MatPat did those endings so wrong lol. But they’ll figure it out…maybe Admittedly, the game let him do it wrong. This is why the entire game can be finished in 3-4 minutes. MatPat just keeps using some speed run tricks without realizing it
@@TheAllSeeingEye2468 yeah. This is expressed in the conversations we have with mr hippo in ultimate custom night. Kinda cool how a small indie game just turned into this.
Someone might've already mentioned this, but to explain the strange Vanny endings, if you choose FazerBlast and not Monty's Golf, you find the Vanny hideout a lot sooner. With that, when you reach 6am and get the "leave" or "stay" options, it'll give you a third one called "Vanny" that'll lead you to those 2 endings (also explaining how Freddy knew about Vanny even before finding the hideout; in an alternate gameplay, Freddy would've known about her). There's a comic scene and then a gameplay portion, and that gameplay portion allows you to either play PQ3 or press the button to "disassemble Vanny" which'll change the ending. Matt had glitched into that gameplay portion when he hops the fence and that's why Freddy was randomly destroyed and the endings were confusing. I think if you find the Vanny hideout (without glitching the game) and head back to the front doors, it might give you the Vanny option that'll allow you to see the first part of those endings you're missing.
@@chonkydog6262 He’s literally said that he’s going in blind and will try and achieve all endings by himself. He’s not looking at any of these comments to avoid potential spoilers.
@@randomsimp There are like three more endings, two of which I think will give him the option to leave/stay/vanny if he does the fazerblast. Though he could speedrun it taking a different path.
it’s absolutely HILARIOUS that the one fnaf player that takes his time looking for the lore and wanting to get everything absolutely breaks the game and accidentally skips all the lore 🤣
Yeah, people get so pressed that he sequence-breaks twice, but seriously?? First, the game shouldn’t be so easily breakable, it really goes to show that this thing wasn’t adequately playtested. Second, this is a huge open-world game in a series FAMOUS for and built from the ground up on its hidden secrets and lore, OF COURSE PEOPLE ARE GOING TO TRY AND FIND SECRETS BY JUMPING FENCES AND ACCESSING SEEMINGLY INACCESSIBLE AREAS, LIKE BRO 😭
Matpat: *Finds secrets and parts of the game hardly anyone knows about* Also Matpat: *Misses an entire security office critical to progressing the main story of the game*
Man, it’s almost hard to watch the endings when he doesn’t realize he’s actually doing an entire speedrun skip which is resulting in the loss of his progress every time he does the endings, as well as missing an entire portion of the ending due to inherently skipping the process of triggering the ending to begin with. Hopefully he realizes before the next episode, I would hate for him to have to go through all of this every single time.
What are you talking about? Once you hit 6am you cannot save any progress. Except for the Roxy Racetrack glitch, which actually bugs out the Afton ending so isn't worth doing at all.
@@cursedGalataea he needed to find Vanny’s room before the 6am auto save. Then he’d have three choices at the auto save and be able to see the proper Vanny ending
With full context it's like, slightly weird how angry Freddy sounds (you'd think he'd be more worried about Gregory, like the last time he was damaged) but ultimately you're not wrong.
I honestly think it makes sense for him to be mad at vanny in context of the story considering how he probably at least suspects her of controlling his friends and turning them against a child he wanted to protect the entire night and he doesnt know vanny is controlled by afton and i also dont think he meant disassembling when he said to turn them against her As for why he sounds mad here specifically besides the fact we encountered a tiny bit more of vanny between the last time he was damaged,i do also think his worry during the first time is basically just because he wasnt sure if he could believe that gregory could survive this on his own but as the night goes on he starts believing more and more in him since gregory survives more and more stuff so by this point the emotion of anger takes of nervousness as its less prevalent or something Thats just my take on it tho
Unless he goes back to a previous save, the Glitch is the only way he can see that ending I believe. The Option for Vanny's ending is given at the 6am mark IF you did Fazerblast not Monty Golf, and found her room. Matt did Monty Golf, so he can't get the ending because its already 6am, the choice doesn't come back up. It has to be glitched. The Game locks out an ending if you chose Golf.
