New laws to ensure the police have the powers they need to manage the dangerous and highly disruptive tactics used by some protestors were set out in today's Queen’s Speech.
We are joined by Insulate Britain's Liam Norton who claims, 'These new laws are a waste of time - we will continue to make noise and protest until we are heard. Go ahead and get tough but it is pointless. We need to be extreme otherwise nobody will listen to our message.' As well as Dominique Samuels who argues that police should have more power to stop 'eco-terrorists'.

Liam says he can’t afford this can’t afford that, what I suggest Liam instead of going on tv being interviewed and forcing your opinions on others you go and get a job then you might be able to afford the things you claim to struggle with,for every so called scientist who say we have a global warming crisis another so called scientist says we haven’t , the latest is that London is heading towards the same summer climate as Barcelona , hell man you would think the Londoner’s would be in the street shouting bring it on now we don’t have to go to Barcelona on holidays😂

The goals of these groups are goals I ABSOLUTELY support and I think a lot of the country would, BUT the methods they use are so f***ed up. Also do these groups realise how much of our daily lives rely on fossil fuels, not just for energy, but in the manufacturing, transport, repair and maintenance of pretty much EVERYTHING we use to live our lives, clothes, technology, food etc ALL rely on fossil fuels in some capacity so to just suddenly stop using it would be utterly disastrous for us.

Stop asking if he’s insulated his home when he obviously can’t afford too and he says he rents so it’s not even up to him. The uk needs to stop protecting their old houses that are not energy efficient, tear them down and build properly insulated homes with proper windows and proper furnaces.

Our house is insulated AND it's old. You don't need to tear down old houses, that's a massive waste of resources, and Britain already has a housing shortage. Old houses simply need to be renovated. Britain has some of the best builders and architects in the world, they could certainly bring old houses up to modern building codes.

There's actually a massive environmental cost to tearing down old buildings and building new. Where does the debris go? It's irresponsible and sickening to call for this
