Anime tells much more meaningful stories than most cartoons my cousins watch on Cartoon Network these days. Back when I was a child, I had Samurai Jack. Now my cousins have a speaking slice of pizza on screen with no meaningful plot.

Found this late ,but yeah anime is not any form of media or cartoon , anime is a writers emotions which are conveyed to us through art , I am glad I found all those masterpieces . We don't only watch anime but we share the emotions with the characters in that anime.

I’ve spent thousands of hours watching anime, countless days binging, but even though this isn’t real I feel it just as much as I would anything else. I’ve never once in my life felt emotion, it’s something men aren’t taught to show. But this brings it out of me, I feel exited, sad, happy, powerful… I feel emotional when I watch anime, something I’ve never felt otherwise, not even at the expense of my family’s life, just because I’ve been taught not to.
