It's "Mocktail Time"!! Only $50! 

Nice video, and great title. I reviewed this one also a few months ago. I hope they fixed them since then, but I doubt it. I found mine to have a significant design FLAW, and found a handful of others with the same issue. Basically it would run for about 30 minutes, maybe less. Then it would just stop, always at the same spot too. I "fixed" mine by sheer luck. Where I noticed that the plastic movement holder was in contact with the case back and putting some undue pressure. I shaved that down a bit, and hasn't had a problem since. I went over it in my review. Cheers!

I ordered this watch and recieved it about 2 weeks ago. I wear it most days, except for yard work. For my purposes it keeps perfect time. Im very pleased. Ive been looking for an inexpensive yet dependable automatic that I can give as a gift to my father in law. I think this will be it!

I came across this particular episode rather late. As always - I enjoy all your videos . Your enthusiam for Chinese specials is highly contagious ( I convinced myself to get a Guanqin GJ16034 ).

As always a good review, and beautiful watch for the price. The stutter of the second hand is most likely caused by an indirect driven second hand. It is, as you can see on the app, not anything that affects the accuracy. There is a little leaf spring in the movement that needs to be bent a very little bit to remove or decrease the problem. After a little googling, it seems like relatively easy fix (removing the automatic rotor) on ST16 movement, but if you have the DG2813 movement it a difficult fix, that has to be done from the dial side. It is something that I have a very hard time accepting, maybe its because of OCD or something. I will look a bit more into it later, to find out what movement the watch contains. A rare sunny day here in Denmark equals fall garden work right now :)

I like it too especially in the different colour ways. However never been that struck on the cocktail or even the 'Mocktail' (love that description) maybe it just reminds me of that early 60s style, which although a very wee baby never liked much. For the money though a billy bargain👍

It astounds me as to how you always seem to get the best bang-for-your-buck watches at great price points. That's why I always find myself excited when I see that you have a new video up. I would have immediately bought this Mocktail if it were not for the 43mm size. Hence, I have a request, although this might not be popular with a lot of people: I hope you also review smallish watches for people with 6-6.5inch wrists. Looking forward to that!

just got mine "Blue with Black strap" some days ago. Indeed very bulky Sapphire glas with crazy AR (does this even prevent reflections?) and some mis-alignment in the dial. BUT incredible -2sec/days. Those chinese guys finally figured out how to make movements.

A great review as always Jody. I'm currently looking at buying a Seiko Presage, which is a bit of a departure in style for me, so this watch would nicely give me a chance to try out this kind of design. Also having relatively large wrists, 7 3/4, this might be, if not a more suitable size, then a good alternative to wear should I buy both. Love the channel and variety of watches you choose to review. Take it easy. J

Ah well, wish I'd seen this one first, I bought the similar one with the date sub-dial in blue, I should have gone for this cleaner date window model. I probably would pick green, but the brown model is growing on me as well, and then I could go for the genuine "Mojito" and not be doubling up on dial colors. Anyway, cheers on a great review!

Ended up taking the plunge on one of these since it was about $57. What a bargain!!! I know the Orient Bambino is a popular similar style budget watch but this one is much better in my opinion. I felt the quality wasn't much different but the dial is much nicer. The quality is atleast as good. I also thought the strap was at very least as good. I thought my bambino had a crappy strap.

i think there is no seagull 2813, could be a dg2813. You could compare it to the black guanqin with day/date, should be the same movement in gold tone.

Despite what many others here have said, I appreciate the size of this one. Plenty of options around 40mm so it's nice to see a cocktail watch at a size big enough for guys with larger wrist sizes! Thanks for this review, just ordered one, but those good prices were nowhere to be seen :-( AUD$94 here...

So lucky it's too big for my wrist. Since subscribing I hot myself a Seiko 5, an Amphibia, a Starking and the Cadisen. Totally addicted! Can't stop anytime..

