We are all passing through this world some of us are 21 others are 33 and 54 and a few are 66 and very few are 80 like Kris Kristofferson so let's be nice and kind to each other.

I saw Kris at the Front Row in Akron Ohio and I was mesmerized with his music ever since. What an amazing guy and some of his lyrics are just pure legendary poetry. I’ve been in love with him since the 70’s. I am 80 years old and he still gives me such joy with his music. Not everyone knows that he flew helicopters in the military and taught Literature at Oxford! And, has 8 children !! I’m not ready to say goodbye Kris, stay forever with your beautiful lyrics. You are a true story teller and I will always love you !!!

The world will never know the likes of this ever again. I am so glad to have lived throughout this era, at least up until "the music died".

Love this song, but it is with a bit of sadness as I am near 80 years so many of my favorite musicians are gone but not forgotten. There doesn’t seem to be many new artists that last a lifetime like the old timers👍🎩

Still searching , too much death the lost of brothers , in Nam , and my brother went before me , both grunts. We put our Mother through too many heartache s. God Bless you Mom and all Vets !

Ever time that I listen to Kris sings this song, it makes me cry. He sings with so much heart, emotion, and truth that you just can’t help but swell up with pride, sadness, and joy all rolled up into one. God bless you brother and thank you for your music and your service to our country!!!

I used to help cook a pancake breakfast for our church with another member. He and I would sing this song often while we cooked. The line, "I had a beer for breakfast" drove the pastors wife crazy! He went to be with the Lord many years ago but every time I hear this song, I am reminded of those very enjoyable times with my friend. Rest in peace Gary!

Sunday exactly. It was and still is the saddest, lonely day always. As a child, I stood in my front yard and cried for a happier day. Now in my 80’s, Sundays are just as they were in my childhood.

This is my favorite Kristofferson song -- the most incredible portrait of what loneliness and despair feels like that has ever been written, On the Ken Burns series, Kris said that this is exactly what his life was like at the time, including the two beers in the morning.

I have been lucky enough to hear both of these sing in The Shoals of Alabama in hotel bars. At the time, I first heard Jason, he was a young local guy that mostly known in the area and was playing backup for someone at a Holiday Inn. I got to see and here Donnie Fritts at that same hotel. Also saw Donnie Fritts at another great Hotel Bar, called SWAMPPERS, in the Marriott. Also lucky to sit with Donnie and here stories of his great career and Kris’s Kristofferson was one of his music friends. Live music is Alive and Well in Muscle Shoals Alabama.
