Community is a part becoming a better fisherman. I have a community where I teach anglers how to catch more fish. Regardless of how long you have been fishing there’s a place within my school that will help you get the results you want. Fishing is NOT magic. It’s not luck. It’s a very strategic and predictable sport that everyone can enjoy. I think I can help you. Join my school with this link sufschool.com/sign_in
Thanks bro I watch all your stuff front to back I'm like u I love things simple I see u don't have all the crazy graphs and stuff on your boat I think that's awesome keep it up bro u will have your year....
Thanks for the videos man, I'm 60 and I just started fishing again. Haven't fished much since mid 90's. My son-in-law is an avid angler and aspires to go pro, but he needs someone to help out and be there for him. His pop passed exactly a year ago and I love helping him, also, I'm retired and have all the time in the world to help. My thing is I am not able to improve his game so I watch the RU-vids to get better informed and your videos along with maybe five others are helping so much. Thank you for taking your valuable time to help us all out, you rock!
My father in law is my fishing partner. If you’re open to it I would highly recommend Brian’s school. I’m in it and you really do learn a lot plus with Brian’s personality you know it will be fun too. It’s really nice to have access to Brian when you have questions and maybe the class is something you and your son in law can do together.
I just got into bass fishing for my son last year. He’s on the highschool bass fishing team. I went a bought a 90s bass boat and started fixing it up. Right now with some of the tips I’ve learned off your channel we’re in the running for state. I hope we can close out the season with a win.
B.Latt, I got into fishing about 4 years ago because my family went on a river rafting trip down the Salmon River in Idaho and my parents bought us fly setups to use down the river (7-day trip). Once I realized I wasn’t good at that I got with my buddy who bass fished and he gave me some advice and started watching videos, and came across your videos. You’ve been one of my #1 goto’s for videos ever since and the top reason is your humbleness! I appreciate what you put out and how you do it! Thank you!
I'm going to be honest with you. if your video was an hour long, I would still watch it. I have enjoyed all of your video's maybe because you just talk about whatever you want to, about fishing. I personally think you're a down to earth person, honest, a good father and husband, Have a great season.

What do you think about scented baits vs additives? Also what do you mean by nothing to eat in Texas lol ? You want I have a few spots in Dallas, steak houses, viet, Thai, kbbq, soul food, Indian, Korean fried chicken, bbq, stuffed turkey legs sushi/ramen/hot pot dimsum or hand pulled noodles, Cajun crawfish/ oysters or viet Cajun … get lost in the sauce 😂
Started fishing as a kid but have become serious in last five years. So much to learn. I watch RU-vid alot to gain knowledge. Sometimes its information overload. Kind of like any passion. Learn it all while trying to keep it simple seems to be the key. Now Ive gone from kayak angler to my first real life boat and all the electronics. It is a fun adventure in learning and just fun. Trick is to combine the simple and the knowledge. I am the guy that will buy everything if not kept in check. Love the simple and everything having a purpose or leave it at home approach.
I have been at it about 25 years, but really didnt know much more than I picked up just doing it. I also fished primarily creeks/rivers wading. Ive started to fish kayak tournaments the last few years and used a lot of tips picked up from your channel. Shakey head has won me a few now
I’ll see you at Ky lake this year. That’s the only one I got invited to.I was super excited and nervous!Im trying to harness my emotions. Its been hard coming up with the money but we got it.Im 50 I’ve been fishing tournaments for 30+ years. This is my biggest EVER!Looking forward to meeting you.Be safe and good luck B-LAT!
Just started fishing again at 48yrs old because of your videos. I never was bass fishing berfore. Only saltwater fishing 35 years ago. So, now that I identify as a Pro Angler, I need to actually start catching fish 🤣 Keep up the good work Brian.
On Big Sam, find the most overlooked flats you can. Everybody's going to pound the obvious structures like channel swings, points, drop=offs, etc. All the usual places everybody fishes. Todd Driscoll of TPWD has been doing tracking surveys and has found (at least on T-Bend) that 41% of all bass are on top of flats. Find flats with cover, and you have the best chance.
Grew up salt water fishing. Put the rods away about 15 years ago. This channel for the last 3 years made me strictly fish for bass. Never looked back. Love it more now than when I was younger
I definitely fell in love with fishing in tje past two years im so thankful for videos like yours because i still fill so lost on what im doing i actually bought my first bass boat this year my brother and I went halfs
Hey BLat, as an American of African decent, introduced to fishing at a early age by my maternal grandmother, I to reflect on GOD using her to introduce me to fishing every time I get the opportunity to go fishing. Growing up, it was a source of food ( teach a man to fish and ....) She was my gateway to my fortress of solitude and I reflect on the time I no longer have with her to say Thank You and show my love. I show it now to my mom as I have been able to see the roots of where my love for fishing comes from. Thank you for representing all of us who share similar stories (color doesn't matter)! Keep grinding My Brother!
