I am from South Africa so the BBQ is a sacred institution, we even have a national day dedicated to it = we call it a "braai" (Translate - to grill) Most middle class homes have a built-in braai area - with a chimney - I used to have one until it started rusting and the chimney got stuck so I had it removed and replaced it with a Weber. Wood is preferred but some purists frown on using charcoal but we all agree that using gas is a heresy. Also meat - putting seafood on a grill is for those weird Australians. Side dishes is either maize porridge or baked bread in a pot on the grill or a cold salad of some sorts.
Wonderful meal, the combination of shrimp and salmon looks delightful. I wish we could get beautiful spring onions like those where I live. Thanks for the video, Chef.
Interesting to see the small grill approach. Granted most UK homes don't have the monstrous gas grills like we have here in the U.S. Always curious how others do their cooking. Love your content Mr. T, I'm not a chef myself, but my oldest brother is and I used to always steal (borrow) his text books whilst he was at his girlfriends' house. So I learned at an early age proper technique and recipes (all be it classical French). Keep it up and next thing you know you'll get that play button!
That looks really good. There and at home you use some items from small plastic cups. One looks like a combination of ground pepper, another salt. Could you identify those please?
This is the best video on your channel. But every video of you is perfect. Your youtube-channel is the best one i am following. Greetings from Germany and sorry for my bad english skills. Please keep it up 👍👍👍
They are 'spring onions' here in the uk, usually they are not so bulbous at the bottom but can always find both straight and the larger bulbous ones in supermarkets here
