Part 2 of our long weekend getaway in Flagstaff Arizona!
We ended up camping at Woody Mountain Campground for the weekend; camping in our ‪@GFC‬ v2 Camper on a 5ft bed Nissan Frontier! ‪@Nissan‬

That Reese's Smore is a hell of an idea 😀 Glad you found some somewhat cooler weather. Couldn't imagine camping near Vegas right now. I've been enjoying the 70's and 80's weather here in MN this summer, but looks like we're getting 100º later this week too. 🤷‍♂

So good man! I like it better than Hersey chocolate Smores! And those temps sounds great! Alaska was pretty good to us temperature wise, we've been seeing this record breaking heat around the continental US these days, cant wait for the desert winter! lol

What is your shower setup?

For campgrounds that have showers we usually use their facilities on site to take a shower but if we are dispersed camping, I have this solar shower bag (amzn.to/43Ox2qD) that we bring (simple/cheap nothing fancy) which we hang off the truck and then use our Privacy (Bathroom) tent to shower in.

I liked your S’mores results. How did the iron work? Would you do anything differently?

I should have sprayed it with some oil first before putting the smore in, luckily I had it coated previously so it didnt stick too bad but I did get a little bit of marshmallow on the cast iron. I also dont think you need to heat it first either, if you put the smore in and then put the cast iron over the fire, as the cast iron heats itll start heating the marshmallow as well without burning the graham cracker first

We always get sad when we have to pack up 😢. Thank you for the update on the Thermacell! Couple little things we have and love - Personal fans you wear around your neck. The ones that have adjustable/flexable arms are our favorite. For dishes, we picked a trick from the YT channel OneAdVanture is a 1/2 gallon weed pump spray bottle for doing dishes. It's so amazing! We got one from Walmart and use it to wash our hands, dishes and could even use it to assist in the shower while off grid. Thank you for showing us all those cool spots. One day we'll get out that way. We were in a restaurant in Vegas and noticed a waitress using one of those personal fans around her neck! I didnt realize what it was at first because they looked like headphones lol but they looked super handy and kept her cool! Looks like it would be a great addition for camp! And I have heard about those weed pump sprays, I actually had one sitting in my amazon wish list! Is there a particular brand you guys use and like? We will definitely let you know when we make our way toward the EasT Coast! It will eventually happen!! Thanks for watching Mark & Teresa!
