that fitting you pulled out of the top of the rbc mani is for your brake booster. that is a must for booster vac. you need to drill and tap the underside of the mani for another fitting. the big elbow fitting you pulled and put back in is most likely going to leak coolant now. the hole above that is where most install an adapter fitting for the coolant temp sending unit to the cluster.
