I'm 70, my Dad used to tell me "never drink and listen to CW music....'cause after the third beer, it sounds like ever song was written about your life", Dad would have been 108 this October....next to JESUS, the greatest man i ever met!
But they are Jim, well it's so easy to get lost in them - I'm 70 and strange to tell my Dad would have been 108 this July - War years made older Dad's, shame to see the waste of their sacrifices these days.

Bin schon alt lebe in Thüringen, Deutschland. Aber ich habe seine tollen Songs. ❤❤❤❤❤
Back in ‘62 my family and i moved to east Texas. I had the pleasure of having Zelma Price as my 5th and 6th grade teacher. I remember running into the house and telling my dad about her and the stories she told about her stepson running with Elvis Presley. From that day forward i became a big fan of Ray Price and right before he passed away i had the privilege to see him and hear him sing some of my favorite songs. I do miss him a lot. In 1975 i fell in love with the music of another super great country singer from Texas, Willie Nelson. The Red Headed stranger became a major part of my country music life and rarely do i listen to music without him being “around”. I loved it when he and Ray would put their talents together and put me the best music world of all, Willie and Ray together. Ray may be gone, but his music still lives in my heart. And as long as Willie hangs in there, i still have him to fill my world with his voice. Yet i know that we are both growing old, but his music never does. But when we are both gone i hope his and Rays music will be there to keep someone else company. This beautiful melody is a grand tribute to two musicians that mean a lot to me. Thanks and , It Always Will Be Willie and Ray with me.
I think about the only one still around. All the more reason to appreciate him and his music. There will never again be the talent, the wonderful music, that these artists gave us.
From distant Greece I play this song again and again dreaming when I'm coming back to US to enjoy a long ride on Route 66 listening my favorite songs while driving a Harley Davidson....
Willie. No words. Love you!! My dad listened to big band & such back in the day. There were no stories. Heard you jam the blues with your band when I turned 60. You sat on a stool & jammed the blues with your band at the PAC in Appleton Wisconsin. Frigging amazing!! Just attended your Outlaw Tour at Alpine Valley, WI. My 70th birthday gift. Great time!! Not calling bullshit on that. Great song with your son. 🥰
Some 20 years ago I met Willi backstage at the Royal Albert Hall. We were moving out after a 3-day convention and he moved in for his upcoming concert the same evening.I love this man and his music. God bless you Willi Nelson with all you need. Amen
I always will be one of Willie Nelson's biggest fans. Have loved that voice since the first time I heard him sing "Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain". And anything after that; he's just one of the best!👾❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Same here! I fell in love with him when I heard “Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain”. I’m 83 now and still love his music. I’m a little bit in love with Willie! 😊
Such a simple, haunting song by two singers who let their voices be the best instruments of all. No special effects, no drama, just pure feeling. Blessed are we to have ears to hear. ❤
Waylon Jennings once said in an interview in front of Willie that Willie's problem was that he couldn't carry a tune. I thought that was a curious thing to say. I think Nelson sings pretty darn good
I remember albums with my favorite singer Merle Haggard. 1982 and 1987 pancho Letly and Seashores Old Mexico. Thanks Willie the last troubadour in country music
This brings me to tears! Its just beautiful & Willie's voice/singing style are 1 of a kind. Thank you Willie Nelson for all the beautiful music you've give us.
This is two of the Greatest country singers in the world! Each has a unique voice that will never be replaced, love you both, God bless you and your families forever!
This song is eternal. one can play n listen-to it over n over again. such is the draw it has on us.. Willie n Ray Price are Giants in C&W. God Bless them
@@winfriedwinterstein8884 that's good to know... I'm doing good thanks for asking I'm originally from Norway but currently living in Texas Dallas Which country are you from??
@@winfriedwinterstein8884 Nice place 👍 I've been to Germany for vacation with my son it's really nice over there and I will love to visit again soon How's the weather over there??
Classic country music perfection by two absolutely wonderful singers along with a beautiful steel guitar, lead guitar and orchestra. In a class all by themselves.
