It doesn't look good, but it is actually good, and he buys it intelligently. Unfortunately it's not a cheat code. You need to commit heavily to pumping it up quickly by throwing dookie if you want to get benefit out of it

Bloating the deck for +2 chips per card is actually worse than ignoring the blue joker entirely. He needed more Xmult and skipped over a blackboard when that might have saved the run

In fairness, that is viable. Negative blue is just giving a flat, normal, good buff to score. Adding cards to make that biff slightly better isn't really worth diluting your card pool of good cards.

The only scenarios in which bloating your deck makes sense are with hologram, or with the combo of marble + stone joker, or copying a specific high value card with DNA. Picking up certificate for a few rounds to get a few seals is also reasonable. Otherwise, thinning is winning in Balatro

The cost of having more kids is diminishing in the economy of scale of child rearing. One kid eats up most of your time, a second kid eats up like 5% more of your time. The optimal play is to pay people to have like 30 kids at the same time. We call them teachers.

A cool punishment would be if someone is rude , the balatro score at the end of the run is how long he gets banned. It gets multed by the harshness of the comment too. Like "thats an x3". You know NL is gonna lock in and PB on that one. 🤣
