It's finally released! I was so excited when the creators unleashed this bad boy! This is a mod for NASCAR Thunder 2003 for the Nintendo Gamecube using Dolphin Emulator. This mod includes the year 2000 Winston Cup AND Busch Series Drivers and having their own ratings! And that's not all. A FULL FLEDGE CAREER MODE can be played using the year 2000's schedule cutting away from Chicagoland and Kansas speedways to match the 34 race season.

Holy Crapioli! This blew up! Honestly I don't deserve this viewership and activity! Y'all are awesome! But don't think for a moment I did anything related to this mod. It's beautiful! Don't worry, Nick. I'm fanboying too. For your Thunder 03 career mode, I'd use the 2003 Texture Mod, but I'd be lying if I told you a Thunder 03 career with this 2000 mod wouldn't be extremely interesting.

You know, I never thought we'd actually get to see the full release of a NASCAR console mod, but here we are. Awesome stuff. Also, if you plan on doing a career/season mode playthrough with this game, make sure you install an update (version 1.1 or later) before starting it, otherwise you'll be in for a real nasty surprise after the fall Talladega race.

Funnily enough I was doing a simulation mode to test some things out. And yup on the surprise... When I get home from work I'll find out more on the update and update the description. Doing the career mode in conjunction with closing out my Thunder 04 career would be tough seeing how I'm a part time RU-vidr and with the races being 25%, the upload rate would be a little slow. But judging by this video already, I'd love to make it happen.

2:58 Wish JB10 was also in NASCAR 2001 3:45 Same with Blaney as I feel bad he was never in an EA NASCAR Game till 07 All in all, this is super raw Nicky! This should be your next Career Mode once Thunder 04 is done! Hopefully in the near future I can give this a shot for myself as well! Ty Thunder is the man! EDIT: As far as doing it in conjunction with finishing Thunder 04, I’d say go for it! I’d TOTALLY watch 2 series at once for some variety!

Jeremy Mayfield drove 12 until 2002

Actually Jeremy Mayfield was released by Penske prior to the end of the 2001 season (Kansas in September '01 was his last race in the 12) and Mike Wallace took over the #12 for the remainder of the 2001 season. Mayfield went to drive for Ray Evernham in the 19 Dodge Dealers car in 2002.

@@Thegod_of_memes He was under performing and making some negative comments about the team in the media and Ryan Newman was up and coming. Mike Wallace drove the rest of the season but was just keeping the seat warm for Newman. Think Mayfield was out at the end of the season anyway.

@renceAfton He was driving the #1 Pennzoil car, driving for the injured Steve Park. Whom got severely injured in a Busch series crash at Darlington. While under caution his steering wheel came off causing his car to veer to the left, crashing into Larry Foyt. Back then lapped cars lined up to the inside of the leaders to take the green. Foyt was trying to hustle to get up a long side the leaders on the back stretch prior to the green then bang! T-boned Steve Park right in the drivers side door. Park was found unresponsive and had to be cut from the car. Fortunately Steve came to. I watched that Live when it happened.

I'm a new subscriber and I already love what I'm seeing from you! This mod looks so awesome!! You should do a season mode with either Mark Martin or Davey Allison! Get them the title that eluded them!
