I was challenged to use every single DLC and CCP Content Creator Pack for Cities: Skylines in just one city AND to do this while playing the game for 24 hours straight, making sure to reach the final Megalopolis milestone.
So I loaded up my vanilla Cities: Skylines, made sure I turned off the Steam Workshop entirely, and sat down on my quest to prove that it's not impossible to use every single DLC in Cities: Skylines in one city.
But I was sabotaged. Watch the full video to find out the consequences of my actions!

10:30 that layout is called a bastion fort, it’s very common in many older cities in europe and especially the netherlands, as it is the country with the most bastion forts in the world. period. that while also being a very small country, so just look at cities like Utrecht, Amsterdam, Woerden, Leeuwarden, etc etc. they all have canals in this layout

Just a question as I've owned the game for sometime, But only really got into it over the last few months. My question is how long dose it normally take mod makers to update the mods after a update as I can't open my current map till that happens. But grateful for feedback since I'm new to this.

@@Ricky-nq7lu The creators of the most popular mods get the updates ahead of time to be able to update their side ASAP, but usually there's still a small delay. In general you should be okay as early as today though! Your best bet is to read this Reddit thread thoroughly: www.reddit.com/r/CitiesSkylines/comments/yvrhwt/november_free_update_your_mods_are_probably_going/ They put together all the essential info for troubleshooting mods and update the thread as mods update. It's such a great resource. Good luck, you got this!

@@ToadieZzzeah I agree with this statement, if you must choose a map though, any snow map custom or dlc with a good mix of building space and natural resources(oil, coal, etc) will be the best as the snow maps are a map climate exclusive to dlc. But this is still a win regardless

Yeah imo the maps from the Map Pack (both 1 and 2) are considerably better than the previous maps. Road placements and intersection variations have improved way much better. The roads are not as unrealistically jaggy and feels very monotone with the overuse of that vanilla Cloverleaf and T intersection as before.

The rule was that she'd use every DLC in one session, wasn't it? What's stopping her from simply making one city on one map, then starting over on another map to build another city? Heck, it doesn't even have to be a large city. Just opening the map while playing should suffice.

No wonder I can't find it 😂😭 Because I definitely remember clearly that the game has some real European football club stadiums back then when I was still using the cracked version of C:S (2017-2019, and then finally bought the game in 2020). Any info on the "why" that DLC was removed? Is it related to UEFA licenses?

There is actually a theme park like the cliff one in the uk. it has a rollercoaster called Cliffhanger that hangs over the edge, but they have to keep moving the park backwards due to parts falling in lol.

Sooo - the moment a second pure map-pack arrives this challenge would be impossible by definition? Nah. I don't think so. I wouldn't consider map packs generally in this kind of challenges. As long as you put assets from every DLC on the map you are golden. The city still looks pretty nice.

I cant wait to get a new CS with better graphics, less memory usage, and better A.I. among many more wishes, instead of just dlc's. That's why I havent personally played it in about 1 to 2 years but instead watch other's on youtube play which is enjoyable. I like the mods and modders but it can be daunting sometimes at least for me working with the mods. I get that mods are not essential but at the same time it kinda is because a lot of the mods are needed to play the game the way you want. Plus I can't see myself spending over $100 on a 7 year old game's dlc packs especially the radio stations. That's just me personally dont @ me lol

Nicely done! I have a map that I use just to pop the achievements in Cities Skylines named Achievement Town and it has all the main DLC, none of the content creator packs, which I'm sure they can all be squeezed in. So if you were told it can't be done? Heck yes it can ^_^ BTW first time finding your channel and this was fun to watch.

I thought your mistake was having disasters turned on. I mean, you didn't use everything from every DLC, so you could have had disasters turned off. I never thought about the map. Soon it will be more impossible, as on 2022-12-13 there is supposed to be "Map Pack 2" released.

Yeah, the goal was to use *something* from every DLC so you're right, I could have turned random disasters off and just built the shelters. But I guess that just felt like cheating? And yeah! How is it going to work next time having two map packs?! I think I'll have to make a custom map merging half of one from each with the other. 😅😅 We'll see!

@@ToadieZzz Wouldn't need to build shelters. There's the police, fire, and medical helicopters that are even useful. My favorite parts of ND. (That and Earthquake Sensor for jumping power.)

@@BJGvideos Or just turn the disaster rate way down to the lowest setting. In my cities, there's an occasional sinkhole or comet falling from the sky, but it happens like once in every ten hours of play, so I tolerate it. Alternatively, the disasters can be summoned manually. You can use the "building collapse" disaster as an exploit to empty landfills, for instance.

@4:17 i have stadiums DLC and other than some cool stadiums you aren’t missing much, they all function like normal stadium and all have different teams like Juventus stadium have Juventus FC that’s it and you get wave pf happiness after the team wins. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Only DLC I regret buying is Campus. Not worth the money and their "paint an area" implementation is not very appropriate. Didn't buy Airports or Plazas and Promenades for same reason

You can't use a Map Pack in-game, the most you can do is use it's trees for decoration.

Holy hell, how many DLCs have they added to the game? I bought CS few days after its release and I played it pretty much every day until they released the 2nd/3rd DLC. Did not expect to see that many DLCs. Ok not really. I fully expected it because it's Paradox.

I play on console, and Universities kind of sucks due to it taking up too much real estate. That's the reason I won't be getting Airports.

I totally get it and everyone gets their opinion, but know that what I did in this video can 100% be done on console too. Vanilla PC is the same as console. : )

It sucks because I would love to have different cities in my map with different transportation and highways connecting to them, but you can't since restricted to 9 tiles sadly.
