I can't remember when I found you, when I was utterly confused when RU-vid recommended you to me. but, I am so happy that RU-vid sent me to you, I love your videos, I only really work near horses and house pets (dogs, cats) and yet I feel like I'd be able to trim a cow because of you! I know you go through a lot in your job, and that not all cows are like this, and I know that you love your job and that all the cows love you for releasing their pain. Thank you for making content, it makes me, and many others, happy!
I watch a lot of medical and vet vlogs and you tube recommended this channel for me where I did think he must have been a vet I quickly realised h was not but I had fallen I love with the landscapes and the energy , so I am now trying to watch all the old vlogs.
You do show some videos, such as the one poor bull that could not stand after leaving the crush, and yes, most of the time the cows are walking better.
Graeme, seeing you maneuver the motorized crush with the controller box reminded me of a little boy who is in heaven after getting a shiny new toy from Santa! I’m really happy that moving the robo-crush into position is a lot safer because accidents are no laughing matter.
Graeme, About your spray bottle breaking: I can't count how many spray bottles that have broken on me just around the house. One thing I've found to eliminate that is using a small garden sprayer that is pressurized with a hand pump on top of the lid then pressing a trigger on the wand releases the pressurized liquid. I have one that holds about a gallon. That may also help cut down on prep time as you don't have to refill it as often.
They are also good for removing wallpaper believe it or not. Score your wallpaper with a rough edged knife but don’t go mad and cut into your plaster. Soak the wall with nearly boiling very soapy water, wait ten minutes soak again wait ten more the paper will nigh on fall off the wall by itself. WARNING be careful around sockets 👍✌️🇬🇧
@@markthompson9914 I did something similar to remove popcorn ceiling texture in a house I bought. Don't go overboard with it as you don't want to get the sheetrock soaked. I add just a couple drops of dishsoap as a surfactant so it will soak into the texture without applying too much water to the sheetrock. I'd go in sections preparing one swath and just before scraping off with a long handled scraper, I'd spray the next. By the time I have the first section scraped, the second section is ready so I spray a 3rd section then scrape the second and so on. It's a little fiddly getting started but once you get a small spot down to the sheetrock, it peels off easily and practically falls off.
@@GraeMatterz U got it mate 👍 they’re bloody handy tool, but u have taught me a new one as I didn’t know it worked for artex as we call it, and I take it u can’t go balls too the wall and soak the hell out of it cos the plasterboard or Sheetrock in your case would sag🍻for swapping tips ✌️🇬🇧
@@MrRyumaru these are milking cows, likely Holstein Friesian cattle breed, who do look slimmer, they are different from many other breeds. They are not bred for their meat, they have been bred for their large milk production, hence the large udders. The UK have different breeds to other places in a the world and also have different lineages and in history have been bred to have these characteristics.
They are definitely walking better. You know what really drives me nuts, is people who haven't a clue about farming or cattle care, winging so much about things they clearly don't understand. You 3 gents are awesome and are such a blessing for those cows and their farmers. God bless from Oregon USA
My favorite bumper sticker was one I saw when I still lived up in Vermont, it said “Don’t complain about farmers with your mouth full”. This was on a co-workers truck who like many dairy farmers ran a farm and had a full time job off the farm.
@@TheBachBabe 88 degrees plus 83% humidity! Dang humidity always gets a person, not the heat! Not surprisingly, few folks own a/c here. I finally ran up the white flag and got myself a small one. Soooo glad I did!! Times, they are a-changin’!
My grandmother just passed away (she never met an animal that didn't just love her immediately, like straight up Disney princess vibes.) I needed a little bit of comfort at this time and strangely Scottish cow hooves being trimmed has done exactly that. Hi Kevin! Hi Craggie boy!
Just found your channel a few weeks ago and loving it! I didn’t even know cows needed their hooves trimmed and now I find myself trying to spot the problem before you tell us what it is. 😂 I think I missed my calling in life!
they were both definitely walking better after their trim than when they entered the crush. You make such a difference in their lives and I'm sure, save many lives by being able to help heal them. I love watching how much you enjoy your work.
GP- im a middle aged city girl..found out about you from The Nomatic Movement channel...never did I ever think id get sucked into watching your work...but i love watching these cows walk away feeling happier!!
I’ve been scared of cows almost my entire life, and when your videos came onto my page I thought “what on earth” but seeing them through your eyes has really changed how I feel about them!
