Did he miss 50% of the games he was scheduled to play? YES, he did! Therefore: max deal/2 = 25 mil $, factor in his previous accolades and add 5-10 mil. The max offer should have been: 30-35 mil a year - 100 mil for 3 years. The worst part about Kawhi getting injured is not him getting hurt in the first place. Irreversibly damaged knee and bad luck, can't blame the guy for that. BUT his recovery time AND ALWAYS UNCLEAR TIMELINE OF RETURN make him a headache for anyone involved. How is he getting away with that for a decade now?! Why is his recovery process ALWAYS different to players with similar injuries? Why is him being day to day something between actual day to day and MONTHS being off the coart? It is NEVER CLEAR what Kawhi's health status actually is and HE FAILS HIS TEAMS miserably at being trasparent- which by the way he is contractually obligated to do!

Thank god I’m no longer supporting the Clippers. I’ve been a PG fan since I started watching in the 2013 playoffs. The amount of times Clippers fans would blame PG for the lack of success was getting on my nerves, and it actually made me not support them for the last year PG was there. I know he had his shortcomings, but these fans would never say anything negative about Kawhi. I wish the best of luck to the franchise.
