Is that Landon? No way. He’s back he’s here. I bet he has a sappy story to tell. Good to see you young man. Time to buy syrup? Yum. Thanks for the reminder. ❤❤❤❤
Hi Landon! Great video, thanks for that! You sure have grown up since I saw you last. Don't know how I lost track, but I use to watch all your videos and really enjoyed your maple syrup videos, tapping the trees and running the lines, etc, and all your other videos too. Not sure if it was a year or two ago. I don't see them on your channel anymore. I'll have to catch up on the ones you have posted that I've missed. The trees have to be confused this year with the crazy weather we're having. Thanks again for the video, great to see you, stay safe and healthy! Also, I just found the video on your Cross Roads Maple site that explained about your RU-vid channel problem. Glad to see you back!
Good to see you back! Next weekend when I’m down I’ll have to get some syrup. I have been making chocolate peanut butter no bake cookies using maple syrup!
Great to see you out in the field. When my brother gets back from several trips in the next month, I will order some for him as a late Christmas present
Pints and half-gallons - perfect Landon. I’ll get my next order in soon. Richest blessings on you, your family, your farm, your syrup operation, and your future!
Landon, it's so good to see you back making content. No matter what I am definitely going to order a bottle of syrup this year. Good to see you back bro, You're looking strong and healthy so that's great. 👍
Good to see you back making videos Landon. I read recently it takes 40 years to get a sugar maple to a size to tap. Don't know if that's right. If so are you gapping up, planting trees in the gaps, so there are more trees to go at? How many gallons of sap does it take to make a pint of bottled syrup? What's the farm like not having the number of dairy cows now?
A tree should be at least 10 inches in diameter before you start tapping it. We have a nice amount of smaller maples starting to grow. It takes 40 gallons of sap to make a gallon of syrup. That’s at the typical 2.0% sugar content. So it would take roughly 5 gallons of sap to make a pint. Things to a little while to get used to without milking a whole herd of cows. However, it’s a decision that was definitely needed due to the current state of the dairy industry.
Hey Landon ! Are you doing the Syrup all by yourself ? Even here in Ontario it might soon be too warm ! Anyways it is really running very well. Are you also selling some wholesale - like in the big barrels ? Keep it coming ! Lots of people like Syrup !!!
