Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary has told Sky News the UK Government's approach to travelling abroad is "bonkers".
Mr O'Leary does not understand why UK passengers can't travel with ease due to success of the vaccine programme and puts blame for the travel chaos firmly at Boris Johnson's door.

Really? I recently went to Gran Canaria from the UK for £8. Which airline offers a better service than that? New and clean aircraft, friendly staff and flight arrived early.

All your aircraft are Irish registered. Take Covid restrictions out on the Irish government. I don’t see the boss of easyJet keep appearing on RTE moaning about foreign travel. It’s a pandemic, get used to it! We’ve been living with it for over a year!

He has been on Irish radio giving out like hell for months now. EasyJet don’t fly to the republic. Ryanair have a huge presence in the Uk. He is looking after Ryanair’s business interests. It’s nothing to do with Brit bashing.

Because keeping Britons in UK and spending UK money this summer will help boost economy for everybody's benefit. Travelling to Portugal only lines your pocket Mr Ryanair. Don't pretend it's for the good of UK population.

Raynair cancelled 3 of my flights the last 6 months and caused me huge damage and they never paid anything because it was more than 15 days before the flight so isn't covered by European laws

Are we going to have any airlines left by the time the government gets their act together? If the government carries on like this, there'll literally be a taxpayer-funded monopoly on flying that the same taxpayer will never be able to afford by the time everything opens back up. It's a lose-lose for the common person so maybe it's time to get behind people like Ryanair to get things opened up.

His argument is "why can't vaccinated people go?". He's got a point, but most of the people going to Portugal for holidays haven't had their second dose at least 3 weeks ago, so wouldn't be allowed to travel. He's inconsistent with himself.