Willie Forever.....I grew up listening to his songs ....I am 61 now.....thanks to youtube, I have enjoyed watching him sing and play the guitar....encouraging so many younger artists now....Thanks, Willie....AND...Sonamo , for this particular upload....the lyrics and the voice evoke so much of emotion within me.
@Willie Nelson official fan inbox Thanks. From mid-70s....I was 14-15 yrs or so....the big addition has been from late 90s that I got access to the internet....thanks to those Techno-Gods from DARPA to Silicon Valley making life so interesting .....for me access to music continues to be the largest attraction even today....I live in a neat-little Lower-Himalayan town which, despite commercialisation over the decades, continues to be attractive with beautiful hills all around.
I never heard this song before! I hear a lot of Willie's newer music and was surprised that this was so beautiful! Sometimes hearing Willie sing with other entertainers is off and on. And, I generally like his solos. This one is amazing, especially the music! And I have never been a Ray Price fan, but he does wonderful too.
Love hearing willie sing. His songs may tear your heart out; yet they bring such a peace to your soul. And the duet is amazing. So the song. I am a friend of Jessie Purvis.
Hi it is Marie you are my life the only thing that reminds of the life I had it was not the greatest but my country music kept me going I am also 88 years young love you Willie and gang ❤❤ 4:39
Great Willie! The way he sings & pluck his guitar, Trigger, it's sound amazing...the songs he composed/sang were so meaningful, they're like poems and/or humans life stories/story telling. It seems at his age now, I'm hoping he can able to sing. God bless you, Willie and thank you to your music!
Wonderful singers Ray an Willie. Listening in Ireland today, ancestral home of the music you have made your own. Here we say a good song speaks to you and brings a tear to your eye and leaves an ach in your heart. You guys hit it every time. Thank you 😊 💓
Yes,hi is master of country musikk, and i am so sorry, that he Is gone away from us all...but i play his sengs ewery Day ..hehe in South Norway,so i hate Willy Nelson musikk ,and ....i hate tinging about his last name Nelson ..Was he related back to a Norwegians family ?
@@terjemevik4669 So much hate Terje! Better not to hate, it's not good for you.... Aside from that Willie Nelson is just one of the greatest singer song writers to so many folk, including me. Perhaps you could find some love.
Sometimes I think That love is somewhere Livin' on an island all alone I can see it in the darkness I can feel it in the distance And then it's gone And then I know that it is time For me to go and find my favorite girl 'Cause when I look into her eyes, I see All the love there is in all the world And it always will be And it always will be And it always will be It always will be There are some things I think about And every time I do, it breaks my heart And there is nothing I can do About this loneliness I feel when we're apart I stop and curse the darkness and the distance And then your face I see And when I look into your eyes, I see All the love there is inside of me And it always will be And it always will be And it always will be It always will be And it always will be And it always will be And it always will be And it always will be
Yes I’m so glad I found the Lord, or He found me. He is my only hope of seeing all the ones I love so much. I’m close to 78, I miss my dad and mom so much but if I didn’t have my wife of 55 years I wouldn’t want to go on but I have the hope of Christ in me and I know we’ll meet again !
Well, here I am all of a sudden and in my 70's. When in my 30's I read a very small sign on a cafe wall. It said " Getting Old Ain't For Sissies". Hmm, I wondered ," What do you suppose that means". Well, now I certainly do know! Another thing I know for sure is that when Willie leaves this earth I will CRY !!!!!!
WOW! two country greats on the same song! both are timeless ledgens! Im saying this four years later, almost five, willy is still singing, hes 90 years young! ..
Blessed to have such God given talent Willie you have touched this 93 year old`s heart your diction is spot on and your story reflects my life as I sit here alone with a waterfall down each cheek. "It always will be" Wal Browning O.A.M. Australia
I've listened to this three times now, it's one of my favorite medley's. Willie Nelson and Ray Price, it doesn't get much better than that. I think I listen to it one more time before I retire for the evening.
This brings back such memories from my past, and I can relate to having someone who is my comfort and my safe place when all the sadness fills my remembrance ! And it always will be❤️
