It's been a while.
Life. New jobs. Health. You know, it happens.
And, we're back.
We miss our days sitting around the campfire, camping, and just shooting the breeze.
So, we decided to have it virtually.

hey guys, new subscriber here. really love your content. was really interested in your sleeping systems, perhaps a video on that would be great. planning on swapping my Z900 for a new KLR650 (the S model, as I'm only 5'8"). At 50 years old, I also need something better for my knees. Also, I'd love to make a trip to ride Michigan, what would you recommend for riding? The notification bell is on, in case you decide to address the questions in a video which would be cool.

Thanks, Shovelcard, we appreciate your sub and comments. We'll be doing videos on our sleep systems. Tummy just got a new tent to try, and Bear plans on doing an in-depth review of his. Do you prefer tents, bivies, or hammocks? Where to ride in Michigan is a great question. We typically ride West Michigan because of the hills, beaches, and National Forest. There's also nice riding in Southern Michigan and in the thumb. We'd really like to spend some time in the Huron National Forest and in the Upper Peninsula in the coming season.

I agree on the Trailmax, in my mind it is not a true 50-50 tire, Maybe 75-25 road versus dirt maybe.? Vacation time, yes sir, use it and enjoy the time off, it has always made sense to me to use it. We dont get time back in the end. Interesting concept on the center padding, yes please do a video on that, will be fun. Enjoy the trip to Alaska, that is a beautiful place, sounds like it may not actually be a vacation, but it will still be beautiful there. For the longer trips, I do like the soft bags, I can shove a little more stuff in them and it makes the long rides a little easier. Those plates from 3D cycle parts work well for the soft luggage. Giant loop makes a deal like your talking about horse shoe wise and I believe Tusk makes one now as well. Yes sirs agreed, the more you ride, the more you realize, i dont need this or that, I have taken a bunch of stuff out. I like the green screen concept of your back grounds in this video as well. Good stuff. Makes for fun videos. I love my wool blanket. I got one this year and have taken it with me the last several camping trips. its sweet. see you guys soon dale

75/25 is probably about right for my riding if it stays consistent. I was leaning toward the trailmax for a good balance of performance and longevity. I will be running roads and trails in northern Michigan. Anymore tire wisdom for someone considering them to use, with 75/25 expectations?

@@lukeb559 overall, I'm pleased with the durability and road performance of the Trailmax Missions. They did not meet my expectations for wet and sandy roads, pea-gravel roads, and slimy roads. They are, however, manageable at a reduced speed.

@@Tummy_of_the_Bearded_Pigs thanks Tummy. I was hoping to go without a mid season tire change, but I'm pretty new to this and maybe that's not realistic. I anticipate about 10,000 miles this year. Hopefully more dirt.

This mild winter will probably make me get out bomb some backroads...assuming my bike will start. It doesn't like the cold.

Fortunately here in Alabama I been riding almost everyday. We been getting some cold snaps like 3 weeks ago when it was single digits but these wheel turn almost everyday. I don't know how I could take it when y'all live. I would just have to dive in and just do it, unless it's snow🤣🤣. Great video guys👍👍 By the way, Harbor Freight has more motorcycle stuff than I expected when I visited last time. Fun place for KLR owners🤪