Like your videos! I started back fishing during the Covid lock down .😀Haven’t stopped since . Learned a lot . Joined Bass and watched your videos and many others on how too and techniques!
Give a man a fish, he has a meal for the day…Teach a man/woman to fish they have a meal for life🙏 Brian, I started fishing with my Dad and brothers at 6-7 years old. I have followed your channel since 2017-2018 for a few reasons, but the #1 reason is I witnessed your character in the FLW tournaments, and my son produced their TV Shows and Live Streams,so I was at Forrest Wood Cups and All American Tournaments. I have seen the changes and my son, after 18 years with FLW, left the second year of MLF. I’m still a FAN of you, your channel, your tournament career and now your SUF School. I use a lot of ZMAN products after I went to the Forrest Wood Cup on Lake Murray and met the GSM and I also met Miles Burghoff …… I am so happy for your successes, in both fishing and family. I’m also a musician, and I really appreciate your creativity….. I will definitely continue to support you, your channel and your school. I know that with 200K followers you can reach your students directly and it’s a great idea. No need to reply to me, just feel the energy I am sending 💯🍀🎣🍀😎
I’m new to fishing as and adult as a child I went trout fishing nothing serious but absolutely love it like you said learning the cold front stuff etc but fishing is my peace and brings me closer with the lord keep up the good work 🙌🏻
Absolutely me, been fishing my entire life but for Stripers exclusively in the fall in the shallows on structure. I'm amazing at that, and have considered guiding, but man Bass fishing is another beast entirely.
Wishing you the best this season! Awesome concept with the online school! Thanks for spending a few minutes on the Storyteller, love it and hope to hear more!
I’m in the category that you referred to early in the video. I have relied on a handful of the pros to enhance my fishing experience. I have followed you for the last 5 years and almost all of my finesse knowledge has come from your channel. I watched until the end, because this is how I spend my winters in Michigan. Boat shows, fish and outdoor shows, expanding my arsenal, and looking to learn more from you pro guys on tour. Thanks!
Thanks for all you do BLat. I enjoy your videos so much. Especially the ones where you’re showing what it means to be a dad. Good luck this season. Oh are you coming to guntersville this season? I live in scottsboro AL now and would love to come watch in person
I’m new to bass fishing when I first started watching ur channel i studied the way you fish I’ve listened to everything you talked about it really taught me how to go out in catch fish the only thing I’m guilty of is spending too much money on bait
love to see u and your son.good stuff.i m into fishing up 15 years now. like your way to talk and explaine, nice energy! hi from germany, to you and your fam.
I am in my 60’s and I made it to the end of your video. Good luck on the tournament. That flooded shoreline looks good to me. Jigs, square bills and spinner baits with orange Indiana blades. Excellent RV and boat also. Make us some cool, old school, retro fishing apparel for us old dudes.
Not me I have been fishing/bass fishing my whole life. I started much like you which is why I like your content so much because your story is so relatable to my own. I started out fishing farm ponds from the bank then I got a Jon boat that i carried in the bed of my truck and had to put together at the ramp. Then I started fishing jon boat tournaments on electric only lakes. I met a guy that fished BFL and BASS weekend series. I got my first check in a Jon boat tournament and that same afternoon my buddy called and asked if I would fish as a co-angler the next day because they told him if he had a co angler sign up he wouldn’t draw out boat on boat. So I took my winnings and rushed to lake Oconee to sign up as a no boater. The next day I dropped bombs on them. Back then the co angler could only keep 3 fish but my weight and the boaters weight were combined back then. I ended up with a 3 fish limit of 13lbs and my boater end with 5 fish that weighed 11lbs. After weigh-in they announced that the boaters would be announced after the weigh-in but that the computer was down and co-angler finishes wouldn’t. So I ended up winning but no one really knew and I got my trophy and check in the mail. I took the money from that bass weekend tournament and used it to help buy my first bass boat. I found a 1998 Triton TR-19 with a 175 Johnson on it for $10,000. I negotiated with the seller and got it down to $9,990 lol he only did that because the bank I was getting my loan from told him that by doing it that way he wouldn’t have to pay taxes. My granddad co-signed for my boat and I have been fish and moving up ever since.
Started fishing in a kayak in ‘21 after quitting drinking and haven’t looked back. Thanks for the content and valuable instruction. Good luck this year!!
