I agree with most of what you say here but am king of trouble by the case against man who choked black man in trian station? Why would you believe someone being drug addict deserves death sentence? He aready had him on choke and two men was holding the hand of victim to defend himself which he ended up being choked ? This is sociopathic behavior to justify this. They could have hold him by leg or near him not choke him

@@Aboma2012 You are most definitely correct. I would expect more in the way of discipline and clarity from a 'former Marine.' It is odd to me that even as Mr. Alan Bragg correctly points out that people are attempting to dehumanize and/or devalue Mr. Neely, Scot Reisch doesn't look beyond the debate [of what is fair to include or not as to the actual cause of death] to the inhumanity of the action itself. We as a society are losing our humanity and I was gutted to find this host jogging right along, not noticing the revelation of this most crucial aspect.

I know $4 million doesn’t sound like a lot of money for a high profile murder trial, but Carroll County has a population of 21,000 with a median household income of $61K.

I agree. But... if they believe Karen is guilty, then ofcourse they would want to see her held accountable for John's death. I personally do not believe the state (or, the commonwealth of Massachusetts) has made a case that proves her guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. But, you have to take into consideration the fact that we (the general public) are looking at this case differently than his close friends and family do. They have been listening to law enforcement and the DA telling them for years, that Karen Read murdered John O'Keefe. I'm sure you would come to believe it after a while.

I would say that if Carroll County wants more money from the taxpayers to pay for the trial, then they should allow the taxpayers into that courtroom during the trial.

Exactly! Just b/c a few cops may do a bad job does not make the person who committed the crime in a case, innocent. Not only that, but some lewd texts on a cops phone does not mean Proctor, for example should have been smeared regarding alteration of evidence for which there is zero evidence that he did. The faux hype around the Free Karen Read mob is off-putting and a disgrace to justice in general. And that is putting it calmly and nicely.

ref: Delphi case Gull ensures this is a practice trial. She is over he head and wont admit it to herself. So the county gets to do this twice.... just about guaranteed. Or so it seems to me.
