I'm pretty sure Leo gave us all a side eye, "look at him thinking I'm going in that water"... So great seeing and knowing that, even with the hard work you both are having the time of your life. Even when it kicks your rear ends, you don't complain - that's very rare and shows what a good man you are. Thank you for sharing.

Definitely a better place to cool off than the pond. Leo doesn't know what he missed! Must not like the cold. You have had an awesome 2000 miles. Looking forward to the finale outfit and the grand finale at the very end. But first we get to experience the 100 mile wilderness with you. Less than 200 left and some awesome hiking to do.

That river looked so refreshing!!! Leo should have gone in! 😂 looked like he was going to but decided against it. Pretty view from Sugarloaf! Oh, I cannot say it enough, it is so very beautiful. What a refreshing dip in the creek!! makes me curious as to why Leo doesn’t come into the water. My guys when we’re hiking, will leap right into the middle of it! Less than 200 miles!!! wow what am I going to do in the mornings without you to drink coffee with? LOL. It certainly has been an amazing journey for you and Leo. And as you said, there’s no way that I could ever do this, but I can certainly watch you and live vicariously through you guys. This would be so awesome to get to do.. maybe one day I’ll be at a place where I can at least do some section hikes, and I am keeping a list of all the beautiful areas.❤❤❤❤❤

Beautiful views and a nice stream to cool off. Glad you have a night in the hostel; hopefully you can get some good sleep! This has been an unusually hot summer in Maine so far. Last year all the hikers were having trouble crossing flooded d streams . You and Leo Getting close! Less than 200 miles. 😍

When it’s really hot, when you walk down trail that has been in the sun, it throws the heat in your face. People who haven’t done hiking like that don’t understand the toughness it takes to climb those mountains. 👍🏼

Leo does look like he loves hiking and is so we'll behaved. Questions: Do you use anything on Leo's feet for protection, how old is he, what are you going to do with him at Khatadin? It's my understanding dogs aren't allowed to climb up.

i asked about his paw care and michael said he uses a vet recommended lotion, but now leo's pad are all callused and all good.