Im so glad Graeme to have been part of the "herd" from way back & seen the evolution of the crushes & changes you've made. One thing remains the same-your ability to care for & heal these sweet cows. 🖤 🐄 🤍 🐂 🤎
It always makes m happy to see farmers that look after their animals like this. The fact you are there is proof they are looking after those ladies. :)
It’s funny to me that I can watch your videos day after day and look forward to seeing new videos from you daily. You do amazing things for these animals. I had a horse ranch for quite a few years and one of the most important things in keeping the horses comfortable and healthy was making sure to keep up on trimming their hoofs. You can really tell you love your job and the cows are lucky to have you. Makes me want to move to Scotland and work for you. Much love from Florida USA
Hoof GP you're definitely doing a good job keeping these girls hooves healthy and taking away their pain. I love the new crush on tracks moving around the farm's where tires just don't work so well. Keep up the good work!
Love that the first cow waited and walked with the 2nd cow as If to encourage her. Love that there is visible proof almost instantly of the relief you provide. Good work!
Job well done with extreme compassion and kindness 🐄💙 thank you for your patience and care to these beautiful cow's 🐄🐄💙💙 God bless 🙏 from the United States of America 🇺🇸🇺🇸
What a great job you did on the white cow at the end you could see from before you trimmed and treated her ailments, she toed out badly. When she comes good a regular trim will keep her in good stead. This is my morning coffee joy watching these trims.
Gait is much more regular after the trim, which means more comfort in the feet. You can definitely still see some tenderness, but that's to be expected with the condition the hooves were in. I spent over a decade as a corrective horse farrier, and I love watching your vids, Grant. Farriers forever, my friend! 😊
I really like the three person team you have. Even though it is possible to trim hooves solo, I have noticed how well GP, Craig and Kevin work together... like a well oiled machine. As someone who isn't in the industry even I know the faster the cows get in and out of the crush and get taken care of the better they are for it and this team is doing a great job at that.
Wow! What an amazing improvement guys! I think those cows were so happy to see you because they didn't appear as aggressive as others do when they enter and exit the crush. And the one seemed to have a strut to her walk, like she was showimg off her new shoes! Love seeing your videos, keep 'em coming!!
Hi, Graham and buds! The platelets do not fight the infection. The platelets are like floating band-aid's. When a breach occurs the "Band-Aid Boys" put up their walls and keep good stuff in and bad stuff out. The WBC's (White Blood Cells) which have at least 5 different "garrisons" that do varying jobs yet all work together to fight the good fight...kill the bad guys! Anyway, I hope the 2 ladies are doing much better and I hope all is well with you, your work bud's and all of your families! God Bless 😃
She is walking better! Thank you Graeme, for making her feel better. Those poor cows would be in a lot of pain if not for you and Craige. I hope that I spelled his name right. I watch you, him, and Sandi Brock. She raises sheep in Canada. I can't wait every time for your new videos Craig's new videos or Sandy's to come out. Thank you and have a great day!
Phenomenal. When technology overcomes real world situations.. The equipment tech might be improving at an amazing rate but the end product is down to guys like you with the skills and experience. 👌
Hi Graham. I'm a horse person, not so much a cow person. I have to let you know that watching what you do is absolutely fascinating! I've not missed a single video since I first saw you. There is a cathartic quality to watching these cows getting their feet done. If I can feel this way just by watching these videos I can only imagine how it makes you fellas feel. Thank you for doing what you do. ❤🐄❤🐄 Pick a job you love and you never work a day in your life!
Graeme am loving the evolution of your crushes to suit the varied farms. The changes are pretty dramatic. Can imagine your joy at a machine which overcomes old problems. Notice many of the cows develop injuries because humankind has bred some old strengths out of these cows seeking optimal milk production. From what you say when cows spend most of their days out away from concrete they seem to suffer fewer hoof problems. Yet despite what “we” have bred out of them you still show us the “cow has begun to heal this by pumping blood to...” which to my way of thinking, like your crushes, they have inherent design which is astounding. Difference is when a crush gets too old it doesn’t heal itself nor reproduce itself like a cow does. The design and engineering in a cow is truly amazing.
The amount of satisfaction I get from watching you help these cows is indescribable. Also after seeing the trouble you've had with this farm's layout in the past, seeing the Wopa just scoot in is amazing.
I’ve been watching for about a month and am beginning to understand the process. At this point I’m really blow away how you are so very precise with such thick material. It’s really amazing.
Dying camera before-after was pretty funny and entertaining :) Dunno why I still like these videos, just watching your knife cut the hoof horn away is mesmerizing somehow.
I'm from a construction and military background. I can't pretend to understand anything about cows beyond a basic knowledge. These videos are both informative and interesting, but above that, I enjoy the end results when a distressed cow shows relief just walking away. It's satisfying and soothing. Thanks!
