It Gets WORSE For Hikaru... | Oshi No Ko Chapter 140 Review 

The worst part about Airi is that she had being doing it for years. So in the movie that toddler Taiki is most likely 3 years old and in chapter 96 Akane said that Hikaru fathered through statutory rape at 11. So the chapter is Hikaru at 15. The abuse most likely occurred even earlier than that, it's just that messed up it was. When I saw the raws on Saturday I literally said WTF out loud. Just remember Aka has shown "that" type of stuff in Love is War. Still, even in the "acting" by Frill, you can see the sadism and control in Airi's eyes. I will keep saying this, Hikaru is a monster, but it took other monsters like Airi to make him that way. Even with Hikaru you can tell that Ai and Hikaru bond through their similar "weird" personalities and now bonding through their "lies" because lies are what protect them from cracking under the pressure. Both of them were abused as children and now they "bond" through their coping mechanism of lying. We'll most likely see even more messed up stuff next week.

The relationship between Ai and Hikaru is so cute to me, Ai could have defended and comforted Hikaru from Airi's monstrosity molested. If Airi didn't molest Hikaru? Hikari and Ai would be a perfect couple, a better father, and have beautiful kids like them.

It sucks seeing how much of a cute couple Ai and Hikaru seemed. Damn it now I want an AU where they live happily as a family with Aqua and Ruby! 😭

I don't think Hikaru killed Ai. They got along too well. Ai trusted him enough to have kids with him. He even visits her grave regularly. You don't do that for someone you had a murderous falling out with.

You were right Airi really is the monster it her fault that hikaru is so messed up in the head he was just a kid and what Airi did to him was unforgettable

My thoughts: Hikaru is doing all his Ted Bundy shit in twisted honor of Ai. Not because he hates her. They never had a falling out. I have a feeling he was one of the few people who actually saw and _loved_ the real her. And that spooked Ai a bit so they "broke" up so she can think about it/give birth in peace. When Ai called him to come meet their kids? He was probably excited to do so on the other end of the line. But then Ai got murdered. And that sent him spiraling. Aqua thinks Hikaru was the one who fed Ryousuke the info. But maybe that was someone else? Or Ryousuke genuinely found that out himself through simple, faithful stalking of Ai? Ryousuke also died soon after killing Ai. Maybe Ryousuke was actually killed by Hikaru? Maybe after being fed info about the guy by the real mastermind?

Taki was born when Hikaru was 11… which means it started at 10 maybe earlier

Airi is the one who groomed Hikaru from a Tootsie Pop to a Jawbreaker. But Ai is the one who found out how many licks it took to get to the center.

So technically Hikaru isn't the main villain it's Airi. She basically started Hikaru dark path

Happy Valentine's, too. My takeaways from this chapter: 1. Hikaru and Ai's faces when looking at the bill are quite a laugh XD 2. Frill's snake eyes does wonders on "that scene". Having a lady with those eyes staring down at you while doing it with you is a bit terrifying... 3. Yay, no breaks!!! *I am always on the lookout at a Japanese site for early access leaks (Nihongo skills paying off, it seems) so I can at least get an idea what the next chapter will be...

I wonder why Hikaru would kill Ai at this point, where their story is rn makes them seem like good friends. Like is it because of *the fact they make children later in the timeline* that set him off because of trauma/PTSD from Airi?

I think the most realistic one is that Airi did something to hikaru in the past that made him kill Ai

One thing am wondering about Hikaru is whether he was constantly abused by his parents for his looks or were his parents actors themselves and Hikaru couldn’t tell that if they actually loved him or not. Speaking of Hikaru Parents, are they still alive and or Old as Hello now.? Or did they something happen to them when Hikaru was a Child that caused him to be by himself.