That my friends is what's called being a fnaf youtuber sometimes you know everything other times you are staring at the computer hot hours trying to figure it out
Tbh this was the only way Mat could get these endings as he doesn't discover Vanny's hideout before 6am meaning he doesn't get the option to investigate Vanny so he can never see that cutscenes or endings without glitching the game like Mat did so despite the missing info, I'm glad he got the endings.
Just when I was eating dinner, complaining to myself how there is nothing on RU-vid I wanted to watch, the doors to heaven opened up and this video fell into my lap. Love your vids Mat!
I think Mat just forgot about it. When freddy got low battery the first time and he said he wasnt himself bla bla. That indicates that he'll attack gregory when out of battery.
@Jason Omega it does. He is supposed to grab the fazer blaster and continue from then but he thinks the camera is OP so he does not want grab the fazer blaster, so he is missing half of the ending.
@@milowells6914 It doesn’t really matter, he’ll do the Vanny death ending properly later anyways. He is just hyped to learn more about princess quest. He didn’t even know it leads into an ending.
@@milowells6914 Actually the only difference in choice is whether you aim your stun with multiple shots or splash stun that has one use befor it needs to be recharged (and finding Vanny's room but that's a given)
Actually it really doesn't make a difference, because in his playthrough, he can't get the Vanny ending properly because the "option" for choosing the Vanny ending, it doesn't appear and he can't trigger anymore to open, so the ONLY way for him to see, is to play all the game again, or make the same glitch again for him to see these 2 endings
As Mat said, what people normally expect is he shouldn't be moving if he is out of battery. Whether or not he's good or bad is irrelevant when he shouldn't have the energy to move.
To be fair, it is just one line. Maybe if he warned the player each time he was upgraded that he was feeling weirder and weirder it might be expected, but I don't blame Mat for this one. Especially since the pre-12am segment shows the player that Freddy just harmlessly drops them when he's out of battery.
Wasn’t the line also when they were in parts & service? I thought the speaker voice mentioned that all safety protocols were turned off for maintenance, leading to Freddy jumpscaring you if you get something wrong
@@LowPolyPigeon I think the reason why Freddy was feeling weirder and weirder is because the parts we collected from other animatronics are corrupted by William Afton and that is why William Afton is easily control/corrupt Freddy in the boss fight part especially when we didn't incinerate him
The "I feel strange" only occurs when you gain an extra heart, surpassing the amount of hearts you can have, like she is getting healed when no damage has been taken.
Yeah and in princess quest 2 the first time he got the heart she said this feels nice and he didn't notice it talking about the hearts being weird and when he gets the second heart she says it's weird and different again
I like to think the feel strange could also be illuding to her gaining back her body piece by piece and the hearts falling from the monsters are her taking it from glitchtrap but that’s the language arts student in me lol
Mat's already decided that Vanny is innocent of any wrong doing because she's possessed by Glitchtrap. And there's an argument to be had that she is because Vanessa isn't intentionally murdering children but he tends to judge the people's she's against more harshly for that.
Mat didn't see the cutscene where Vanny has the bots rip apart Freddy, so he just wants Gregory to get revenge on her believing she can't be redeemed. It's fine except it just confuses Mat on why or how Gregory is taking Freddy's head.
Matpat should definitely try to get to the vanny ending option the proper way, as he is missing an entire cutscene for context It may not be much, but without it, it's just too confusing You have to beat fazerblast, get the fazerblaster and go check out the vent to find vanny's room, and then go back through the vent, exit fazerblast, and run to the pizzaplex exit And thats the vanny ending option unlocked Jumping over the gate like he did must be faulty collision, and not the intended way Hopefully he sees one of the various comments explaining this It'll help resolve this confusion
@@PepicWalrus It's unfortunate, but you can't say "how was this missed in testing" when the game is 100x bigger than any fnaf game prior. It is gigantic, in surprised there aren't more bugs honestly.
@@sonicblade64 yeh but its odd that he'd aknowledge that he's not supposed to do it that way, do it anyway, then act all confused that there is something missing. and he's done this twice now. it's not his fault that the game has that glitch, but it is his fault for knowingly using the glitch then being confused that he's missing crucial information.
I mean: This franchise had secrets where players literally had to walk through solid walls to get somewhere. "Jumping over a hip-high gate with a technique one is able to find out in seconds" doesn't seem like that much of a leap in logic, no pun intended.