Love your channel, even though I’m not a bass fisherman anymore. Been married 37 years, and in the last 3 years my wife has discovered she loves fishing!! But not for bass, we love to fish for crappie and bluegill. Delicious!! Love your humble attitude.
Gd’Even’g Bro, I was literally grand fathered in around 1983 by my Grand Father, Jasper County, S.C. w./ cane pole. The property, had a few farm ponds filled with bass OR what they refer to as brim and bowfin aka Mudfish. Always good to see your content, keep the wheels turning…👍🏾
love this video, your very passionate about the sport. I've been getting into a lot of night tournaments in the summer and won 4 last year. I want to make it to your level one day
Nice van, the only thing you have to be careful about it recreational vans/RVs is the warranty is not like a car and there are no lemon laws for the most part.
I'm definitely new to fishing(3 years fishing tournaments), getting my butt kicked. but staying resilient, doing my research, putting my time in, we fish tidal waters so it is very difficult.
Been watching you for 6 monthsish, but im going on 26 and my dad taught me how to fish around 3 or 4 been fishing ever sense but to be conservative ive been fishing for 20 years and been trying to pass my knowledge down to my friends and especially my twin brother who never got into fishing... but wants to now
Thanks brother ,I really enjoy your content, believe it or not it is very helpful ,I'm looking forward to joining your fishing school, we have to support. When first saw the Excite Bite hoodie I knew exactly were you had gotten the idea from, awesome!! Keep up the hard work BLatt.
I’ve only been fishing since 2021. Your channel was one I instantly gravitated towards and made me realize fishing wasn’t something only old red necks did 🤷🏽♂️ One thing I’m still trying to keep up with is the pro circuit. I wanna watch you compete but can’t seem to find when you’ll be on.
Love your videos and all your deep explanations. I own an RV paint shop that specializes in custom painting in sprinter vans. Bring me your van, let me put a custom paint job on it that matches your boat!
Man I grew up going fishing randomly with my dad and grandpa. Mostly for food ie. Crappie, brim and catfish. Absolutely zero bass. My son wanted to bass fish so I've been trying about 6 or 7 years and just don't have the patience or knowledge to. Bought a tackle box of cranks, a worm bag and filled it, and a Buchanan of jigs and such. I've taken my son, a buddy and my son-in-law. Actually have put them on them a few times but I simply don't catch bass
Big Sam can defiantly humble you real quick. It’s my home lake and there’s been many days where I just absolutely struggled to get bit. & Not to sound weird, but I was sitting behind you at Chapala’s (the Mexican restaurant) last Friday night after the first day of the tournament. Been a fan for a while and I wanted to ask for a picture but I didn’t want to interrupt y’all’s meal, especially after a long day of fishing. That’s a sick rig you got man and good luck this year! Go catch em.
One of the best characters in the sport, i havent bass fished in 12 years since i left albuquerque to return to Ireland, but i love the sport, perch in freshwater and wrasse in the sea is the closest we have, i look forward to all your videos
Brian, thanks for showing your rig and bringing us along on your practice! It's cool to see what goes into a tournament week! Good luck this year hope you have a lot of success!!
I live near Lake Hartwell and just got back into Bass Fishing in the last two years. I would love to fish with you if you go fishing and teaching me and showing me how to catch fish on Hartwell. So do you fish with your Fans ?
I was one of those guys back in 2018 when I started watching your channel. I was off work due to knee surgery and had a lot of time on my hands. I didn’t grow up in the fishing world, more so just hunting. Watching you and others on RU-vid fishing channels I’m learning how to be a better bass fishermen. I thank you for that!! This will be my second year in a local bass club. Still have a lot to learn. GOOD LUCK THIS YEAR!!
Bruh I thoroughly enjoy you and your video content. I have been fishing for 61 years. Started lure fishing when my brother and I found a silver spoon with red and black dots on a small country pond. We caught sunfish, warmouth and bass before I lost it to a root we couldn’t see. The one thing I wish you would consider for your tournaments for us have a boat and shore category. Those of us on the shore don’t have a chance. 😉🎣
Buddy, I was on the lake with you but I was fishing the Hobie BOS in the Kayak. I wish I knew you were on the lake too I would have met up with ya. I found them in the shallow buddy, I got 16th in the tournament.
Great video boat!!! A great bass tournament director is retiring around here on Kentucky Lake, Randy Sullivan. So a buddy of mine is starting a new tournament trail called KLAT (Kentucky Lake Anglers Trail) and the first thing I thought of was you. So B’Lat, if your ever on around Kentucky Lake, it would be interesting to see B’Lat fish the KLAT. Come join us. Good luck this year B’Lat 😁👍💯
