Sean J Vincent and Dan Peters compare the SSL BUS COMPRESSOR 2 AND THE BRAINWORX TOWNHOUSE BUS COMPRESSOR. Get the SSL here: store.solidsta... Get the Townhouse here: www.plugin-all...
You have to know..when and where to use the Diffrenct SSL Comps ITB...at different Points in the Mix Drum and Baseline Bus Time P L Bus Comp and Cupwise Nebula 4K Comp Mixbus...Cupwise 9K nebula Comp Masterbus....Alex B's Pres Colors and Saturation on SSL High Drive (Nebula Pre Amps) with bx Townhomse Comp 4:1, .3 Release, Attack 30....
For real i find the town house sounding good but i use it so gently the compression stages are different as it was model from a rare type vca ssl bus comp. But ssl native bus comp does have that character that ssl bus comp has but they really didn't put in the effort to add some of that anolog weight to thier vst like the townhouse version. Bx really stapple the town house plugin. Both has its place, am grateful for both.
NOOOO! No lower case? 😂 Said it a lot….we do reviews not demos. Too many variables…download a trial and test for yourself! RU-vid audio will skew your opinion and do you really need to hear some crappy copyright free loop stuffed through another plugin? 😂😂🙄
@@StudioLife101 honestly, I'd never seen this channel until today, so there's no way to know. With words like "Face Off" and "Compare" in the description, I absolutely expected to hear examples as I started clicking ahead to skip the talking. Went back and forth clicking a few times thinking "did I miss it? where's the comparison?" Yes, loops suck, and there are those variables + YT degradation. But I still trust my own ears over half the opinions people give after the demo on their videos! P.S. I did download the demo. But apparently I had activated one sometime in the past (I think I installed the SSL bus when I got my UF-8, but ended up slammed that week and never even got to open it), so I'm stuck with crappy loops and a quickly expiring sale until SSL answers my email and gives me a demo license. 😛 Sorry for the annoyed reaction! As usual, I'm slammed, and playing catch up. Plus the SSL never comes on sale.
@@MaximumLevelAudio-BrianKnop No worries…The SSL bundle is on sale now….£49 for the channel strip 2 and the bus comp 2. Bargain I reckon….appreciate the reply. Hope you stick around 👍
I've been eating for the bundle of the channel strip 2 and bus comp to go on sale for months now, check most days but nothing. quite interested in a UC1 but need a generic midi mode so I can control brainwork plugins with it lol
On Masterbus...this gives you the best Punch on your Kick..and smoothing out the High End in my opinion compared to the Native SSL Bus Comp 2, Slate Digital Grey, Waves SSL G Comp or UAD G Comp...I think the Townhouse smokes them on masterbus
I have to alter my Statement on these...."in the is this shit spirit" LOL....townhouse...comp sounds the best in mastering situations in a DAW to me......but...on Tracks....SSL G Comp might be better because its more transparent....so they are really not comparible...one is open and clear for buses...and the other one is Harmonically Distorted about 15%.....
@@HollerAtcherBoi Ill say this...the Tim P sounds good on Drum Bus.... But the Townhouse sounds better on masterbus to me.....at this point and these are mixes...mixed down with Nebula....with my live vocals and added then ran through my own analog gear.....but....on final mastering the Townhome has a punchier...rounded...snappier sound like my Warm Audio G Comp...ITB.....
in comparasion to other clones and other vca compressors i hate the ssl comppressor the most it has rarely ever sounded great on mix or anything else in comparsion to the townhouse or other compressors the selling point is the looks and the plugin controller and the companies reputation> other wise its not that good thats especially dissapoints seeing its straight from SSL
