful playing (one of) the worst specs in the game time and time again. I agree with sentinel being not a good fit at all for survival. They could have given us something like “shadow hunter” or even something that does bombs and turrets. But nope, survival is probably the most hated or unloved by blizz and it’s so unclear as to why.
Agreed 100% last week I put my survival hunter in garbage and started leveling havoc it's miles ahead of surv and it's very refreshing playing dh it's my first time ever leveling one
Hunter in general needs a rework. They have been going in the right direction with Beast Master. Marksmen needs to be the giga dps spec if you go without a pet. Survival needs to be gutted and rebuilt from the ground up.
Agree esp. mm is long overdue. They have left Mm WAY too low since dragon flight pre patch. They don't account for the standing still required to do even remotely decent dps. Hence why bm has been so good. They can cast full rotation moving. So on paper they say oooo MM can do good damage....yet in every real example they are left in the dust. (Dead last dps r now?) Considering legit everything this entire xpack has required heavy movement.
Survival was literally the funniest hunter spec, and its even more so with the new reworks. Just because you dont like it doesnt mean it needs to be gutted
Honestly hunters get enough love from Blizzard... they are by far the easiest class in the game and pump big damage EVERY season... granted they fall off on high keys due to survivability but im in the strong opinion that the easier classes should do less and harder to play do more.. why reward people picking the easy option? :)
@@leftyzappaMm was also sick in legion. It's been wack ever since. Especially BFA pre patch to end. Shadow was ok. But dragon pre patch to end also left in terrible shape.
@@leftyzappa That wasn't the argument at the time... it was the fact that they got rid of a phys ranged option for a melee. It would've been better to add a fourth spec or add a new class to support Survival's gameplay across spec choices. Though, tbf, it was okay, but the gameplay and rotation is janky.
Yea, I enjoyed playing enhancement for a long time but just couldn't deal with all the pvp shortcomings in Dragonflight. My main issue is totems. Overall, I enjoy totems. But Blizzard went too far and made the pvp ones mandatory which limits your pvp talent options. I also think totems should not count as a global cooldown.
Losing shadow dance has little impact on Outlaw because you gain a second charge of Vanish, and Vanish CD is reduced by Restless blades. As long as your in combat and Restless Blades is rolling you subterfuge uptime remains pretty much the same as it would have with Shadow Dance. Outlaw really doesn't change at all from a playstyle standpoint. The meta will likely shift away from Keep it Rolling to Opportunity because of 4pc being lost, but that's arguably a good thing because Opportunity is more fun and more forgiving to play. The main issue Outlaw will run into unless something changes is that the range reduction from losing acrobatic strikes will significantly impact the performance of Blade Flurry, so hopefully (Blizzard) is smart enough to add a range increase back into Blade Flurry, which was how it worked before acrobatic strikes was a thing.
I've been playing a lot of WIndwalker on the beta, and it truly feels disgusting how powerful you feel now. There's not a single button that feels unrewarding to press, and every cooldown you have is powerful as hell
i couldnt play the beta much because of constant dcs and lags. Is Windwalker and Mistweaver fun? I really want to play a class that has both a fun damage and heal spec but besides monk i cant seem to find one. Shaman is okay but just nothing special
I am and I'm not lol. As a WW main who's stuck it through the rough times now with this rework and vast improvement I'm bracing myself for WW monk population to explode and I look like just another bandwagon jumper LOL.
Can't wait for a ranged spec tier list, gotta see just how low the Hunter gets... After maining a hunter since MoP, maybe it's really time for a reroll...
Overall I really love the dk changes and the way frost plays in the beta, been blasting through the questline with him so I totally inderstand the s and a tier on both specs (even though I would place frost s tier because of how much it has changed and just feels powerful now compared to live). Assassination felt great for me, but indeed the hero spec isn’t a big wow factor, I won’t be maining rogue even though it has always been kind of my main. Outlaw felt meh but no surprises there, I really want to go back to combat rogue sword spec,… Anyhow I totally agree on the tier list, nice one!
