Me too. Had to laugh at " sometimes all you want to do is come home and post to RU-vid video and hang. But your woman has got a push the button on your pickle"
Alton and Ms. Elizabeth, we miss you guys. Tuesday nights are not the same without watching QQ. We are desperately waiting on more new episodes. 😮 Please... Please... come back to us!
I enjoy seeing a more relaxed and personal side of Alton Broan. You and Elizabeth are indeed a lovely couple. I hope to see more in this format... don't get me wrong I Love the Classic Alton.
Not just relationship goals, but people goals. In my worst, in my best, Alton Brown and Elizabeth Ingram know how to fix everything. Even when they obviously don't know. So thank you. You've taught me, you've helped me, you've made me laugh, think, smile. Thank y'all. Truly
Had no idea this existed! How nice that you folks come out on the casual side of the internet! Thank you for sharing and I hope you do more. Love Alton and his favorite pickle.
Didn't watch the last two shows on Tuesday when they were live. Watching now later. My husband who is a huge fan passed away last Monday and I am struggling. I'm catching up now. Thanks for coming back on QQ.
Omg! QQ at CB…that will indeed be a show to watch! I have been to a Cracker Barrel a few times, and I order breakfast items (no matter the time of day). :-)
Well, its been a month and a half since this episode. Hope you will be back with more, or tell us that was it. I keep checking every Tuesday, hoping. Your fun to watch.
Hey AB and Elizabeth. My wife and I came up with a great cocktail for you both to try. I have surgery tomorrow so I won’t see your response. Here is the recipe: 2 oz of a really good Gin Splash of Dry Vermouth 7 slices of raw cucumber 7 fresh sage leaves Olives or Cocktail Onions In a mixing glass muddle the cucumber slices, sage with the splash of DV. Add ice and Gin shake until well chilled. Top of with soda water (I use a bottle Italian water) strain In cocktail glass add olives or onions. Thanks for the refreshing show really love it.
I think Alton and his wife have gotten to the point in life where they have basically said Fuck It we will do as we please and if you don't like it that is your problem and not theirs. I am at that point myself. 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
You’re missing the little condensation collecting cup attachment at the back. :). You can make a really nice one pot meal in a rice cooker. We never really used the oven growing up bc instead of bread and roasted meat we ate mostly rice and braised and steamed meats.
I have been to Cracker Barrel quite a few times over the years. Favorite dishes were always the catfish and the hash brown casserole. Like the biscuits and the breakfasts.
I was breading chicken and could not comment during but....I think the colors of the black rice, kale and the black cod are lovely together and I am sure that it tasted good to.
Chef's need Permatex gel super glue for quick cut sealing. Much longer shelf life than the tubes that clog up a month after opening...and the tiny cheap needle they give you never opens it once it gets clogged.
Moxie is still made. I can buy it in a small butcher/general store in PA. I cannot find it any closer to my home. My husband loves it. It was his father's favorite soda; he was raised in MA. I had never heard of it before I met my husband. I buy it for Steve every once in a while.
That fish looked good, so I was just about to write Black Cod on my grocery list. Then Alton got to the parasite talk, and NOPE. Not going on my grocery list. F that.
Best thing about Cracker Barrel is the store. All the retro (my generation...Boomer) candies/drinks etc. I stock up. Oh and my family likes the food. I shop. They eat. Haven't been to one in years though......the closest one, I believe, is over 100 miles away. (and no I have never watched Hee Haw)
achiote seeds (annatto) originally made cheese orange Eleizabeth. I only knew this because I like the natural dye process of fibers and im always intrigued. So when you said orange cheese, I was like… hey! Lol Don’t think American cheese has it, but you can pretend.
I live near Bedford, NH and can confirm my local convenience store indeed sells Moxie. It's flavored with gentian root. Definitely not a soda for everyone.
Good grief, I'm laughing so hard right now watching this. Thanks for making me laugh. I'm actually looking forward to making dinner tonight! I might even watch Private Eyes with Don Knots and Tim Conway (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oHIEnxCgr2k.html) due to the part about Cynar (Cynar, Cynar..."two beers?") and the discussion about Cracker Barrel is so timely for me. I just went last week while visiting Orlando and hadn't been there since my grandparents used to take me for breakfast 25 years ago. The hashbrown casserole was good stuff, but I can make better gravy hands down due to Good Eats. I'll never back down from a gravy challenge again! I am now happy and I haven't even made a cocktail yet. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'm even looking forward to finding and making black rice for the first time ever....(and now I just got to the part about the sun rising over Jupiter). 🤣🤣🤣
i never get to watch live anyway, worry about total number of people after like a month maybe, or just don't worry about how many people are watching at all
Alton, you’re suppose to say your favorite part about Cracker Barrel is their country ham! Lol The reason I say that is I live in smokies and was looking at Dillard house (someone asked me about it) and you did a review on Dillard house or in some show on food network and went in about their salty country ham! Lol it’s just a coincidence - it was today, and here we are.
