Definite improvement for functionality and overall better choice of hands. I wanted to get two other Raven Guard, but there's so much coming out I have to limit myself!
As usual, great review ! I really want the beaky one, sooooooo much to buy right now ! Love your obsession with the changes from Joytoy, that is a healthy one ! Those ones are massive for the hands ! A bit worried about the paint from the recent pre orders, they seem to simplify the effects a lot like for this figure... it kinda works for now, but I hope they won't be tempted to cut corners in that department to save money
Oohh yeah, me too. My original plan was to get beaky boy and Nax too, but with so much due I had to swerve slightly. Got Nadael from DA coming in, and I'm pretty sure we'll have Iron hands and Sally's coming in soon on top of everything else! I just put a preorder for Gman and Voldus. Yeah, I hope joytoy put a bit more effort in the paint apps. It worked out for RG but the Salamanders could really use a wash/shading. Cheers buddy
Haha well, once upon a time that was just a normal thing for joytoy. They would have to find a healthy medium in sizing both guns and holster. Otherwise, magnets!
Look ma', I am on RU-vid! (Thanks!) These new hands are awesome, especially the trigger finger ones. Sadly they are not enough for my UM army, despite having made some of them left handed (to reuse all available hands from my Heroes of the Chapter group)! I still think JT should sell hands packs separately to retrofit the mass of old figures some of us (sick people!) may own! Flat black looks nice for raven guard but my general sentiment is negative - weathering, hightlighting, even shading, ... all gone :( BTW New Guilliman looks well done from what I can see - not sure about the re-issued Victrix Guards but I will buy them anyway! And the new GK Grand Master too, RIP my wallet! :D

Yeah I do like the flat black, but I'm still holding out hope that Joytoy will do at least some weathering or shading for DA and especially for IH and Sally's. Yup, I've already preordered Gman and Voldus. That really hurt my wallet!
It's cool to see the little changes JoyToy makes as they expand the 40K line. It's really a marvel of toy engineering just how much articulation these chunky figures can get. Usually these chonky bois don't get anywhere near 90 degrees on their joints, but these guys can take a knee and do all sorts of things you wouldn't expect. I collect figures across a ton of different lines and personally, I think JoyToy is far and above other companies in terms of quality, paint and design. It's still possible to get a stinker every now and then, but for the most part, they're making amazing figures. Just wish they weren't so expensive!
Definitely! I really appreciate Joytoy's attempts to improve on their existing formula. They've done this with their previous lines as well which made me a fan early on. They don't always get it right, but they try! Their one of the main reasons I started this channel. Yeah I wish they were more affordable, but at least they're cheaper than my other obsession, Acid Rain.
I got a few of the Joytoy space marines on a whim as i usually don't got for 1/18 but i was really impressed. I like them even more then the 7" mcfarlane (which are nice but limited) space marines. I now have a whole squad of space wolves and a whole mech depot on my shelf from Joytoy

Yeah, I saw that. They come with the new hands as well. I've got a couple of the previous Victrix already. Preordered Gman and Voldus using one of my own discount codes lol

As long as you got it for a price that's good for you! I'm tempted to get some more Victrix Guard. Even if it's just for the spare hands lol we need a weapons and accessories pack with additional hands
@@SkellywagsTVCouldn't agree more on the accessory pack. Wouldn't mind a few right and left side holster options with/wo guns or even shoulders that add the small shield to them.

@@SkellywagsTV i can add edge highlights by myself, but airbrush, man, kinda pricey thing, but will get in the future. For now i asked my friend to print errant and corvus helmets for my blood veterans, gonna customize bois.
