Hey, my name is Kaden and I'm the one man show behind this channel. I was born and raised in Alaska and in August 2020, my wife and I decided to move/drive across the country to the DESERT to explore new roads, camp, hike and fish all around Southern Nevada (and frequently across state lines)! I do everything from Camping, Camp Cooking, Overlanding, Gear Reviews, and pretty much "Anything Outdoors"!
I've been making entertaining and instructional videos now on RU-vid for over a year in hopes that it will inspire others to get out and explore their own backyard. The Overlanding space can be pretty intimidating (at least from a lot of the larger creators out there) so I hope to bring a chill, laid back, anyone can get out (with whatever vehicle they have) vibe to have a great time outside, relax, and RECHARGE from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
Follow my adventure as I explore and camp around Nevada!
You drinking that bud light Platinum again? 😅 Really cool place out there. You guys were there when it was quiet. Usually there are all kinds of SxS's, Atv's, dirtbikes, and maniacs who rent muscle cars and take them out on the dry lake. I camped out there a couple of years ago in September. In the afternoon it went from "dry lake" to "lake" all sorts of motor homes got stuck out there. Never thought about going out there for a full moon rise, really good idea!
One thing about Jean...alot of it gets everywhere and comes home with you. Been planning a camp out there for a while. Always go for meteor showers and beers. Oh and pro tip for the spam can, stab the bottom when you flip it over there will be no vacuum and the spam will fall out easy.
For sure man! I had to clean my shoes, spray the truck off and most of our gear after this trip lol that sand gets everywhere! I'm really wanting to buy a telescope after this trip lol the star gazing is great out there! Thanks for the Spam can suggestion! My uncle showed me that a longggg time ago and i just forget about it, i'm going to do that next time though, Cheers man!
Recently subbed to your channel. Enjoying your content and cooking. I’m more of a weekenderlander vs overlander bc I don’t have the funds for the fancy equipment. Question… do you pack anything for camp security? Handgun? Shotgun? I definitely pack when I go weekenderlanding.
Nice video. I’ve been thinking about doing a trip and video myself in the Nevada area. It’s nice to see some trips that have already been done there. Looks like a cool area God bless.👍🏽
There is a ton of dispersed camping in the area! If wait until it cools off to do a trip but it’s a great area 👌🏽 I’ve pretty much camped 1-4 hours around vegas check the channel out if u want to see more options around the area, cheers!
Agreed! I followed a recipe and will need to ask my mom or grandma for what they normally do bec that’s how I like it as well more vinegar haha thanks for watching!
Interesting video. I have a telescope that I inherited from my dad. It's been sitting in my garage for 15 years, until I finally got it out and learned to set it up recently. This looks like it might be a good place to take the telescope for a viewing session away from the lights of Las Vegas.
I actually started looking at telescopes after this trip bec I really wish we had one out here! lol this would be a good place near town to see the stars u do get some light from town but for how accessible this place is and how close it’s not that bad your still surrounded by desert 👌🏽
Do you think you will try to upgrade your tent to the V2Pro or are you happy with the current setup? Also, please be careful moving desert tortoises If they are scared they urinate and then they die of dehydration
Right now I’ll probably stick to what I have but if GFC offered me a free upgrade then I’d take it lol And yes we did carefully move him off the road he didn’t ruínate or anything. Thanks for watching! 🤙🏽
That ramen packaging is deceiving. At first glance it looks like a kids treat. My wife and I will go to the other lake bed on the other side of the mountains. Eldorado canyon, it’s a 15 minute drive for us and spend the weekend with the dogs for a quick camping staycation. You definitely cook up some good food. That breakfast was enough for a group of four to six. Left overs for later. lol. Can’t wait for the Colorado videos.
Thats awesome! i've driven around the Eldorado mountains before, great area. Good food at camp is the best part of camping :) We defintiely chowed down on the leftovers the next day! lol the first part of the Colorado trip is coming out this weekend! Stay tuned, thanks for watching!
Just a heads up, but I’m pretty sure that is an oleander bush at your campsite. It looks like you put the flowers on your dog’s collar. Oleander is highly toxic to dogs and cause death. Be careful out there.
The Pioneer Saloon is a cool place, good food too! Like your new added feature....the sink. Just seems like a lot more work to keeping it clean, viruses the 5 gallon water jug and spout. To each his own I guess? I feel for you, with the hot and spicy 🔥 ramen 🍜 you guys ate 🥵 been there done that! Now your breakfast 🍳 on the other hand....well that looked good and probably tasted delicious! 😋 As usual you made me hungry. 😆 Very good, chef Kaden!! 👍 So when is your Colorado trip coming up? Where and what's on your itinerary? As always, happy trails to you and your family! ✌️
Very true! The sink requires a bit more work to keep it clean up vs our old setup of just the 5 Gal and collapsible bucket. The ramen was for sure spicy lol but I really liked the flavor! We are back from CO now and the first video of this trip comes out this Sunday so stay tuned :) We go from Vegas > Cortez > Telluride > Ridgeway > Ouray > Silverton > Durango and Pagosa Springs! Thanks for watching Phyllis!
@@Kadenventures Very cool 😎 you made it back home safely! Can't wait to see where you guys have been! Stay cool, cuz you're now back home where it's hot!! 🥵 😆
Man! we just left CO after a 10 day trip out there! Great way to escape the heat lol Hopfully we can get a trip together sometime when your in the area next and hopefully its not 100 degrees out lol Thanks for watching Bryan!