Oh bro I definitely agree with you Zephyr, Airi definitely messed up Hikaru emotionally and mentally and the more of his backstory we get along with his history with Ai, the more I feel sorry for him and the more I find it hard to believe that he would have her murdered😢 it definitely feels like he's been set up you know maybe Airi did survive and faked her death or maybe someone close to her has a grudge against him and had him set up because if there's one thing like I said I learned from Naruto is that there's always bigger boss behind the other bosses because like I said it kind of feels like someone is setting Taiki, Aqua and Ruby to go up against their dad Hikaru. 😞 But thank you Zephyr for reviewing chapter 140 of Oshi No Ko and keep up the great work as always and have a Happy Valentine's day bro. ☺️👍

Finally we have the origin story of Hikaru, one of the last secret of Oshi no Ko is solved Last night, i thought to an other secret: Ai's records, which in my opinion are linked to Hikaru I made this theory : i think Aqua will insert the records in the movie First, remember the flashforward in the prologue, interview 9 is about Ai recording a message for the twins. She recorded others messages and gave them to Gotanda, who gave them to Aqua. He watched them, and maybe he used them to prepare the movie. Then, remember chapter 110 when Kaburagi didn't want make the movie because he thought about the risks. Aqua replied saying he had evidence, and the person who said this was none other than Ai herself We know that all the flashforwards are linked to the movie, and maybe in Ai's records there is the evidence to stop Hikaru once and for all

My thoughts are that Airi fed the killer info about her pregnancy, where Ai lived, and she's the one that killed her. But... They've mentioned lookism a few times in the last few chapters. Looks might cause us to miss the killer, because we can't believe someone that beautiful would kill someone.

This chapter just made me wonder if Hikaru truly orchestrated Ai's death if she's the only one who understands him. Maybe they'll be a plot twist after this that he might not be responsible for Ai's death although he is insane but we'll see...

This is what we needed all along from oshi no ko . It is genius we are seeing this story as a movie . Frill snake eyes really help to protay airi emotion and aqua , ruby are good at actimg especially ruby with her hardwork . I wonder how it will affect aqua 's emotions towards real hikaru and will he take a step forward in his revenge. Let's see what happens next . 👋

Villains aren't born, they're made. So far we're seeing the build up to him becoming a villain, but I'm curious to see what pushes him over the edge, and why he's so invested in killing up and coming stars. Also nice that we now have clarity that the eyes represent people with lies/secrets that define who they are.

Interesting tidbit. When Akane was profiling Ai, she said that Ai would walk in long strides. Well the panel @ 2:33 has Ai drawn taking long strides

Aqua and Ruby’s acting is so good for a second you think this is a flashback off AI and Hikaru that is some good acting right there. If the acting is so good at that makes you think it is flashback band that deserves the Oscar

I’m sure there is going to be some type of plot twist to this, but if Hikaru killed Ai out of his own volition then I don’t think he killed her because he hated her. I mean something probably happened later on, but as of right now what if Hikaru killed Ai because he loved her. Like in his mind there was an image of Ai that he had to protect and Ai could never change from that. So in order to preserve that image of her, he had to kill her. Because to him Ai will always remain the same, she’ll never get older and no one could ever replace her. Of course that is just my two cents but I would love to hear your thoughts on it.

My theory is When they were in a relationship ai tells hikiaru that she was never able to love someone but then says that she definitely loves him but he got suspicious of her so he started to investigation and found out that ai actually never loved him tho he loved her . He wanted revenge so he told one of ai’s fan’s and told that everything she says is a lie . The fan got mad and wanted to k!ll her . And that’s my theory

I have a weird theory? What if Hikaru is also reincarnate? And that he actually targeted Airi and Ai to have them give birth to his children for some motive of the eye powers. We know they were considering the best talent in their career and be the best choices to have his children. And then kill then off for their powers or not leaving evidence. So that would make Airi (though still a horrible person but was consensual) Ai victims from the beginning. And would be a completely different perspective that Hikaru action, wouldn’t was a bad person from the beginning. Probably not true but not impossible giving what we know is possible in this world.
