This evoked such a visceral reaction within me I cried because this was so good. This really reminded me why I took up animation. The imagery and music really ties it all together. The build up of the bird juxtaposed with all the beautiful couples and other people followed by the overwhelming instruments as the bird flies over head. Chills, I really felt like a kid watching a cartoon through out all of it. Then all the workers kicking ass with their super bird made up of collective birds. Peace and beauty returns as all the people enjoy their lives once again.
But also the people initially ignoring it. Literally early warning signs of impending fascism and they just shrug their shoulder and go about their business, allowing it to wreak havok. But in the end, it's the unified struggle of the entire working class that defeats it.

Без Ленд-лиза - да, было бы сложнее. Но всё равно бы победили, т.к. первые и решающие сражения проходили когда американская помощь ещё не подоспела. The USSR, China, and a number of Eastern European countries suffered the most terrible losses during World War II, and it was the USSR that made one of the decisive contributions to the victory over Nazism and fascism. That short makes me remember about a movie I watched months ago called "The Boy and the World" and uses the same bird logic, but they don't win this war. They lose, and the black bird be stronger than before with the technology advance, destroying thousands of florest and all that stuff. That's crazy if we think a little concept created years ago is "now" reused to create other discussions (the movie premiere in 2014) and I guess we need more concepts about this bird association, about others technologies, environment, wars and all those stuff to make the population more (or just a little) conscious about those global problems.

I am surprised that the Soviet cartoon did not show that only the USSR won the whole war. Of the horrors of the war, only the bombing of Africa was shown, and the fact that 27000000 people died in the USSR during the war was not mentioned

Also not sure why they used doves out of all possible birds to represent the efforts of the USSR and the West; it was our willingness to use force, not pacifism, which destroyed fascism in WWII. The dove is an international symbol of peace created by the Spanish communist Pablo Picasso. This symbol has nothing to do with pacifism. And this cartoon demonstrates that it is necessary to fight fiercely for peace.
This is aimed at the nazls but it is actually true for all imperialists dictatoships. If you leave a man in power for too long and that man grows imperialist ambitions war is inevitable because nobody can say no to him when he decides that the neighbouring country should be conquered.

It should be noted that the Soviet Union started out as allies with the fascists in WWII. Before WWII, German troops used to get training in the Soviet Union.

@@kamin526 It should be noted that at no point did the U.S., Britain, Poland, or France have any kind of alliance with Germany. The USSR on the other hand, had the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact where they cooperated with Germany to jointly invade Poland, making them allies.
@@POCKET-SAND lol, what? Actually, Poland and Germany jointly invaded Czechoslovakia. Soviet Union tried to send aviation to help Czechs and Poland refused to let them fly over Poland. Moreover, Soviets signed Molotov-Ribentrop after trying to make alliance with Britain or France. Brits themselves tried to make alliance with Hitler even during the WWII. Of course, it doesn't get Soviet's guilt off for occuping Baltic states and the war with Finland to create a buffer zone between Moscow and Berlin. Nevertheless, you should consider other sources of historical education, not only RU-vid.
@@user-gq3mm2xl6z Actually, the Poles did not have any formal agreement with the Germans. They simply moved in and took the small region they wanted without any kind of coordination with the Germans. Soviet Union didn't do squat, just as they later act while Germany was taking over almost all of Europe. They did nothing until the Germans came to them. In the meantime, they did sign a military alliance with Germany: the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. This is something no other Allied country did before or during the war. There were even brief talks in 1940 of the USSR joining the Axis Powers, but they didn't go anywhere. Even before this, the Soviets had agreements with the Germans throughout the 1930s to test out new military equipment on Soviet territory in order to get around the restrictions imposed on Germany by the Treaty of Versailles. NO other Allied nation aided Germany more than the USSR did in the lead-up and beginning of WWII. I suggest you start getting information from sources that aren't communist propaganda.
It's pretty hard to really take the supposed "anti-imperialist" message seriously when you realize that, at the time, the Soviet Union was essentially still acting as a prison for many of the people that had been previously colonized by the russian empire, with no real attempts made to end the "great russian chauvinism" that persisted throughout its existence.