The good ol' 2813 used on loads of reps, readily available and cheap as chips and seem to run forever 👍👍😁 Also for not much cash you can swap these out for a better "quality" movement.. I think the watch is good looking enough to deserve it, maybe when the original movement goes south... 👍

that second hand running almost like a quartz, i've had an old miyota 8200 doing the same. the movement used in the pagani watch is actually just a clone of the miyota but with hacking second. they will stutter just like a miyota and even worse when not serviced. you should also try knocking the watch and the second hand will freeze.

Good review.Point of interest I have to Chinese movements and one in particular keeps extraordinary good time,a few seconds to the minus a day worn.It however also has a jumpy sweep.I assume it is to do with the escapement wheel set up? Ask a watchmaker? It also does not fill me with confidence as to how long these things last but enjoy them both for what they are,look great and didn't take my wallet to the cleaners! I got the Martini Cocktail time. Bought it last year on Christmas holiday with my Girlfriend. Actually the first watch I purchased myself. Earned the money during a student's job at a local bike shop. Yet I am still not sure what to think about the watch. The bracelet is nothing but a joke. The dial is gorgeous, yet the watch is very thick... Actually I've never had a watch for which I bought more than 2 aftermarket straps to find the one that fits the best. This one is getting its fifth strap this week, yet I am very confident that it meets my expectations, as it is a handmade, minimalist and vintage style strap from Scandinavia...

I agree, it looks great and it is very affordable. I just don't trust this mechanical movement in the long run. I think i have to save a little and buy the Seiko original.

No use for a watch like this I never would wear it. Sadly it would just sit in a drawer as I never have a chance to be fancy.

Gorgeously styled and certainly can't argue with the price. But wish they had aped Seiko's refreshingly vintage dimensions; it's just too big for those of us with smaller wrists. And that irregular sweep of the second hand doesn't inspire confidence in the quality of the movement ... it would produce a similar skip in my own heartbeat if I were to buy one. But excellent video review as always Jody!

Great review, Jody. I would be tempted, but the 43 mm is just too big for my taste. However, if you have a large wrist, this watch may be just fine.

Is the size a restriction of the movement they use? I noticed this same company makes a knockoff of the tag aquaracer but it's 45mm. I'd probably shamefully buy one if it was more reasonably sized.

So I bought the watch for fun and not a bad buy. The dial design looks correct but the patina isn't close to the seiko cocktail time which I think makes all the difference. Also while it does have the sapphire crystal, not a big fan that stepped crystal shape and prefer if it was just flat or domed even at the cost of not being sapphire. The watch is definately too thick by several mm for a dress watch. The lume is kind of silly on the hands and makes the hands look less dressy and unrefined. The strap feels very cheap and industrial. The seagull movement sounds like hissing kittens. The 43mm dial diameter is too large to be dressy. This is an interesting watch for the money but does not substitute for a seiko cocktail time. Not even close. The watch is a speced up contradiction to itself as a dress watch. Spend a little more for a orient bambino, a watch without sapphire but way better design. I have the V4 green dial one.

I bought a Feiko copy of one of these from Wish (don't bother with them). It is bloody brilliant if slightly expensive. I was surprised at the display back. I took it to my local jeweller. He was fooled, I was fooled. However, they have the same serial number on every bloomin watch. The legend on the flywheel thingy said Seiko COEP instead of Seiko CORP. I complained that they'd sold me a very expensive Feiko (I think it was about 80 quid, cheap compared to the real thing) and it was purporting to be the real deal. So I got a full refund and they told me to keep the watch. I doubt anybody would know it's not a Seiko and for all I know it's probably a Seiko movement inside unless a Miyota. The flywheel with the mis-spelt word is in steel not brass. That's something somebody could change. It's one of only two really good watches I got from Wish but it was fake. Getting a refund and a free very good lookalike shouldn't be allowed..... Somebody unscrupulous was shifting them as genuine on UK eBay. The Pagani homage is brilliant though. At least you know what you're getting. And Casio did a quartz one too which I have which has a cut glass crystal edging to the glass. I wish I could post you the number. It's an MTP and has the cocktail style indeces and the hands in the style of the cocktail stirrer like the original. That was under 30 quid from Jerusalem, Israel on eBay. Great video Jodi.