Exactly. Helps provide a bit more information as to what is happening with the ending. Hopefully he’ll see the comments and maybe see how he was supposed to do the ending.
in the one he got "today" what is the missing scene? I know that the missing scene of yesterdays video is of vanny attacking freddy first but gregory "turn(ing) them against vanny"
To understand the "Disassemble Vanny" ending, you have to find her hideout before 6 AM. Only then the correct sequence of events is unlocked and you're able to get that ending organically
Honestly the fact that you can even skip Fazerblast and finding her room when it’s clearly intended to be done beforehand and had dialogue that relies on it regardless is… Really dumb. Breaking the game’s story cause you thought somewhere else looked cooler and went there first in a free roam game is an insane oversight.
cant you go back to the entrance to face the choice again? that only seems like it would make sense, since you can go to the other exits after staying. but idk since i dont have the game and cant play it. so maybe you just go to one of the other exits and it gives you the choice, since im positive you can go to the other exits after staying. its a possibility. it just doesnt make sense that youre completely locked out of that ending because you choose monty golf instead of fazerblast
I think sometimes matts brain gets too focused on one thing he kind of forgets the bigger picture and needs to step back and kinda start over. If you want to see all of the game and get all the security badges and do everything you need to remember the basics of this game, take out each animatronic and then search each of the new areas you unlock by doing so, he gets so hyper focused on the bonus stuff that he kinda forgets the main game right infront of him. It's like if you start an rpg and after doing two main quests just start doing only side quests but wonder why the game progression seems strange when you get to a new area.
This has always been Mats biggest negative. He focuses too hard on one thing and then forgets about other things and then fills in those blanks with assumptions he doesn't have to make.
I feel like some of this stuff is happening because maybe the don't have a lot of time? Like with other lets players they can just play the game straight for however long they need to because that's their job. They can get all the endings and look for lore afterwards. But with Matpat, not only is he hyperfixated on lore stuff at the cost of everything else (which is on him lol), he also isn't only a let's player, he has other content he is primarily dedicated to making, like _this_ is his side content (he also has a child lol). So he may feel like he doesn't have time to prioritize things that don't lead to lore, even if doing that inadvertently causes him to miss huge chunk of important story or take longer than he would have. It doesn't help that the game glitched so many times it caused him to have to repeat entire sectionsn dragging the playthrough out even longer, and he's literally the last person playing this game/to have not completed it. I think all this is contributing to his impatience and concentration on lore relevant stuff. Like he generally has to make a theory within the time frame when the game is more relevant while also playing it, while also running like 3 other channels, while also being a parent. I can understand how he feels he needs to rush to get to the juicy lore bits instead of just playing the whole game as intended and _then_ getting to lore. I think some of it is also on MirrorMat for not really guiding him or telling him to stay on track, because Matpat seems to need that.
@@Lisa_Flowers Yeah I would agree with that, I know Mats mentioned many times about always feeling like he wants to "make progress", and I think like you said he feels he needs to get to the hidden lore bits and pieces cause that's who he is, he's the lore guy, he's the theory guy. And yeah he has such a busy life what with having a very young child, 4 channels, 3 of which require script writing etc. I honestly have no idea how he does it.
@@Lisa_Flowers Probably makes sense. I have no problem with him not finding everything but its a little bit frustrating when he is such a lore buff. I just want him to see everything and react to that stuff. And when he misses stuff that isn't that hard to get. Its just kinda like "well thats a bummer". Mat takes this stuff way more seriously then Markiplier for example and Mark found a bunch of stuff just by being a bit more consistant then Matpat was. No doubt he will be clued in on it and find it eventually though.
Well the problem is that you can't even get the Vanny ending if you did Monty Golf first... which is stupid. You wouldn't be able to see Vanny's hideout before 6 AM if you do Monty Golf first, so he would have to redo the whole game to see the cutscene
Note: When Freddy states when you do the first "upgrade" and reattach his head, he says "I don't feel like myself" or similar (Can't remember the full phrase.) That is when Vanny has altered his systems to catch you. While he has energy, he can resist it, but when his energy gets into the "Out of energy" which is not out of energy, it is more of a returning to a energy saving mode, so most of his systems gets turned off, but not movement, or catch system.
