You should be more worried about the radiation from it. Do not put the phone near your head, do not pay the phone on your body. Do not sleep with your phone or put it under your pillow like some people do. The radiation is much more of a problem and health concern. All these younger angry people usually sleep with their phones next to them or idiotically put it under their pillow as they sleep. The lithium battery of course has the potential to go bad but that's rare whereas the radiation coming off of the phone is a much bigger issue.

This is serious, and I heard that when your phone gets overly hot, it's being hacked. Probably the reason new phones dont have a sim card or battery we can access ourselves anymore.
Software dev here. In those cases it's because some app is using all of the cpu/GPU. Poor coding, not hacking. On mobile it's usually as solved by force stopping the app and clearing the app cache (on android). That fixes most app issues like poor performance and crashes on android without needing to wipe the app data too. If that doesn't fix it, then it will need an update to fix whatever bug it has. For some reason app caches grow too big and cause poor performance and crashes/issues on some apps because of some bug somewhere.
