"It Came True" was written and recorded in June 2005. The song is deeply personal and tells the story of how children can be the thing that saves us. The hope and love expressed in their faces can the thing that pulls you out of the depths of depression. At that time, songs were flowing out of me like a faucet. My youngest son was only a couple months old at the time. It's a very long story about why I hid my home life from everyone. I hid in the one outlet I could rely on... music. Writing about the horrible situation I found myself in was my coping mechanism and my therapy.
My heart belonged to my little baby boy. Then the wildest thing occurred... I went from no kids to 3 of my kids and a stepson in less than a year. My oldest son came into the picture followed by my daughter finding me. She was put up for adoption at birth, but always knew she would find me. This song is a salvation song. My love for these kids helped me get through some difficult times. Keep your heart open for love.
I am thrilled that I was able to resurrect this song. Thanks to the ability to separate the vocal track from the instruments from an old .WAV file, I was able to correct the things that prevented me from releasing this album. ~William
