When the original Hummer H1 came out, I was plotting the same thing.. was a youngin at the time and even with like 10K down and financed over 10 years (they offerered it), plus insurance would be over $1200 a month (this was the 90s)
Respect for looking after your family dude. I myself have a family and most of my money goes there. But I believe doing the right thing, will one day afford me to buy the toys I’ve wanted for long time. IA.
For the price of $196k, I would definitely expect them to start with a more loaded Gladiator. Doesn’t have the 8.4” Screen, doesn’t have Heated Seats. Still a badass toy!
@@mannyman4103 It has the 7". Pause at 4:38 and its obvious which screen it has. I have a Mojave with the 8.4" screen. This truck definitely has the 7". Gladiators have 3 options. 5", 7", and 8.4".
I mean, $4k for 40” wheels/tires, supercharger $7k, lift $4k, and axles $20k is around $35k. Get a base sport and you can have a 440hp version for $70k. Maybe tune it some more and upgrade the trans and have $80k 500hp version. . These are really awesome builds, but $200k for a Jeep is just F-U money.
@@jeffforbes70 Thete absolutely ZERO billionaires looking to purchase a cheap ass gladiator😒……….this can be had by many upper and middle class buyers! 🤷🏽♂️
You forgot the hellcat motor and trans 65k, plus labor for install. $4k lift I would never buy, that means your getting a dog shit lift. You need Evo lift with king shocks easily 10k+ . Good 40" inch tires run about $550 + tax KMC rims are about $500 so thats $6k rims and tires. I have a Magnuson supercharger the kits plus tax is $7800, not including install, So $10k for supercharger (new spark plugs, upgraded pulley, upgraded belt) Plus you will need upgraded ball joints, bump stops. The prices are legit. You're pricing out a mall cruise with dog shit parts.
The guys who build this vehicle know what their doing. GREAT JOB! I wished I had one. Thanks for the video,it’s great seeing what some people with unique talents can build.
That's really interesting that they use an 8hp75. The 8hp75 is what comes in the Ecodiesel Wrangler/Gladiator. I totally would have figured it would have the 8hp90 that comes in the hellcat. Perhaps he was mistaken🤷
@@jlv3x not sure honestly. The TRX uses an 8hp95, so even more hardcore than the 8hp90 in the Hellcat. Probably specifically because of the heavier platform that would heat the fluid and work the clutches harder, which this Gladiator is nearly a ton heavier than the Challenger/Charger. Who knows.
$198k?... Holy Shit. Beautiful truck, though. I have a '21 Gladiator Rubi in Sarge Green that I want 392 swapped with a manual so badly. One day, maybe!
$90k for a Dodge TRX with more horsepower , better display , more features and similar off road ability. Why would you pay $200k for this. You could have 2 TRXs which seems to be a comparable build.
@@nm-qt2hb Would you prefer a Rubicon-392 and a Gladiator for the same price? I like this super version but the cost tells me a 2-for one is better. It is unique!
That’s nothing. White rock dodge and epic adventure outfitters in Surrey BC have been making 840hp demon gladiators. Good luck getting a hellephant though lol almost 300grand Canadian to get a demonator.
$200K is outrageous for a Jeep even with the Hellcat engine. I get it, labor and parts and blah blah blah but damn, $200K? I guess if I was a millionaire I could somehow justify it but surely there are just as capable high HP offroaders out there for much less.
They did all the suspension components and axle components, I bet they upgraded those as well, not sure what to but at least the HD truck brakes should be sufficient for any speed the tires limit this to both speed wise and traction wise. Now that would be much more important if the tires were swapped for a much better street tire.
196k fyi. Heck of a vehicle thats for sure. Lost me at 196k though. Curious about the steering though, if full hydraulic I thought that was illegal for street use.
If you think 200k is lot of money for this truck thats true ... there is people right now puting 2013 nissans altimaa for 20k who is more crazier the sellers or the buyers?
Me: my mortgage is due Friend: how much do you have left to pay? Me: over $700k left to go. Friend: damn! Must be a big home! Me: uuuuhhhhhh…….. yyyyyyyeah, that’s the mortgage on my Gladiator.
My big issues with this are 1. Its an automatic.... Just why? What's the point if its not a manual. 2. The tire takes up the bed which defeats the point of a truck. Other then that I like it.
Is this a mall crawler though? I always feel like these overpowered Jeeps are not great for overlanding, especially in remote locations. Need to carry tons of fuel
don't forget 392 jl has dana 44.you can buy rubicons axles for 5000. these dana 60 and dana 80 are 20000. they are bolt on axles . should take a good mechanic one day . an average mechanic 2 days
Haha 😂! It doesn’t even have gas mounted struts/shocks on the hood. You don’t even get any kind of bed liner. Then Andre knocks on the part of rock slider, which isn’t even the step and says it’s solid. Then it’s only driven on pavement. BTW Andre, turbocharged engines spool up, not supercharged engines. And then the best part is that they want $200,000 for this piece of crap 💩. At least you got a warranty. That’s the only good thing about it...
