I just stumble upon this video. I'm currently working towards my IT certification and this video is great. I hope you will continue to do these videos. Again, thank you for the upload.
Thank you. This is realy good videos for someone starting or trying to get into IT industry. I benefited alot watching your vidoes, very clear explanations.
Got a question about the new hire ticket. Wouldn't the company tell you to add the person to a security group first before doing security permissions, rather than giving that individual user access to the share drive?
It depends on the company. If the folder has no security groups on it than you would make one for it. If there a group available, you would just add them to it with approval.
Thanks Kev this is so helpful. I am an aspiring IT newbie, my target is to land a help desk/ IT support job. Already taking up the Active Directory Course on Udemy. Also following your videos and Professor Messer as well. How far do you think I can get to within 5 to 6 moths?
hard to answer that question because it really depends on your resume and luck pretty much. I seen someone get a job in 3 months with no experience like I seen someone get a job after 10 months. It really depends on the person and their resume.
Kevtech IT Support Great. I had some experience as a volunteer with a telecommunication company some years back helping people troubleshoot basic computer issues.
most jobs require you to know both. Unless you plan on working as a field technician or pc tech. Most jobs require you to know both in order to get an entry level job. That's why I go over it in some of my videos.
Dude there’s an awesome Udemy course that will show you pretty much the basics. Just learn what AD does/is and be able to speak about it intelligently in interviews and you’ll be good to go ☺️
I have a video in 365 already with Danish on his channel. Please look at that video. We have a video on 365 regarding active directory. Nothing on event logs but definitely on 365 and active directory.
