You are the perfect woman. I pray that one day I can find a queen like you to love and grow old with. I wish you all the love and happiness that life can bring and I hope you have a beautiful day sweetheart
You could put a board or books under your tomato tray to lift it closer to the lights. It is easier than trying to figure out how to adjust the lights with different height plants.
Wow. The energy y’all spend every day ! Having multiple sclerosis I miss working so much. Good news for me is, y’all help me out with burning of restless energy. Watching the vids makes me feel like I been in the gardens and stuff working. Also I don’t know my way around in the kitchen to much but watching the meals being prepped gives me some ideals and them dinners is the kind I’m use to from back in the day. Thank y’all for the videos and bringing back wonderful memories. Hope y’all have a blessed day !😊
@@virginiaallisonpeck2517 Thank you for that. One of the most important things I’ve learned in life is prayer works and prayers are something we can’t have to much for. My prayers for you and your family as well 🙏. 😊
I love seeing how you work together as man and wife and children. As the Lord ment life to be. I always thought having a split chicken pen grow food in one half one year the next year switch sides. Chickens clean up and eat what is left and fertilize for the next year.
I have been watching your videos for awhile now. We are from Akron Alabama. We live on the river. Y’all are an inspiration to watch and I have learned so much. I have 20 White longhorn chickens coming.🙆🏼♀️everyday I tell my husband about something y’all we’re doing. Now I say My best friend Meghan did this today……I’m fixing to try and master making my own lard. I’ve been canning alot more also. I also have your cookbook and would love to meet yall one day! If your ever in Alabama come for a visit on the river!! I made your cowboy candy pickled eggs today told my family you cannot touch till May 2nd!!!! Love y’all’s channel
We fed our cows ground up corn when I was young as well. We grew a large field of corn, took it to the mill when we needed some and filled up a crib with the rest. We picked that corn by hand and it was several acres.
Meagan, my cupcakes are always gigantic too 😂. They sure are yummy though - more to enjoy. I think using the old chicken coop is an awesome idea. Can’t wait to see the veggies it’ll produce.
Hi guys 👋..hope ya had a great Easter 🐣..it was Lovely I also doc up a cake mix box 👍🏽…,I love the carrot cake box …just add a can of pumkin and I also put some golden raisins and pecans and it come out super great …We have it with our coffee ☕️
Back when folks were first raving about how convenient cake mixes were, I'd always used milk instead of water, because water is just wet, milk will add moisture. Lard or butter instead of vegetable oils will add moisture and flavor. Everybody says add more eggs than the box calls for, and there was a time when some mixes were labeled with an extra egg, but folks that added extra eggs automatically said they weren't good like before, so they stopped labeling it that way. No matter what flavor of boxed cake mixes I've ever used, I always add a splash of real vanilla extract, and just that alone will make folks think it's a homemade cake.
Another sunny day plus Easter Weekend. MONDAY April 1st. Good to use the old chickens spot, close to the house and plant all you can. Your little ones enjoying their work.😊
Following the chicken coop experiment. Those cupcakes look delicious. I do the same things when I use cake mix. It’s funny because people swear they are scratch made and I don’t tell them any different. It’s very rare that I don’t make homemade icing though .
One thought is to just put something under your tomatoe tray to raise it up closer to the lights, now that they’ve germinated good.Everything is looking great!
Well done y'all. It's refreshing to watch healthy Christian families thrive in today's craziness. Justvablittle heads up, I have had to re subscribe to your channel several times inbthe last few weeks. We have been binging your videos for a month now and I have had to re subscribe at leat 4 times. Almost like they don't want us to learn how to live right.😢
Hey Y'all, I can't to see what you do with the pollinating garden. I have always wanted to grow a purple passion flower on a trellis. If I may, they might add a nice vertical element to your flower bed, and they are good pollinators. If you don't know, it is the state wildflower of Tennessee. Purple cone flowers are nice in a garden. they are native to middle Tennessee. Excuse me but I'm so proud of my states flora. I love to wake up and watch your videos with my morning sweet tea, It helps me start the day off right. Thank y'all so much.
Great job everyone, lots of work around there accomplished today and some great looking cupcakes for later. More planting areas readied too. Thanks for sharing all with us. Knowing you all had a great Easter get together with your families. Stay safe and keep up the fun. Fred.
6:42 actually veg oil can be replaced 1:1 with butter. So 1/2cup of veg oil is 1/2 cup melted butter ! I do the same with the milk for water and an extra egg too! No lad like you but I do farm fresh butter!
Good morning Andy and Meagan. Thanks once again for keeping it REALLY real. Trash and junk accumulation is real on the homestead. At least it is on mine. And time is valuable. So using a box cake mix or preprocessed anything is realistic. Replacing the toxic vegetable oil with lard makes a huge difference.. Cant wait to see how the crops do in the chicken run. Perfect set up and idea. Love you guys.❤
Those cupcakes look amazing. I like the new mics I can hear you all better.your living the good life I know its hard work but also very rewarding at the end.Happy Easter 💐🐝💐🐝💐🐝💐🐝💐 Love you guys💓💓💓💓
Love watching your farming videos. Reminds me of home. We, well my nephew does the same on our farm, with his 10 year old son. Love farm life. By the way cupcakes look yummy, my favorite.
You might just try water proofing the wood, treated lumber is through the roof in price right now. Even just using used motor oil will work it just it has to be reapplied ever so often. Or hang the door so it opens inward instead of outward. Love your channel it reminds me of my youth. God speed.!!
When my mother occasionally used a box mix she would do similar to what you did and call it “doctoring it up” 😊 nothin wrong with that! Really enjoy your channel ❤️
Nobody in our entire family ever used treated wood around animals. Structural beams could be used, but they had to be covered with untreated wood. Planks were replaced when needed. Our philosophy was that if you have to wear a mask and goggles to cut treated wood, and you should when cutting treated lumber, you didn't want that around your animals.
@@TrueGritAppalachianWays yes, i have used slightly different flavor in some yellow or white mixes. No need to add extra milk or water. I put in a little heavy cream or sour cream, whichever I have. I also nearly always add a little vanilla extract. I love that stuff!
Talking about pastures. Horses eat with both upper and lower teeth. Cows only lower teeth. Horses can literally starve cows. Do you ride or work your Horses? Or, like ours, just field ornaments? Something to think about. Love y'all.
We used to ride a lot, but both horses are now around 30 and living the retired life. The kids do ride them occasionally but yes just pasture ornaments these days ☺️
ANDY LOVES TO PLAY WITH HIS TRACTORS FOR ANYWAY HE CAN THINK OF. ITS LUCKY YOU CAN AFFORD THEM THEIR NOT CHEAP MAKE WORK EASIER BUT HE ALSO LOVES HIS BIG BOY TOYS DOES YOUR DAD ALSO HAVE LOTS OF TRACTORS...GLAD YOU CAN AFFORD THEM THEY MAKE JOBS EASIER SAVES TIME AN MONEY
Hey, why not let your goat get in there and eat that nice cover crop? Just a thought. That soil you gathered was like black gold! Nice! Love from Texas ❤
Yes I strain it through a stainless steel coffee filter, and if you scrape the cream off I’d say that would be comparable to whole milk, when I still has the cream in it I call that EXTRA whole milk 🤣 Jersey milk is divine though
City girl here😂 how long does it last in frig, what do you clean cows teats with, does this prevent bacteria, and how much milk does 2 cows produce and what do you do all extra milk😊