OH my gosh they are walking instantly so much better.. THANK you so much for your videos and helping these beautiful creatures.. Your passion is evident.!
3:32 to 3:39 that quote….🥺thank you I’ve been struggling with autism and more specifically someone using a very harsh slang for it, that made me feel better I’ve listened to it 3 times now. ❤ Thank you ❤
I’m from the us. Having you talk about celebrating differences is so….refreshing. The news here bums me out and knowing there are peaceful people elsewhere helps. You make great content. Even for people like me who aren’t hoof gps.
I have to say that of all the shows out there similar to the Hoof GP I absolutely LOVE yours the most!!! Im not a farmer or vet. I’m just curious about a lot of things!! I don’t know how you deal with all the poop BUT thank goodness your farmers have you and your team!! Well done! Keep the videos coming!!
Graeme, I’ve been following you for a couple of years now. It’s so wonderful to see not only your channel grow exponentially , but your business as well. It’s obvious that you really care about what you do as well as taking care of your whole family. Glad that you are doing so well. Much love from Raeford North Carolina, USA 🤙🤙
You could definitely see the difference before and after. I really didn’t know it takes 10 months for a cows hoof to grow! They say you learn something new every day! Thanks! 👏👏👏
I don’t know why I like watching your videos - from London farm life seems 1000 miles away. Your videos are both entertaining but also interesting to watch!! Great content!
I love watching your videos because they involve skills i know nothing about (well i know a bit now as watched quite a few!!!) but i enjoy learning new skills not that i would ever trim a cows hoof!!! I’ve been disabled since my lower spine fell apart at the age of 40 (24 years ago). It’s a progressive spine problem and I’ve been in a wheelchair for 4 years now. Your videos fill a big missing piece of my non active life in an interesting and entertaining way. Many thanks, and good wishes to you and yours. 😊👍
I found you maybe... 2 months ish ago now? Idk why but I love watching your videos. They're almost...inspiring in away? Lol I LOVE how you present your video's. It makes me feel like.... if I should survive some worldly apocalypse - I could (SORTA) comfortably add this as to my list of reasons why I should be part of the team. Thank you for all that you do!
I’m not a ferrier. I’m not a farmer. Hell I don’t even live anywhere near a farm. But I subscribed to this channel and love these videos bc I find it fascinating and so satisfying when these babies start walking better!
I can’t believe how much joy I get watching your videos about trimming Cow’s and Bull’s hooves, and I would never want anything to do with farming! But your love for the animals have grown on me, and thank you!!
I love watching this channel and how pleasant it makes me feel. As a nail biter of all my life, I stopped biting my nails three weeks ago because watching this is like therapy. Just picking away at a hoof reminds me of the same sensation as going to town on my finger nails. I think I actually prayed to God recently that I would stop biting my nails, so I guess hoof gp is my alternative. Keep doing what you are doing. Keeping cows and humans comfortable.
TRACKS ARE UNDER RATED! They make such a HUGE difference! It was very weird to me that the cows are kept inside so much of the year because that isn’t what I’m used to but you explained it. Thanks! Also cow care has changed a lot over the last 40 years! Graeme could you let us know the cow ID/name for hooves like the axial wall abscess so we can watch the healing progress? Kind of like 812?
I grew up on a arm and around animals all my life. It's great watching how the animals walk after treatment. You give them relief and what a blessing that is for the cows!
Much much better than before! They are even talking and the one with two pink bandages are saying hey, I have 2, you have one, but hey my feeties are worse!
Interesting info. about your crushes. I love it when you call us 'the herd'! :) Thank you for your good work. And yes, those two gals are walking waaaaay better.
You guys are so compassionate towards these hard working girls...your channel is the BEST...yes both girls ARE walking so much better..thanks for being good to the cows
They are walking better than they walked in. I have utterly no pun intended enjoyed your videos. I am learned so much about herbs. You’ll do amazing work. Thank you for taking care of the animals
The black and white cow was walking much better after your treatment, probably the pressure relief you provided and rubbing of the loose horn helped also..great video !
they are for sure walking better ❤️ can't imagine how much pain they must have been enduring until they got into your good care! always amazes me the difference you guys do for these Gentle creatures 🥰
I am also reminded about the need for family to all work together, by seeing how you've taken your brother in law into the trimming business and while it's a tough job it is a rewarding job. You have to feel you are doing something important every day. Removing pain from any living creature, and sharing your knowledge with all of us, just makes everyone feel a little better about life.
