Thank you, my dear! I personally prefer It's a Wonderful World, reason being that there is a superb solo variant on BGG called "It's a Wonderful Alliance, solo drafting variant." It allows you to play an actual multiplayer game solo using at least 1 A.I. with drafting. Works amazingly well and is far better than the official variant.
As a big fan of the base game, I appreciate the differences explained clearly. Looks like I’ll stick with the base game for now and work through the expansions, but good to know what the next version brings
Thanks for the review! I like the game as is, maybe some of this new game could have been packaged as an expansion which then could be fit into one box, idk? But considering shelf space & all, I don't want two such similar games, each w/ their own box so I'm sticking w/ IAWW.
It's a wonderful review:) Thank you for awesome very balanced review. Many reviews I watched or read are favoring IWW. So I totally agree. It's not very relaxing, but closer to a brain burner. One thing I didn't get is the solo draft. The thing is that if you want you don't have to risk at all and take the face-up cards constantly. I'm just not very motivated to draft the other row with face-down cards. These cards are not better. So it is not even high risk - high gain motivation. Ok, the better is very relative to what you need in particular, but if you want you don't have to risk at all. But then soldiers don't make sense. So maybe I would keep score them at the end as well. Anyway, I agree IWK is more sophisticated regarding game mechanics. Maybe too much. Thanks again.