Hello, didn't finish the video yet but I can already say as usual it's amazing to have gameplay of the classes on same time you're talking about it. Thanks for the good work ! Now I have a small question, what race was the rogue when you presented assasination because movement looked really sick ! :D Thanks again, Rascarkapac
The nice thing about druids in general is that their stat priority of each spec all kind of line up around haste & crit, which means you can play every spec in mostly the same gear with really only needing to keep backup trinks for the most part. So the class multi spec play I feel has the most to offer because their ilvl scaling gives you the widest freedom to tank, heal, melee/stealth and range. Giving it the widest end game flexibility. Especially if you just want to focus on a single character. You are never locked into a play style. Unlike rogue where if you want to heal you have to have an alt, or shaman where if you want to tank you have to have an alt, or ret pally, if you want range you have to have an alt ect. So I'm not as mad at the feral changes as some others, because while it may not be the most fun changes or most powerful, it is still fun enough in the context of the class over all. And I would say the over all changes seem to be in line with each other for the class. As a druid the things I want is more form mogs and I wouldn't mind having better animations on some of the cat abilities. When you think about where feral sits compared to actual rogues it actually makes that mid teir rating kind of Op.
feral goes with mastery and crit moonkin haste and mastery resto mastery and versa guardian crit and versa or haste and mastery depends of the content you doing M+ or Raids dont see how the stats line up xD
@@ALC0LITE Items had both mainstats on them for quite a while now. Usually u would need to change weapons and trinkets only. But guy commenting about stat priority is extremely wrong. Druid specs almost always want different stats.
Other than legion assassination, they’ve constantly gotten the short straw. So frustrating and difficult remaining loyal to the spec; heavily considering playing something else in TWW
I gave up Rogue after playing it as my main since Vanilla and I have not looked back. It is so refreshing to play any other class that can do so much more with so much less work.
Ive always liked the play style of feral but the fact that any of the decent looking cat forms are locked behind legion content and you cant even get alot of them anymore is a real issue at this point they should just give feral druids all the skins considring they dont get the benafit of any transmog
I feel no class should have an arena ability to stand in to do more/max damage. Theres too many ground mechanics that are barely visible, and happen so often especially in high content
My biggest gripe with frost dk is the oblit window in aoe is desperately rune starved.. between using remorseless winter, reapers mark, death and decay, and using oblit you have zero runes for the following oblit unless frost strike resets runes so your window loses damage completely
Unholy DK is almost perfect, all it really needs is that the 2 talent points get trimmed down to 1 talent point and Ruptured Viscera/Pestilence/Vile Contagion need to be replaced with something better, also Raise Abomination need to be a separate CD so you can both use Army and Abom.
All this would do is dilute UHDK and come full circle to the point where people first started laying down complaints. Too many CDs and Blizz will either put too much power or far too little into them. Also, I agree with RV but not the other 2. Vile Contagion is doing absolute monsterous work right now. If you can alternate that between every Scourge Scythe proc you're having constant wound eruptions.
in behalf of monk windwalker i would like to see people putting 2 new abilitys from diablo 3 monk class! Exploding Palm *making the targets we (tigerpalm) under 50% HP mark them with exploding palm, when the target reach 5% HP they should explode in nature damage. and the other ability would had being *Seven Palm Strikes* (where the monk goes inside a small cocoon and does a (ghost blade dance) striking 5 targets for 2.5% their HP per hit, maximum hits 10 strikes. now talking about the melee ranks in M+ 1- Retri paladin 2- Demon Hunter 3- WW monk 4- Shaman 5- feral druid (between shaman and feral both super close) 6- Unholy DK 7- frost DK 8- Assassination rogue very close to Outlaw and i would put both warrior speccs with survival hunter! Warrior class is to slow, arms is way to weak in terms of viable talents, damage wise to weak and very slow to burst up, still rage starve specc, none of the hero talents makes sense, the slayer is a desgrace of hero talents and such a waste and lack of class fantasy when they give you to much class/talents for execute plus the hero talents for execute and mortal strike still hit harder than execute. Colosus is way to slow in terms of building stacks and the hero class ability is to slow to use even with 25% haste, the class/specc will ask to be feed much more haste then 30%. Now when it comes to fury we have to much rage to use while we only have 1 rage waster, to much CDs that you cant even put in macros together, the class fantasy is to weak should being a Berzerker . giving us a fantasy based in huge weapons and making warrior class to do atleast x2 the damage of every dps in the game! sense warrior class dont bring any useful utility to the team besides Raw damage. Warrior class should had a Bloodlust/Hero talent for being the only plate in the game to have it! may be it will give warriors much more love to be selected into M+ in the ghost weeks that ask for CC or dispels! make it official for warrior class to have a Lust and name it *Last Cry*
Monk and specifically WW will always be my fav class. Doesn't matter if it's top tier or trash tier. Ppl should play the class they enjoy, not the current meta.