“It all comes down to this”… Why do I have a feeling MatPat doesn’t get the most important ending in this one Edit: I REALLY hope MatPat finds out more about the game before settling on a theory because he is missing more than he thinks he is (especially with the last two endings missing an important cutscene).
to be fair though, I don't see any other way he could have accomplished this unless there is another way to get a party pass at this point rather than from Freddy at the door, because if he's able to reload an older save so he can get to Fazerblast sooner and have the Vanny ending appear so he can go through that sequence normally he still wouldnt have a Party Pass unless there's one hidden somewhere or he goes all the way back to before he uses one somewhere else, which is weird since the game seemingly gives you a choice of which place you get to go to first but then makes you have to glitch into the middle of this ending to get it (unless again theres another party pass laying around that I dont know about)
The fact that he still hasn't realized that jumping over that fence literally skips a chunk of the game is somewhat impressive... No where in the game could you jump over any fence, and the fact that it opens the other direction is a clear indication that you are supposed to some from the other direction. Seeing the room from exploring the vents is just foreshadowing, and letting the player know that there will be a Princess Quest 3. This didn't seem like an ending because we don't know what happened to get there
37:00 he knows its a glitch he says "Yeah i've definitely cheated at this point, what you want me to do it the normal way and risk losing all our progress?". Where did you get the notion that he didnt know it was a glitch lol
Well, there's no way to reach the Vanny ending in his game since the "Vanny" option is not available on the intro screen, this is probably the only way. Unless the endings were taken out for some reason??
@@VenomQuill you mean the disassemble Vanny ending or the "free" Vanny ending? The disassemble Vanny ending has a proper way to go and has been explored. The free Vanny ending is likely not accessible because it does seem to be a secret ending considering that it is the only 3 star and is quite difficult to achieve in comparison to most of the other endings. Edit: Not explored by MatPat yet but by the people who didnt ya know... jump the gate
@@scopedin2990 I mean the actual option in the 6:00 AM menu. The options are "Leave" and "Stay" in all three exit locations. The same thing is happening to my game. Two things: 1) The reason you don’t know why what happened to Freddy happened to Freddy is because you keep breaking the game, which skips a cutscene which would make you much less confused 2) There are still 3 more endings: The Good Ending by leaving through the loading docks, the Unmasked Ending by leaving through the VIP exit, and the True Ending by going back to Roxy Raceway after beating both Monty and Chica. You have gotten the Bad Ending by leaving through the front entrance, the Disassembled Ending by pushing the button in the Vanny option when leaving (which you unlock when you leave AFTER beating Fazer Blast), and the Savior Ending by beating all three of Princess Quest
There are at least 2 endings he NEEDS to see. He needs to go beat Chica and then go to Roxy's Raceway to check out what's below, and then he needs the VIP ending.
Nothing is more frustrating than watching Mat literally skipping things for the sake of lore and missing ALL THE NESSECARY LORE ON THE WAY AND QUESTIONING IT

However, I can’t help but feel bad for MatPat bc his gaming experience has been sooo screwed up bc of broken game functions or glitches. It's been twelve parts now and MatPat still hasn't found the true ending yet...at this point I'm wondering if he will ever make it through the intended way 😅
He is a normal child. Steel Wool censored mentions of gore in his voicelines and remade them, so Freddy says Gregory is "broken", while he was supposed to have a cut on arm/leg (?) It can be found in a files, just like unused Burntrap's animations and voiceline from SB trailer.
@@nightflake6721 Gregory gets cut on the face patched up by the band-aid(?) as we can see on all the comic endings. That's why Freddy is worried while Gregory just shrugs it off. However Charlie in "Silver Eyes" also was able to get hurt despite being "less human" than initially expected ;)
Even though I think Gregory was always intended to be human, and I like that better, I won't be surprised when, just because all the Let's players keep ranting about it they'll just retcon him into being a robot.
