Braith has the same thought I had. Teddy has to play that ball support role and leave the halves to do the ball playing plays. Teddys always wants to be that 2nd ball player where his strengths lay at that backdoor link and deal with that overlap. Also to support his ball carriers where he can just dart off and break tackles
As a NSW fan I’ll be cheering, Freddy has had one of the greatest players to pick from and he always stuffs it up one way or another. Terrible picks, terrible game plan, terrible coach.
@@AssyrianKing98but with saying that as a NSW fan, who do you replace him with? Ricky Stuart didn’t do too good during his stint, Craig Bellamy as well. Who do you go to after Freddy? Joey is part of his coaching staff already. An option would be Dez Hasler maybe? But I don’t see that happening.
Teddy has lost a step but can still play a good game and has huge presence as a Captain but I don't see him playing Origin next year Win or Loss. Anyway, why is Braith talking a lot? Isn't he suppose to just ask the questions 🤔😅
New south wales needs a coach who is as passionate about origin as Queenslanders are, and the only name I can come up with is Ricky Stuart, but as a raiders supporter it hurts to say this, because he is an excellent club coach and we as a club would hate to lose him, but n.s.w could use his passion right now
I agree with Braith. If they wanna start hard n fast ya gotta start with Martin Frizzy and Murray. Put Yeo n co on off the bench when there’s ball playing to be done. I reckon start Reece Robson as well let him get stuck in straight off the bat.
Api... fed the ball to his old Penrith team mates in the first game. It was instinctive. I watched Teddy throw his hands up on a couple of occasions.. won't happen with Moses.
There you have it. Clint Gutherson would have done a better job than Turbo and Tedesco combined. Freddy picked the wrong team last and the wrong team this year.
The difference is half of NSW players pledge for their home countries Samoa / Tonga. Our Samoan players all pledged for Kangaroos. Grateful to Australia and proud to their state. You tell me who carries more pride?
Got nothing to do with it. All the islander boys in the blues are all proud western sydney boys they're no different to the qld ones with their pride and where they're from. GTFOH with that. Typical inbred qlder.
@@gengarpokemon7731 It does as far as im concerned only players who play for australia should play state of origin. half the tongan team has never even lived in tonga
They have made a career out of thinking & acting like they know the game inside & out BETTER than players & coaches who have been involved in the game for literally their whole lives. Paul Kent is a prime example. At least on this current panel, Gordie & Braith can speak on these topics from personal experience ☝️😁
As a Queensland supporter, you can tell NSW has no faith, look how long Laurey Dalley coached the NSW and lost multiple times, and he wasn't on the chopping block.
Origin players - IMO have something that some players JUST DONT HAVE. That means when it feels like its all gone to hell, they stay in the fight, they have the aggression to absorb and return fire, not in key moments BUT IN EVERY MOMENT. With a visible distaste for there opponents, becuase is not about competing in origin its about winning. (Latrel mitchel is one of the finest examples of this in the current NSW stock) doesnt matter if he is competing well HE IS TRYING TO WIN EVERY DAMN MOMENT!!!! Every tackle, every run, every push and shove or.verbal trade he is fighting to win. Qld have as a unit far more players of this mould. Munster, collins, gilbert, hunt, carrigan, tino, cotter. We need to look at qualities that arent alwys seen in highlight reels. We need to assses based on charcter rather then skill sometimes. We need to STOP BRINGING DOGS TO A FIGHT...WHEN THERES NO FIGHT IN OUR DOGS!!!! Jake t Graham Gutherson Siafiti 1 and 2 Hynes Reynolds RcG😊 Garrick Staggs Drinkwater Tavita totola Kolomatangi Toupinua W. Graham Klemmer Hetherington Walker Fall into a category of players who i consider may not be as talented or skIlled as others but warrant consideration for selection given the performce of the so called best of the best selected. I missed seeing latrel Mitchell out there, not becuase i think we would have won we wouldnt have, but atleast stomaching the lose abit better seeing someone show cases qualities that you can be proud of. Tedesco looks deflated and confused, Cam is utilised on bench more then in the game. Yeo is skillfull but toothless without bite, wosrt of all the coach was OUT PLAYED TACTICALLY by not the qld spirit but in slaters ability to see GLARING weaknesses in the line up of YES very talented skillful players who when thrown into origin against players who have that something that you cant always see have, well you only have to watch last nights replays to see what happens..... Id be putting out a SOS call to jack whighton to consider hos retirment, to help salvage some pride, becuase if we lose im a series white wash, the implications and possible projection for the next oh i dont know 6 YEARS should be extremely concerning for anyone who bleeds blue as i do.
So what, if a player gets a head knock, he's not allowed to run for a week? Fair enough, put him on light duties, but surely he could run laps of the oval, passing practice and so on. With all respect to player welfare, that's ridiculous. What idiot made this rule?
The NSW Blues without a single doubt in my mind; after the hype and hysteria about Adelaide game 1 whoever wins will win Origin 2023, had given their desperate all to win but not good enough. Imagine if Queensland had its best, the score could be different; a hooker playing out of place and so as lock, centre on the wing etcetera etceteras while NSW was on their specialist positions and, and, 12 against 13 for 10 minutes, and, and, 12 scored 2 tries to 13 none! Still ring true in ears Paul Gallen calling the Queensland team the worst but, but…! Queensland Maroons and peoples of the state are just humbled proud QUEENSLANDERS!
Slater is way too smart for the Fitler... Todays game is way different from the 90'... Please Blues Win... For freddy, for Johns and Brandy... Who knows... 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️
It should be. Freddy has been underwhelming. Too many club combinations that haven’t worked out. Pick the best players in form. In his tenure Qld have been ripe for the picking and Fitler as well as Alexander’s input have kept the door open. Move on.
Freddy's gonna be unemployable after this And it will end the origin careers of Mitchell Moses, James Tedesco, Jarome Luai, Issah Yeo, Stephen Crichton, Junior Paulo, Tyson Frizell, Hudson Young & Possibly Brian To'o
Sharon woods and the pom form the roosters get the two racist in from the NRL to report on the game. Lateral Mitchell is the best fullback in the game Joey Manu is better then Tedesco and kylan poga is better the hammer is better than Tedesco high Hitler fox 🦊.
They need to change it. Allow NZL players to play for NSW, and for Queensland allow all players from nations above the QLD boarder. 40% of the NRL players are Polynesians. It has to change.
You are kidding yourself, NSW fans literally watched every series during the 8 year dynasty with passion growing every year. Maybe it’s how you would be if the roles were reversed but don’t pass your disloyalty onto NSW.
@@bigbusta2214 No. The teams are already filled with Polynesian players. I just thing something needs to change with NZ and Tonga players. Australia is allowed to pick origin players, Samoa is allowed to pick Origin players, Fiji is allowed to pick Origin players. Yet NZ is not allowed to pick Origin players for international. Makes no sense, it's unjustly nerfing NZ. Allow them to play if they are living in Australia. Play for the state you grew up in.