Im a rogue main. I am so sad. I feel no difference from retail. I am very upset about this. Mage and Lock are completely different. It is so stupid that some classes are left on the sidelines ;(
Which is funny because it used to be the most played. Every other character used to be a rogue lol. Overall I would say that the class has just not aged that well. When you have so many dual wielders that are high throughput, are roll multifunctional, and more mobile- why even bring the rogue? I think they're in an identity crisis with the game right now. Rogue dropped off heavily once World PvP was nerfed/changed and combat/outlaw rogues haven't been the Kings of PVE DPS for a long time now Because there are way more classes and specs now that can do the same thing but better. Personally I think they need to change outlaw into a tank spec. That would at least allow you to build on the spec fantasy better, allow you to give rogues more variety in their roles and lessen the competition for open spots between rogues while It would bring them in closer parity with demon hunters. Having more tanks is que and lfg is never a bad thing either. Especially if you give that tank a lot of swagger.
Enh still suffer from insane button bloat imho. I just don't like primordial wave, and I don't get why they have so many spenders. Like ret, they should have a mno target and a multi target and done that's it, gameplay identity is utility totems. I really think enh shaman suffer from being like ret pal in the idea but weirdly complex, less fun, visually confusing (just make it all thunder OR fire/earth) and squishy
@@Leftside08 That's fair and that's what I do, better listen to enh main you're right. I played enh back in BC/wrath and one thing I really feel since SL rework is that it's the MOST vanilla-like spec in the game, which is not good in a modern MMO I think, it really feels out of place. Tell me if I'm wrong but it does not feel rewarding, gameplay feels slow, dies for nothing because it has no tankiness and has no mobility, any other melee spec feels more rewarding and with a clear gameplay identity while enh feels like a patchwork of concepts that does something barely functionning. That's my overall feeling. Again it's not my main idk maybe ppl like that even if they think I should be improved but I find it very frustrating to play
@@EvilBigMadsounds like you are overthinking it and think shiny buttons means too many spenders. That's just things affected by maelstrom. You have 1 spender spender in st and aoe, 2 in st if you take ele blast. Then you have proc and CD based stuff. It's not so different from ret except everything has more synergy as enhance
Dunno how tuning will go, but right now Rider of the Apocalypse is easily outdpsing San’Layn, especially with the tier set that gives haste for every minion summoned. Wait, what? They did give us mounted combat outside.
I wish they would start it improving the skill animations for some of the older classes. The newer classes have much better skill animations. To me that’s what I start to enjoy how a class plays
I would love to see survival just changed to a dragoon just spear type abilitys and bleeds. Or change it to trapper spec where you have traps and spiked ground.
Unholy seems really good at first glance, and then you start playing with the talent calc and you realize any build you put together has significant flaws. If you go heavy into AoE disease w/ Superstrain you have almost no single target. There are just too many nodes and 2 pt talents. Probably really strong on Fort weeks but terrible on Tyrannical. If you go with a more balanced damage profile Festering/Sudden Doom build you have no way to reliably spread or utilize Festering in AoE because bursting and Vile Contagion are burried deep in the disease branch. Festering Scythe sort of helps, but it's an awkward ability with some timing and control issues that puts you in this weird position where you're often holding Festering towards the end of a pack because you want Scythe for the next big pull. Which means your mostly reliant on D&D and Cleaving strikes to do any sort of AoE, which is one step up from being diagnosed with terminal cancer. It's really close to being great, but it's essentially hamstrung by having way too many 2 point nodes, some questionable node placement, and a poor design decision on how Festering Scythe works. Hopefully they tweak it abit before launch, it's right on the cusp of being a fantastic spec.
