I love my M.K. 1.1. I would take it over an Nexes any day. My M.K. 1.1 hits 255-260 all worker metal parts. Long dart delete and trigger slop gone too.
I thought the mk1.1 wouldn't need any or little mods to field. Overall the mods aren't bad, except for the plunger tube fix which doesn't seem to be in all blasters.
popatachi gotcha. Guess it just depends what kind of performance you were looking for. I went with the nexus personally. They appeared pretty much the same performance wise in stock form. Only big advantage I saw with the mk was the removable barrel which I couldn’t really justify the price difference for the amount of use it’d get. Honestly I was also just really excited about a blaster of that caliber at that price point. Lol. I don’t know how different they are when modded though. Or what kind of performance you were trying to hit. Nexus with simple mods like spring replacement or spacers aren’t too different from stock from what I’ve seen. Don’t know if a barrel replacement or any other mods would help as I was too lazy to venture that far and again for me the whole idea was the price and not having to do any work for it. On the other hand I thought the aeon pro was similar internally as well but its a bit different. More areas for modification and seems to be able to push those FPS limits more than the nexus and its even cheaper still.
@@pastiesandagstring I think with mods, the two platforms are roughly the same. The Nexus internals are more accessible for modding. I had hoped that I wouldn't have to do any mods on the mk1.1, but since the plunger had a terrible seal, it all had to be done anyway. If the mk1.1 consistently had terrible seals, I would have gone with the Nexus for the price, similar to your thoughts.
popatachi Aw that sucks. The mk1.1 got some lemons or prone to issues? I’ve heard they aren’t as compatible with mags either for some odd reason. I kind of wish I hadnt jumped on the nexus and aeon when they came out. The conquest is quite interesting. The size is nice and the design and mechanics are very unique and innovative. Have you checked out any of the other mk blasters? or had a chance to play with nerfs mega xl line?
@@pastiesandagstring I think I got a lemon. I haven't seen or heard of others with the plunger seal being an issue, but it doesn't seem like many people really got into the mk1.1. Mine works well with worker mags so that's never been an issue for me. I've only bought the mk1.1 and the mk2. I don't need too many primaries and wanted something field ready (although we see how that turned out. :D)