I feel like they should have made it where you can't do that like where if you needed the context of another cut scene you'd get it first before being able to trigger the second half
So... Why IS Freddy's head in a bag??? To get the ending you only need to complete the quests. I hope Matpat or Mirror mat sees this, as it'll be a big help overall. There is a way to save once you hit 6am. All you need to do is go to Roxy Raceway and go to the spot where you grabbed the go kart assistants head. There will be a head you can pick up once again. This will reset your time to 5:15am, and re-enables the ability to save. From there, just go to your save spot of choice and save and you will now be in the glitched state where you can save.

If you pick Fazerblast you're practically set to get the Vanny ending just because it's heavily connected to Fazerblast, if you pick Monty then you're left with only exploring and not knowing what else to do even after doing Fazerblast correctly.
@@sundalosketch4769 yeah. honestly feels like the story wasn't planned properly. kinda dumb that a really big lore point is in one branch of a choice, and it's a choice the game forces you to make without hinting that one game is more important than the other.
The running theory of "Freddy's in Safe Mode and so when he runs out of battery, he can be corrupted like the other animatronics" answers why he jumpscares you, but I'm always left to think about how TERRIBLE Freddy must feel afterwards, holding Gregory's body in his arms ...
For MatPat and anyone else confused about the Freddy jump scare, his safety mode was turned off. In the beginning it's safety mode that keeps Freddy from attacking when he has a low battery. When you reattach his head in the cylinder it warns you that safety mode is turned off.
I’ve seen other videos of him jump scaring when you reach no battery tho before the whole after 6am stuff. It was either in one of Marks videos or Ranboo’s play through. I don’t remember who’s video I was watching, but it was before they reached the final decision
@@shadowknightskye2783 yeah. At the very beginning he boots him out, but mat didn’t use Freddy basically at all early game(before 6am), so he never knew
i know he doesn’t want it spoiled, but matt seriously needs to figure out how to not glitch the game and make it work 😭 love the guy, he’s great, but most of these could be prevented by him not glitching the game after fazerblast. too bad he doesn’t read comments. make GTLive-live again! we need to shout at him!
Matpat: purposefully breaks game by jumping over an object that definitely isn't meant to be jumped over Also matpat: "Why is freddy broken? It doesn't make sense"
He didn't break the game on purpose. He jumped over a small, easily jumpable gate. There was no indication that he wasn't supposed to jump over it. Don't blame him for the game being so easily broken.
@@gianna322 He did tho. Last episode he tried jumping multiple times and failed until he finally did it and he was wondering if he broke the game. And now did it again...
@@gianna322 They directly acknowledged that they are doing something they weren't meant to do at 37:02 Mirror Mat: "You're definitely cheating" Matpat: "Yeah I've definitely cheated at this point. Why do you want me to do it the normal way and risk losing all our progress?"
To the people concerned about the theory, there are three possibilities: 1. It is a two part theory and the second part will include the stuff he hasn’t found yet (he doesn’t like long episodes and he likes to upload at least one theory before the hype dies) 2. The theory isn’t about the full game but one specific part that doesn’t require the rest of the endings (like his fnaf four videos that focused on the science behind getting your brain bitten) 3. We know these videos are pre-recorded. It’s possible he spent most of this day playing and already found all the endings, and we’re all just screaming into the void with our advice.
@@SurrealNirvana obviously he pulls in info from tons of places, he even mentions it in his theories. I just meant he could potentially have already finished his play through so that he could start looking at other peoples stuff without ruining his blind run.
It's weird that he's surprised that being inside the animatronic as it's battery dies leads to a death when people dying inside of or being killed and stuffed into animatronics are part of the premise of literally every game in the franchise.
It is weird for them to go the jumpscare route while you're inside of him as he's running out of power. Especially when the first impression of Freddy when he loses power is to eject the player and leave him.
@@SirPhroggieCroaksALot I think it mainly happened due to both the power draining after 6am (since time wouldn't pass after you get booted and he says early on it will take about an hour to charge iirc) and also mat playing Frankenstein on freddy with the parts from his friends. I vaguely remember him saying something along the lines of not feeling well or like himself (although that could have been due to getting operated on and the safety protocols being removed when you replace and swap parts)
Matt, after finding the hidden room, you’re supposed to go back to the entrance and choose to fight Vanny. You’ll get a cutscene explaining how Freddy got all banged up.