Not a DK main but I've always liked the theme of frost dk more than unholy so I feel for frost players. They've spent literally forever in the shadow of unholy they just can't let that spec be worse than frost it's wild
In my opinion. Turn frost into a duel wield tank. Wouldnt hurt for at least 1 xpac. Let me manage my own pools and breath. Instead of the group trying help manage it.
Always remember that this is a Beta ( and pretty early even for a beta ). Numbers will change and blizzard will adjust many things. The only thing we can judge right now is the gameplay feeling of the classes. Fury / Mountain Thane Warriors would be S tier !
Outlaw rogue here, there is nothing wrong with a pure dps class dealing damage, we still deal less damage than hybrid classes. the changes are not welcome none of them are, none of them are wanted
On a paler horse didn’t work inside dungeons where you could mount, and if they change that, you likely wont be able to use it in indoor dungeons and raids anyway. Mounted combat kind of was supposed to be 100% of the time, however unlikely that wishful thinking would have been 😀
@@MarcelianOnline that's interesting. Maybe they're expecting you to take Death Charge in dungeons/raid for balance reasons, which is still an incredible ability, giving you 10-20sec of mounted combat indoors/dungeons when you need it. 10sec of mount is way stronger than Divine steed and the cool down is so short that its more available than improved sprint for rogues!
idk Dragon flight WW Monk seemed simple the new one seems slow and complicated but maybe once it goes live and they tuned things the energy starvation will be gone after pressing tiger palm twice who knows. My testing was with both pve tier set and 626 pvp gear in both types haste vers and vers mastery and the haste just wasn't enough to make a dent in the energy regen that the spec needs. as for Outlaw rogue it will be better once they fix the bugs to specific abilities not working such as Killing Spree only using 1 CP etc even at 7CP.
It might seems slow because now the other secondary stats matter. You just don't build versa. If it feels slow it's because you probably don't have that much haste, which is usually what happens to melees in the beginning of an expansion
I`ve been posting on blizz forums for like 3 years - begging for a DK rework - Finally happend. Yea, i am a one class andy player. I play only DK since WOD - alternating to MM hunter in legion cuz who doesnt love to use sidewinders/barrage pulling everything. Finally i wont have 14 buttons opener anymore - finally i wont be forced to press 14 buttons in a specific order just to deal the same dmg a DH with eyebeam does.
Change the class fantasy for Survival already. It doesn't have enough interest. Change the spec to Sentinel and the hero talent to Night Warrior. Why does any class have bombs in the first place? Fashion Sentinel off of Tyrande instead of Survival off of Rexxar. Rexxar isn't interesting. Tyrande is.
Tbh, love your content, but I never get these kinds of videos coming out with over 1.5 months of continuous changes to come. I would recommend putting these out like 1-2 weeks prior to release. :)
I’d like them to remove crackshot from outlaw honestly. Outlaws fantasy is a swashbuckler, it isn’t subtlety with swords and a gun. Crackshot makes it subtlety with swords and a gun. I came back after stopping in Season 1, tried to play my rogue and absolutely hated it. I want to like it, I want to want to play my rogue but I just don’t. It’s a shame.
Hunter and Shaman (not even just melee) getting completely hosed at the moment. Shaman has had 0 absolutely 0 talent/spell changes throughout Alpha despite half their hero talents being NYI. Then they were sent into Beta being told by blizz that they were done with major talent changes/reworks
@@EmilHansson-s2w talent rework yes. I think other classes need less defensives. No aoe cap would be a bit excessive. The main imbalance in the game is the "haves vs have nots" our defensives and aoe limits feel bad because everyone else has more. I don't think giving us more would fix the issue with the game
If this turns out to be accurate ooooh man... I miss my Dk I dropped maining him since they went to shit I was hoping they gonna do something to make em great again and I hope this is the day we return to glory as fearsome dark warriors of death.
No more Shadow Dance as Outlaw but 2 Vanish? Holy crap! That means leveling will be oldschool again but in Dungeons and Raids I can reset my CD of Vanish while I am using Vanish? Great :D
