IT in Spanish, is "LO" the correct translation?

It, the most tricky personal pronoun. Many students learn with repetition one of the translations but it is common that they don’t realice or understand how to really use it.
It seems simple as it is a short word but to use it correctly in Spanish you have to comprehend grammar, that’s the best way. Watch this video and stop using “LO" for every time you want to say “it"

What about "eso" can it be used for, "it" and "that"?

I believe eso is used for that when the thing it refers to isn't present or you don't know the gender.

It should be masculine not feminine? But "idea" in Spanish is feminine no?

Idea is feminine because it ends with A.
