This is not dramatic at all. This is what it’s like to go through a major hurricane and it’s scary. Thank God yall are ok.

I have been in your shoes we had no power for 6-8 weeks in Key west and I lost it all 4 1/2 feet of water inside the house, no flood insurance! I just bought the basics again it’s heartbreaking to see what these monster hurricane 🌀 can do!!! GOD BLESSED YOU ALL 🙏🙏🙏🙏 it gets overwhelming take a deep breath, breathe and it will all be OK. Hello Lynn Clearwater Florida here. I've been in bed for 3 days the after some outside cleanup the fatigue hit hard. Had to throw out everything as well and clean up was/is a lot. We had no power 3 days that's when tackled the outside and fridges. Still more to do but I've learned it's not just a one day job from this storm. We have 3 live oaks huge as you know the debre is a ton. I too am grateful! I have Jesus! Seeing you hold your chest I have been doing the same. Rest in between its not a marathon. I can so relate to the smells by Saturday it had to go. I used Soapy water and pinesol. Still have not gotten to my floors. But fridges are like new! Grocery stores here were out of everything mostly and closed. Yesterday we got half gallon milk and bread no eggs. I'm good I'll slowly replenish. I had to walk away from this note to just sob at the end with your hand on your heart and chest I could relate. As crying it wasn't the loss, but the fatigue and sadness for many, ithink holding on to the unknown through the storm as well? I know I'm not alone so many others had it worse. Sometimes we just need a good cry. Healing...I'm the after person as well. I am strong through but after I'm more than fatigued didn't know there was a name for it. My prayers to you and yours and all effected by these storms. I'm surprised I just sobbed so hard I know I was holding on but didn't know till it surfaced if that makes sense? Sending love your way! I am so glad you all remained safe. Things can be replaced but you cannot replace family. Don’t try to do it all quickly. It can wait a while. You have a dry and safe place to live and access to food and water and AC which is vital in the south. I live in South Texas and could not live here without AC. Im in swfl and a fl native, I’m always prepped for hurricane season but I don’t really worry at all when a storms coming, guess we just grow up used to it, I’ve been through cat 4s & 5s before! Hope everyone affected by the latest storms makes a swift recovery! Thankfully y’all’s damages weren’t too terrible!

Hi Lynn. Glad all is well. We've lived on Floridas Nature Coast for 25 years and Milton just did a number on me physically and mentally. We also had to dispose of all our refrigerated and frozen food but like you were using it as an opportunity to be more intentional with our food consumption and health❤️👍

I'm so glad you all are safe. My sister and her kids live in North Central FL, and her house got damaged when a huge branch fell on her mobile home roof. They still need repairs and working with the insurance company . The city was out there today, picking up their piles of tree limbs and branches, and she has so much more to clean up out of her yard. I went through Hirrican Andrew when I lived in FL decades ago, and that was super scary. I am so glad I don't live down there anymore. Please take it easy. It will all come together in due time. Groceries and power are most important

I feel for you. I went through a hurricane here in TX. It was CAT 1 till it hit our area...that was bad enough for me...I walked the floor all night & my husband slept on the lounge chair. Not near as bad as you had it. My prayers have been with the people of FL.

I'm so glad you guys are okay. I have lived in Florida all my life and I know what they are like. The storm did not hit our area but when I saw that it was going to hit further north, I immediately thought of you and started praying for you and your family, and waiting for a video to let me know that you are okay. I think you made the right choice with the rocking chairs by the way.

I’m sorry for everything you lost. We were blessed and had wind and rain and never lost power (we live seven miles north of Orlando). We replaced our doors and windows six years ago so we didn’t have rain come in. Our neighbors used water snakes (absorbent snake-shape tubes) in the door and window tracks. They are wonderful and extremely helpful.

I am so sorry that had to be a mess and scary. Prayers to your family. Hope your home had minimal damage. Take care and stay safe. ❤❤❤❤ I live in tornado alley they sound like a freight train .

Oh my. I am so sorry for your damage but happy all of you are safe. We were fortunate to only have Milton hit us as a tropical storm, though we had unprecedented tornados the afternoon before the storm. Again, we were blessed and were not affected by those. Experienced many hurricanes and storms of varying degrees in my years here. I really liked your patio/pergola area. It sounds like you already have some new plans and visions and that is wonderful.
