Second Mokoko for pastry and coffee - the ones in Bristol are great too. Never miss a visit to Mr B's, he is such a good bookseller, often swoops when you're browsing and suggests something you wouldn't have thought of. Love it.

Lovely video as always! I would really think twice before you sell your home unless you are DEFINITELY never moving back to Bath. I live in Bristol, was going to move into a bigger house in 2019 before the pandemic, didn't, and now I am totally priced out of the area. House prices are only going to keep going up and if you change your minds you might not be able to afford to come back. Just my opinion. We live in an EXPENSIVE part of the country!!!

I’m glad that I didn’t sell up in Bath when I went to live in Greece initially . I do wish however that I had had the gumption to sell up and take investment advice !! Nine years later and after many changes to my life , outlook on life etc. I will be returning to live part time in my house and continue to travel part time . I am dreading it , but could think of far worse places to be based for now . I just spent a month travelling around Portugal and really don’t get it 🤷‍♀️ , but each to their own as they say .

Rent your house out. If you sell it, you'll never be able to own here again. I've seen that happen to loads of expats over the years, 80% of whom always need to return at some point. Life abroad - with a different language, laws, health system/costs, distance from friends and relatives etc., is no picnic, believe me.

I've heard this! Planning on moving abroad and keeping a small property as a rental here for that reason. (I've been living half UK and half abroad for few years now, and not having fluency of the language is a massive barrier (not day to day, but meaningful relationships and jobs yes)... don't wait to learn would be my advice!)

Tapas won’t fill you up in England where it’s quadruple the price. It’s probably cheaper to fly to Spain and get it there to fill you up than it is to dine here for something that probably isn’t authentically Spanish!

I'll never understand why content creators such as yourself remove perfectly legitimate, well informed comments from their pages. I know about mortgages and rentals - I have 3 properties. Maybe learn some humility and then you'll might be able to take advice from benevolent others.

Pintxo is pronounced 'pincho' and are originally from the Basque Country in North Spain (I used to live in Bilbao in the Basque Country) and you can get them in literally every bar, basically their version of tapas. I think the reason they're called pintxos is to do with the skewer that holds the food together! ps. be careful about calling pintxos spanish in front of basque people!
