I totally hear ya, my friend. It can be hard. But think of it this way, it's a harder life to be someone you're not and put all of that energy into doing so, for people who don't really like who you are. Happy birthday from and old lady in Minnesota! I would love to be 40 again! 22 yrs ago since I hit the big 40. But 30 was much harder for me. I'd hurt my leg, was in a wheelchair and had to move in with my brother and mother as I had months of therapy. 40 was a cakewalk compared to 30. I hope you enjoy your 40's my friend! Omg! We talked about that at breakfast, what is the best: pancakes, Waffles, French toast. I'm a French Toast, Waffle, and then pancake. HOWEVER, I am hands down eggs first
Waffles! That's the third thing I forgot to mention! Waffles would come in second for me. I was meaning more, when it comes to sweet breakfasts. I had a vegan omelette today, so I hear ya on that one. I'm more of a savory girl, but for sweet breakfasts, french toast is ma jam. hehe
My birthday is the 1st of January, so I am either on my own or with family. I either o out to eat or have a home-cooked meal and often go to the cinema. Growing up, it was annoying, as before everyone is in Christmas mode, then after, it is too cold or snowy to have a birthday party with friends.
Ooo what an interesting birth date! And I the cinema and food sounds like my kind of a day. I haven't been to the theater in a hot minute but would really like to revisit. Ah, I can see how that can be annoying, and feel a little left in the dust per say. I guess we're both right up with a day of fireworks. 😄

You made my day just magical, ma'am! It will be Matt's 40th this year too. I'm slightly older than him. hehe I've heard the same and I'm stoked! It's funny you say that, because I gave him kudos too. He's not one for caring about wrapping, and I was impressed with him. I really liked it!!! I even put it chopped up in my vegan omelette this morning.
I've already said it once but I'll say it a second time: happy birthdaaay! Your cats are so cute, I love books like that Magical Beasts book (I love looking at the pictures and skipping the text like I did as a child, haha) and that pizza looked bomb! I wish we could get small cakes like the size of your birthday cake here though. I fucking love cake, I could eat it every day, but the smallest you can get (unless you go to a really expensive bakery in the city) is for like 10 guests or so. Like no, I just wanna sit at home and eat cakes in peace by myself please and thank you. ... Which I sometimes do, but then I gotta throw away like half the cake after force feeding myself what I could the first few days before it goes off. It's really not very pleasant. :P

Hey Louisa! I've been vegan since 2008 (as they say an, 'old vegan,' or those who started back when there wasn't a designated section at the store 😂) and in July, 7, 2007 I started as vegetarian. Haha! I love that last line. You got it! 😃🥰
