I think the direction of your fan plays a huge part on cooling imho. I didn’t want to do the whole “fan on device” but I should. Makes more sense than what I am doing
Honestly, it is the best I have had from any ASIC manufacturer. Respond to all my emails, discord, etc. usually within 24 hours. PSU replacement was same day response. The only other ASIC manuf I have had great customer service w/ is Canaan.
as far as I am aware, coupons were given to all those that purchased Batch 1 products (early June) and those that purchased batch 2 products (early July) before they dropped the batch 2 prices.
Hi thanks the video, very informative, btw What fan speed have you set it on KS0?. I have AC infinity S3 120mm fan, however screws wont fit. I just kep it on the side and ran and got 5 degrees reduced. Now 35 and 49 degrees...now way near your temps. ,,,so wondering if the original KS0 fans need to be set at certain speed? Mine is at 70%
If you want to mount the fan you will have to use M3 size screws. For the built-in fans I have them running at 50% with my ambient temp of 70 degrees in the basement.
Thanks, the KS0 holes are sized for M3 screws. Length will depend on the thickness of the fan you mount. This fan is 25mm and the screws are 30mm length
@@motorcityminer awesome 👏 thank you .. I got the AC infinity 120mm USB-A fan, comes with 3 fan speed controller only cost $8 if I remember correctly, comes with grills and rubber isolates, and I also got the one you linked, I’ll have it tomorrow will do some side by side testing! Thanks again.
nice, curious to see how the ac infinity ones do as they are higher quality. i was hesitant on them since they pull beyond the 0.5A max in icerivers docs acinfinity.com/component-cooling/component-usb-fans/multifan-s7-quiet-usb-cooling-fan-dual-120mm/#product-warranty
Hello and thanks for the info! In the Greater Good Mining video the screws he had for the fan were too big to go into the slots on the miner. What size screws did you use if i may ask? Thank you.
hmm, interesting idea. maybe I'll try this USB noctua: www.amazon.com/dp/B07DXLCVVL/?coliid=I2NLDMBX87ZH98&colid=JCG2T37L0RIF&psc=1&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it
Depends on a few things. First don't use extension cord but use surge protectors. 15 KS0 Pro (assuming no overclocks) would be 1500w, this can be accommodated on a single circuit if you have 120V minimum 15A circuit or 240V 15A (not sure where you live) but if 120V you will want to make sure nothing else is on that circuit as 120V 15A circuit can only hold 1800w and you would be right at the 80% rule. It would be better to split the units across 2 circuits if your power is 120V 15A to be safe and allow for other household items to be plugged in safely. If you have 240V you should be fine as long as not much else is plugged in and you don't plug all into a single surge protector.
I am glad that they gave you some nice discounts on future purchases. Do you know how long of a wait you will have before you receive your next order. I think that I might just have to make a purchase myself. Thanks for the power supply and fan info...
My 2nd order said last week June. The 3rd and 4th unit are supposed to ship first week of July. Looks like there are still units available for the 1st week July batch. Might be just enough time before KS3 to get close to ROI
@@motorcityminer So if they ship in the first week of July any idea of the time you would receive one in the US? They want to wire transfer the money to Chong Hing Bank Limited. Does that sound correct? Thanks for all your help answering my dump questions...
haha, no dumb questions. It took about 5 days for DHL to get to me in USA. They ship express so pretty quick even w/ customs once it actually ships out. I can't guarantee they will ship that 1st week of July though. That is up to them and their staffing. I did a crypto payment through their Coinpal checkout so not sure on the wire transfer but would follow the instructions and reach out to them if something doesn't line up. I know when I purchased large order from Octominer, the wire instructions they sent didn't quite align w/ the information my bank requested. each bank is different so you might need to ask them for additional info.
you need an M3 size screw. length will depend on fan width but you'll want at least 5mm longer than fan width. so 25mm width fan get a 30mm+ long M3 screw.
It will be significantly less 1-1.5 years. The Kaspa emission schedule is crazy fast and the KS3s coming late summer/fall will drastically cut into earning as well. I expect KS0 earning to drop significantly in a month or two.
I'm reading on the reddit kaspa but the KS0 will be useless in a few weeks when the KS1, KS2, KS3 come online and push the difficulty sky high So buying a KS0 now for $1,000 delivered probably you'll get back your ROI but almost nothing after Crypto is always a crapshoot
I'm actually putting it (and most my other mini miners) on a tubular shelf so that it gets optimal airflow from below. That way hot air rises through unit. Will have update once I get it setup.
My KS0 Ultra has been JUNK OUT OF THE BOX. Never hashed never worked here.. Went back for repair once, never worked here, after return. They claim it did at the repair shop but never explained what was wrong the first time. It cost $110 to ship it back to Hong Kong, now it could cost another $110 for shipping a second time... Customer service is slow, seems like they are dragging their feet to run out the Warranty period. Iceriver is Garbage.
Sorry to hear about your ordeal. I haven't had any issues w/ any of my 15 IceRiver ASICs. Even the broken unit I purchased secondhand, they were easy to work with to get the replacements parts I needed. Hopefully they get back to you asap.