@@delaneylipkin2194 yes. Because he asked, but it was uploaded last night. So I’m betting due to editing, what we’re watching now was played yesterday morning. So the episode hadn’t come out when this was taped
@@gummygrenade They become disheveled, they look dirty and broken down as the night progresses, and it's presumably from Afton/Glitchtrap controlling them
@@gummygrenade every hour all the robots report back to a charging station and become more run down. Afton is stored in a charging station too and likely saps their energy each hour plus infuses then with his energy
@@alanaelectra7737 or the reason they look dirty is because you ram a car at roxy, crush chica and crush money making him fall off a high ledge or before that running everywhere and in dirty places will make you dirty.
I really wish Matt would realize that time stands still until he gives Freddy new eyes. He can do the arcade cabinets and a bunch of other stuff with saves active, that way he doesn't have to redo so much.
I hope MatPat actually play through the game in the proper sequence, and not break it. It probably explains why Freddy is broken, and the S.T.A.F.F. bots turn hostile.
The problem is he has to go back to the front after playing the two princess quests and seeing the vanny hideout to do that. It’s super unintuitive. Because everyone else who chose fazerblaster just GOT vanny as an option. So he has no reason to assume there’s a 3rd option.
@@marli8907 I meant to replay the "tear apart Vanny" ending route. He never got an answer to why Freddy was torn apart in the comic ending, or the remark about the S.T.A.F.F. bots, or Freddy's voice telling Gregory to reprogram the bots. The sequence breaking left out a bunch of content and details that complete that specific ending
@@marli8907 I believe he needs to take the blaster that is in the center of the room, the one that he keeps on refusing to take. Either out of ignorance, or the second time, out of fear that it would close the vent somehow. That is the one common variable, aside from him glitching over the closed gate after the vent.
@@marli8907 I know and people say Matt should just go back to the door instead of jumping the gate but there's no prompt for that at all. This is a great example of a game released way too early it needed be finished. At this point it's not just the glitches messing with the story, most people even say the game makes sense if you chose Faserblast first. So anyone who chose Monty Golf will just be confused because the game was not fleshed out for that option despite it being a option
Mat, word of advice, after you get the cutscene of vanny’s room it unlocks a new option at the end of the game when you try to exit. That’s how you PROPERLY get the ending 😃
I'm not sure if I'm reading it wrong but your tones coming off a little passive-aggressive bud. Maybe he'd do the ending properly if the game didn't make him risk all his progress with the stupid no saving rule.
The problem tho is that in order to get the dissemble Vanny ending, he would have to redo the entire game and choose FazerBlast so he has that ending available to him. He cannot save unless he either breaks the game by going to Roxy Raceway and taking the driver head again or he does true ending below the pizzaplex. But for that true ending, he would also need Chica's voice box to get to it so....this game has many problems
MatPat in the previous episode: "Tell me if I did something wrong in the comments, guys. I wanna get the endings the correct way." MatPat in this episode: "What did I do wrong?? Why is Freddy acting weird all of a sudden?!?".
@@MarKreationsStudios I mean there have been previous episodes where he talks about things the comments told him to do (including here with the comments on Freddy's jumpscare,) and many of these are recorded well before even some of the previous episodes are from what I understand
I'm unsure if MatPat realizes, but the security room in Princess Quest 3 is connected to FNAF VR because the main stage area is identical to the one in VR. Not to mention the prize corner being placed in the same location as it should be in VR.
@@C.P.L Well we've seen a variation (sort of), it kinda looks like a mirrored FNAF 3 office if it weren't decrepit (Door on right instead of left and vent on left instead of right)
@@kevintaylor8748 That is definitely a possibility, but look back in the video, and you see that it isn't similar at all. In vanny's room, the doors are not in the right position relevant to the desk, and it has a bed, which the security room in Princess Quest 3 does not show. The more possibly guess is that it is the security room in FNAF VR, which we haven't seen.
Ok, this game could of been amazing and an instant classic in the series if it had more direction for the steps of the quest, less glitches and an actual save progress in the ending or have the ending only happen after you have done everything in the game, basically acting as a unlock screen for pick the endings you have activated. So you only need to play the game once and can experience all the endings back to back. I just feel like out of all the people i've watch none have had any clue on what to do after 6am even though the game literally is only 2/3rds done and half explored.
